Guide_to_Railgun.jpg

The Railgun is a very popular and powerful turret in the world of Tanki Online. It fires a beam that changes colour over its modifications. It takes quite a lot of skill, practice, and  dedication to master. Keeping the aforementioned in mind, it makes sense for this gun to be  so popular. So popular in fact, that is has one-of-a-kind battles just for it!

Pros         Cons

Railgun is known for its high damage per shot and low rate of fire, as well as that small, but rather irritating delay before fire.

Numerous tanks can be hurt in the line of fire due to Railgun's penetrating power. The damage done depends on the strength of the parameter.

Rail_shot.jpg

Railgun has a high impact force and can easily flip someone when it strikes a precise shot to the enemy's turret.

As a side effect, it might flip your tank over if it is too light.

Wasp_Flip.jpg

Railgun also has a relatively slow rotation speed and it takes quite a while to recharge and become usable again.

The Railgun is very basic in appearance at this stage. It is not very detailed and it has a light blue charge-up and beam.

You can now see small metal components distinctively, although the changes are rather minor. The charge-up and beam are now a more saturated blue.

The turret is now covered with large chunks of metal and looks very appealing. The charge-up and beam have changed into a beautiful soft purple.

After a series of changes, we are left with a very detailed turret with a futuristic look. The charge-up and beam have abandoned the 'cool colours' theme and changed to a warm yellow

Turning The Turret

There is a line that separates the skill level of a beginner and a pro Railgun user. What are some characteristics of pros that beginners do not have? For one, it is the ability to turn your turret around.

Rail_shot_2.jpg

Simply turning the turret makes it easier to aim. Less misses and more direct shots is what you need, and learning the art of turning your turret does it for you. Whether you want to scout your surroundings or shoot horizontally, you just have to turn your turret.

The Peek-a-Boo

What else is there? How about the ''peek-a-boo'' tactic. It is simply the act of taking cover behind a wall or monument, and then charge up as you 'pop' out of cover and shoot.

Figure 1

Rail_shot_4.jpg

Figure 2

Rail_shot_3.jpg

As you can see on Figure 1, you have to take cover.  Hop into Figure 2 and you can see that when you spot your enemy, you immediately come out of cover and shoot them. Remember to charge-up as you do that. This tactic is meant to save you some time and surprise your enemies. It is effective, but requires some basic skills.

Flip Them Over

As for another good tip, try to flip your opponents! This works best when you can angle your firing position so that it hits the enemy's turret, or when the enemy is in free-fall.

Flip_2.jpg

Flipping light hulls, sometimes medium hulls, and maybe even heavy hulls is made possible with Railgun. This, of course, depends on how you do it!

Guide_to_Railgun.jpg

                                          Micro Upgrades

When micro-upgrading Railgun's parameters, work your way through the most important ones (Damage, Impact force, Penetrating power, Reload time) first. Stress more on Damage and Impact force as they will provide great results in battle. An unwritten, but helpful rule is that you should micro-upgrade any hull or turret at M3. Otherwise, you will lose the upgrades and waste crystals for temporary results. Micro-upgrading at M3 gives you ever-lasting results.

Rail_MUs.png

                                      Angular Aiming

When aiming with Railgun, it is crucial to perform this trick. When you want to shoot higher than normal, simply charge up your gun as you go backwards, then suddenly press up and your beam will go higher. Refer to the picture. If one doesn't pull off the trick, then the shot will hit the ramp.

Savepic_1.jpg

To do the opposite, you do it the other way around. Simply charge up your gun as you move forwards, then suddenly press down on your keyboard and you will see your beam going down. Otherwise, the beam will hit the elevated platform as seen in the snapshot.

Shoot_Perpendic.png

                                     Light Hull Risk

It is important to remember that Railgun has a high recoil. This means that if you are using a light hull, and charging up as you begin to fire up slops, you will end up with tank upside-down on the ground. Note that this tidbit of information applies when you are shooting with your turret perpendicular to your hull. This can also be applied during free-fall, but there are certain cases in which you shoot during free-fall and end up standing on your tracks. Just be careful and keep this in mind.

