Test the upcoming shotgun turret!

The turret is balanced - OP damage is balanced by reload and recoil, learn how to use it and it can easily become the most powerful weapon in the battlefield.

I equipped it with viking, equipped some DP and began wrecking everything as long as I had DP, I mean, it will wreck a hornet, wreck a wasp, can't even work on a wasp due to its recoil. But anyways, put it on viking, and there, all problems with recoil solved, you'll have barely any problems with it on viking, which makes viking hammer, OP due to its massive damage, and recoil problems negated, sure it also has long reload, but its reload is, maybe nearly the same as firebird, and when it does reload, you can just say goodbye to the guy shooting you.

Mammoth M3 is dead by two shots of Hammer with double damage, so yeah it's a way too over powered. If we are testing the M4 version at M3, it should be fine though.

yes but for a wasper like me, viking is too slow (:lol:). I love this gun, actually, but I wish that, even with a little damage rebalance, the recoil could at least be reduced a little.

Th problem with 1 shoting 3 hornets with double damage can be solved with micro upgrades and paints. Its also useles for long range. The picture is really weird and it doesnt have a description. The recoil is kind of like a railgun. To me it seems like 3 shotguns together can flip any hull.

My thoughts:

 

The first thing I noticed was, I had no idea whether or not my shots were hitting the targets. It's pretty much a guessing game, and the only way for me to know if I was hitting my enemy is when they died. I also noticed the recoil. It's ridiculous, and i'm not sure if that's good or bad. I did have fun trying out all kinds of parkour though. I don't like the current in-game design however, it looks too similar to Ricochet, and I often confused the two on the battlefield. As for damage dealing, I do feel that it's a bit overpowered, even with the long reload time

 

Suggestions:

-Make it so that we can tell if the enemy tanks are being hit or not

-Change the visual design, at least so it's possible to tell Ricochet and Hammer apart from further away.

-Allow us to fire all 3 rounds at once, keep the reload the same though, just minimize the damage dealt a little

 

 

Other than that, I really like the gun, but I don't think I'll be using it for anything but parkour. I'm incredibly pumped for the Machine Gun though, i hope we can test that one out soon

Good, but should be named magnum, and players should be able to see where they are shooting.

Also, after one or two shots, gun should reload half as fast as normal than if you shot out all 3.

The damage is similar to the Railgun's minimum damage. When you get 3 of those shots with a fire rate close to Smoky, followed by a Railgun reload, it just isn't fair. There's just too much power in that. For the people saying that it is offset by the reload, it really isn't. The bad range helps. It's like giving a Railgun the reload of Thunder. Everyone would complain that it's OP. Same story.

I can't wait for the machine gun, but I wonder what rank it will be unlocked at in the game when it comes out, because then I may need to grind some XP and cash. and machine gun is definitely going to need some skill, especially when the enemy is doing a flanking maneuver(mostly due to the gyro scope, which is a weakness in this case).

After testing I think the main problem as others have said is not knowing if you have hit someone or not. I also think the damage and reload need tweaking, I was thinking maybe keep at 3 shots, reduce the damage and have a reload style like the Rico's.

Do you mean a reload for 1 plasma ball or the entire yellow bar? Cos if you could get 3 shots, then a reload of 1 plasma ball then the damage would have to significantly be dropped. You're talking damage slightly higher than twins. The damage does already have to be tweaked though.

I mean for the whole bar so if you only fire 1 shot the bar still recharges but at a slower speed than it takes to shoot your next shot. So if you unload all 3 your fire rate is reduced to the amount of time it takes to reload the next shot unless you let the bar reload back to 2 or 3 shots. Just like when you let Rico reload.

 

Hope that makes sence.