 Railgun_m3.png                                  Wasp + Railgun

A very good combination, and used in BP battles. Wasp's speed and maneuverability helps you to make quick attacks and capture flags fast. The Peek-a-Boo tactic works very well as the turret on Wasp is placed on the back. Railgun's impact force and recoil is helpful in Parkour. Wasp's tiny size enables the user to dodge certain attacks. It has weak armour and can flip over easily, but this is a compensation for excellent speed. Despite these flaws,  this combination performs well on the battlefield.

Railgun_m3.png                             Hornet + Railgun

A very popular combination, and a lethal one too. It is used in XP  battles. Very good for capturing flags. Hornet has a bit of imperfections such as the drifting and low weight. This unfortunately makes Hornet a hull that can flip over with ease and is sometimes hard to maneuver it in cramped areas. With that being said, it is strong when used with Railgun. It is slightly more durable than the Wasp, meaning that you can survive for a bit in close combat. The real deal is the speed, which helps the user to perform quick attacks and pull off several tactics. Overall, it is an enjoyable combination and it is crystal-clear as to why it is so over-used.

Railgun_m3.png              Dictator + Railgun

As we are about to enter the end of the hulls spectrum - the group of heavy hulls - we take a moment to remember a fearful tank in the old days of Tanki. Dictator supports Railgun; it strengthens its capabilities. It should be clear by now that Railgun can flip enemies over without much trouble, but Dictator takes this feature a step further. Its prominent height and position of the turret  will enable the user to flip its opponents over much more effectively, provided that you hit their turret with Railgun. It will be much harder to take flags with it as the speed is a bit of a letdown. No wonder this combination was feared so much by most!

That is about all there is to it! Good luck and see you on the battlefield ;)

A Guide to Freeze

By: doduobird

Introduction

Freeze is a very popular gun in Tanki. It is a good choice for offensive and defensive players alike, and fits well on a variety of hulls, such as Viking, Mammoth, and Hornet. As the name suggests, Freeze has the ability to shower snow on opposing tanks, slowing down their movements for a short period of time, although this can be cancelled out by the effects of an Isida, a Firebird, or a Repair Kit.

Pros and Cons

+

Freeze effect goes through multiple tanks, meaning you can freeze many tanks at the same time

Freeze reloads quickly, making it a great defensive and offensive gun

Freeze has a decent charge, allowing it to shoot for a long time

Freeze has a spread effect, so you can hit opponents above and below you

Freeze is pretty cheap and all modifications are unlocked pretty early

-

Freeze has no recoil meaning that it is hard to use it to jump from ledges

The freezing effect can be countered by Isidas, Repair Kits, or Firebirds

Freeze's range is short compared to other guns like Thunder and Hammer

There are lots of paints that can protect against it

How to use Freeze

Freeze is a gun that takes lots of skill, so I will tell you how to use Freeze. Freeze has longer range than Isida, meaning that you can easily outrange it and leave it helpless to die. Another tactic that Freeze users commonly use is the "circling method". Basically, when you're facing someone head on, try to freeze him and then start circling around him. Learning to turn your turret is also important in this. Try to keep your turret in a line with their turret, that way they have a hard time hitting your tank. Their motions are slowed down by the freezing effect, meaning that you have lots of time to circle him and let Freeze's high DPS do the rest. Freeze users should constantly be on the move, because if you stay in the same spot for too long, people will just avoid you, and it will be hard to get more kills. Hiding in shrubbery with a good camouflage paint is another good strategy, as sometimes other tankers will not see you, so you can sneak up behind them and grab a free kill. Also, try to look for multiple tanks grouped up together. Freeze's effect will still effect all of them, meaning that you can easily gain lots of points by hitting all of them. The next part below will explain what to do when facing different types of guns.

Strategy against other turrets

Vs. Hammer

Hammer is a very deadly weapon in close combat. When facing one of these, do not try to approach it directly, as it has huge knockback meaning it will take a long time for you to reach him, and you could die by then. Instead, try to catch it when it's reloading, as it is pretty much helpless and you can easily take your time running circles around it. Drugging Hammers can be a huge problem, since with Double Power equipped, they can pretty much 2 hit or 1 hit your tank.

Key points: Don't try to approach it directly, try to attack it when it's reloading, or sneak up on it from behind.

Vs. Shaft

Shaft is a long range weapon, and the new update made it so that you can see it when it's in scope mode, because it gives out a laser. This makes things a lot easier for the Freeze user. Shaft users mainly have their scope concentrated on one part of the map, and you can see which part they are concentrating on via the red laser. Thus, try to approach it from a different place, and attack it from it's blind spot. Once it realizes that it's being attacked, it's pretty much over. Another trick that you can use is when you're on a ramp, and the Shaft user is on the top of the ramp stopping anyone from advancing up, you can shoot out the Freeze particles into it's line of vision, effectively making it blind, so that you can run up next to it and start attacking it.

Key points: Approach the Shaft from it's blind spot, don't try to approach it directly.

Vs. Ricochet

I find that battling Ricochet is quite easy. Don't try to fight it in the open, as it has lots of time to back up and start firing at you, as the huge impact of the plasma balls can make it hard for you to reach him. However, if you must do this, try to drive your tank from side to side, as the plasma balls travel quite slowly, so it will  be harder for you to get hit. Try to attack a Ricochet in close quarters, as it is harder for it to bounce the plasma balls off of walls when it has a high risk of hitting itself.

Key points: Don't try to fight Ricochet in the open, try to attack it in close quarters where it risks hitting itself \

Vs. Freeze

There's really no way to beat an opposing Freeze, it pretty much boils down to the modification of your tank, how much health you have left, how much charge you have left, and your paint. The only way you can beat other Freezes is if you sneak up on them, as if you fight them head on, then there's no guarantee that you can win. When fighting in small maps, equipping a Freeze paint such as Jaguar is a good choice since Freeze is very common in small maps such as Ping Pong and Combe.

Key points: Sneak up behind it.

Vs. Thunder

Thunder is a tricky gun to battle against, due to it's splash damage, so you can't hide next to objects due to the fact that you may get hit by the splash damage. However, you can use this to your advantage. By rushing up close to it, the Thunder user is forced to shoot you and take his own splash damage. If you're low on health, you can also use the circling method, as Thunder's turning speed isn't exactly great. Getting close to a Thunder can be hard due to it's long range, so try to take routes where there is lots of camouflage to avoid being spotted.

Key points: Use his splash damage to hurt himself, however, the Thunder user may self destruct on you, stealing your points and your time. Approaching it can be hard, so take hidden routes, or just wait until it comes your way.

Vs. Isida

This is fairly straightforward. The easiest way is to just Freeze it so that it's slowed down, and then slowly start backing up. Since you outrange Isida, you can hit him, but he can't hit you! You can also use the circling method, since if it's turret isn't lined up with your tank, it can't attack. However, this is a bit riskier since it's turning speed is very fast.

Key points: Use your range to your advantage.

Vs. Railgun

Railgun is actually very easy to beat. Just don't try to attack it on open ground, since it can easily snipe you down. As long as you're not a wasp, you can easily take 1 railgun shot and then proceed to kill it while it is recharging. You can also fake it to shoot at you by popping out of your cover for a bit and then running back in when it's shot is charging.

Key points: Don't cross open ground to attack it, and try to kill it while it is recharging.

Vs. Twins

Twins can be a massive pain in the butt due to it's massive recoil. If you're up against Mammoth + Twins, I seriously suggest you to just run away, since it'll be nearly impossible to beat it due to it's massive HP and it's extremely hard to approach it. This is probably the most annoying gun for most tankers. To beat it, you'll need to hide in cover until it starts looking for you, then you can start circling around it. If it sees you trying to attack him, just run away, you'll never even get close to him.

Key points: Don't waste your time attacking Mammoth + Twins, try to hide and then atttack.

Vs. Firebird

Firebird is another weapon that excels in close combat. Approaching it head on is literally suicide since just a few seconds of being exposed to burn will cause you to die. Pretty much the only way you can win is by attacking it from behind, or when it's recharging, since it has a short charge and a very slow recharge time.

Key points: Attack it when it is recharging, this way you can take advantage of it's slow recharge time

Vs. Smoky

Never try to approach Smoky from far away. Your health bar will slowly start to go down, and that's not accounting for possible crits. If you're at full health, you can run at it head on, since you have the upper hand. There's not a high probability of him landing enough crits in the same time that it takes you to kill the Smoky.

Key points: Pray that you won't get critted, don't try to approach it head on, let Freeze's high DPS take care of the rest.

What hulls should I mount on Freeze?

I'll be going over the main ones that you'll see Freeze paired up with.

Hornet:

Hornet is one of the best fits for Freeze, since you have the speed to circle around your opponents, while also having enough HP for living one Railgun shot and a few Thunder shots.

Rating: 9/10

Viking:

Viking + Freeze was a feared combo back before the rebalance. Viking has a flat profile, meaning it is harder to be flipped. It also has decent speed and decent HP, meaning that it can be a good defending and attacking tank.

Rating 9.510

Mammoth:

Mammoth + Freeze is a great defensive tank, being able to live lots of hits, while also being able to Freeze tankers that are trying to take your flag in CTF. With drugs, this thing is just scary. Mammy + Freeze is literally the best defensive combo. With one of these on your team, you'll almost never lose your team's flag.

Rating: 8/10

Titan:

I'd say that Titan is pretty much a better version of Mammoth. However, at M2, many people go for Mammy due to it being less expensive. However, if you were to eliminate the price argument, I'd flat out say that Titan outclasses Mammoth.

Rating: 8.5/10

Wasp:

Freeze Wasp is a decent combo. Wasp gives you lots of speed, but you don't really need it that much since their movements are slowed down by the freezing effect. It's extra speed can help you reach long range guns faster, but it's lower health means that it is killed faster.

Rating: 7/10

Hunter:

Hunter is another good hull to use with Freeze. It has moderate speed and HP, meaning that you have the ability to still beat lots of turrets like Thunders due to your good HP. However, Viking is more preferable since the extra HP is more worth it since you will not be needing the extra speed that much.

Rating: 8.5/10

What paints should I use to protect myself from Freeze?

There are lots of paints that you can use, and I'll be grouping them into 2 groups, expensive and cheap.

Expensive:

Zeus 25%

Picasso 20%

Rock 15%

Inferno 40%

Irbis 20%

Loam 10%

Hohloma 20%

Rustle 20%

Cheap:

Python 32%

Jaguar 23%

Alien 5%

In Love 15%

Storm 6%

Mary 14%

Lava 15%

Guide To Smart Cooldowns and Predictable Drops

Introduction and History

Smart cooldowns and predictable drops were introduced on 29 September and 18 November 2014 respectively. Together with the introduction of smart cooldowns, all the supplies in a player's garage were doubled, a move designed to allow players to get accustomed to the new system without wasting supplies. Interestingly enough, both these updates were not well received by the English community and actually had negative ratings on their respective developer threads.

Yes, crystals used to drop from the sky

Initially, predictable drops also included the drop points of crystal boxes (which have since been removed from the game). Crystal boxes could contain 1,5,10,20 or 100 crystals, depending on rate of increase of battle fund. However, this resulted in a sharp increase of mults (saboteurs) and crystal collectors in team battles, causing the quality of play to decline sharply. Thus, due to player feedback, crystal drops and their respective predictable drop signs have since been removed from the game altogether and any crystals that would have dropped as boxes are now added to the battle fund.

Gold Box Experiments

There were also a few noticeable changes to the gold boxes and its notifications since the update. At first, gold boxes dropped at random timings after the gold box notification. The location of the gold box drop was marked by a predictable drop point with a unique gold box sign. Therefore, players knew where the gold box would drop but remained in the dark as to when it would drop. Player feedback has seen developers change this random interval multiple times to fixed intervals between the siren and the falling of the gold box. These intervals ranged from 1 minute, to 20 seconds, to immediately after the siren. Eventually, developers settled with dropping the gold box 20 seconds after the notification, the ideal timing for minimum disruption of gameplay and providing everyone a fair chance at catching the gold box. The gold box also now had an increased number of potential drop points, indicated after the siren when a tank is in close proximity with the drop point.

Overview

This guide will attempt to explain the logic and mechanics behind these features and provide key ideas and tips on their correct utilization. This would encourage a more tactical approach to every match and allow conservation of garage supplies while delivering the upper hand to the tanker that best complements map supplies with garage supplies.

Before the Update

Before the update, drop points and the supplies dropped at these points were not distributed evenly and multiple supplies often dropped at a point.

  • This meant that the picking up of these supplies by players was based mostly on luck and players often neglected these supplies, failing to factor in these supplies and their respective drop points as an integral part of the game.

Moreover, supplies picked from the map only lasted 30 seconds (only applicable to DD, DA and Speed Boost). Garage supplies on the other hand, lasted 1 whole minute and a player could activate all supplies at once. The cooldowns of supplies were localized in effect, meaning activating one supply would not affect the cooldown of other supplies. Supply drops that were not picked for a certain period of time would eventually blink and disappear.

  • Given the circumstances, certain players tended to rely only on garage supplies and many tankers began lamenting the prevalence of games ruined by 'druggers'.

After the Update (Brief)

Smart Cooldowns

Supplies (only applicable to DD, DA and Speed Boost) now each last for 45 seconds, regardless of whether they are picked from the map or whether they are garage supplies. This places emphasis on supplies dropped in a map. Activating one supply would send some other supplies into cooldown, meaning that not all supplies can be activated at once. This encouraged the use of map supplies and drop boxes.

Predictable Drops

Drop points and the respective supplies that dropped there are now fixed, with only 1 particular supply dropping at a particular point.

Players could now see predictable drop points on the floor, such as these:
aspi0sg.png

Not to mention, supply drops no longer expire. They stay in place until picked up by players.
This means, players could now factor in these drop points into their gameplay.

For example, in a CTF match, a player could plan routes which would include speed boost and double armor drop points into the enemy base. After grabbing the enemy flag, he could then take routes with repair kits along the way on his escape. Effective control of supply drop points in a match by a team often defines the battle outcome. Likewise, in DM matches, control of supply drop points gives a player the upper hand. This advantage of using map supplies is further accentuated by the introduction of smart cooldowns.

This is a sample route of what a player on blue team might take in his attempt to capture a flag in the map Serpuhov.
q5K48Kr.png

As you can see, the route contains 5 Speed Boost drop points, 2 DA drop points and 2 repair kit drop points. The reason for including so many drop points is simple: Not all drop points will have supplies at the moment the player decides to attack.

DD can be activated by the player from his garage supplies. Remember, if you do not take these supply drops, your opponents will. On the other hand, if there are teammates in the vicinity and there are no opponents around, take what you need and leave the rest for your teammates, especially if they can make better use of the supplies than you.

Detailed breakdown of smart cooldowns

Supplies are divided into 3 main categories.

Primary Supplies

UqRM0yX.pngZ9ZuidQ.png

  • Lasts for 45 seconds.
  • When activated, sends secondary and primary supplies into 15 second cooldowns.
  • Activation does not affect cooldowns of tertiary supplies.
  • The same supply can only be reactivated 15 seconds after the initial supply has been used up.
  • Activation of tertiary or secondary supplies send primary supplies into 15 second cooldowns.

Secondary Supplies

GwGAR1L.png

  • Lasts for 45 seconds.
  • When activated, sends primary supplies into 15 second cooldowns.
  • Activation does not affect cooldown of tertiary supplies.
  • The same supply can only be reactivated 15 seconds after the initial supply has been used up.
  • Activation of primary supplies sends secondary supplies into 15 second cooldowns.
  • Activation of tertiary supplies do not affect cooldown of secondary supplies.

Tertiary Supplies

5ejLdBX.pngPS2W0yc.png

  • When activated sends primary supplies and the other tertiary supply into 15 second cooldowns.
  • Activation does not affect cooldown of secondary supplies.
  • The same supply can only be reactivated 30 seconds after the initial supply has been used up.

This new system means that players now have to plan carefully the order their garage supplies are activated. Moreover, it is now impossible to activate DD, DA and Speed Boost at the same time using garage supplies. The only way to ‘triple drug’ would be to combine map supplies with garage supplies.

Strategies and Execution

Now we know the basics of how smart supplies operate and the essence of predictable drops, we shall now delve into a few methods and strategies taking advantage of these features to create more tactical gameplay and give you an edge over fellow tankers.

Remember all those annoying tankers pre update who seemed to enjoy an inexhaustible reserve of supplies? Now you can play like them without having to throw your garage supplies down the drain. All you have to do is be aware of your surroundings and the location of predictable drop points.

For example in a Serpuhov CTF, these are the locations of the respective predictable drops.
W7hKdpr.png

Clearly, one should plan routes that pass through as many drop points as possible. I suggest picking a route with DA and Speed Boost on your way to the enemy base. These are the 2 essential supplies that need to be activated/picked for a successful flag capture. In the event that both supplies can be picked from the ground, feel free to activate DD and rumble your way to success. On your way back to your base, pick a route with as many repair kit drop points as possible. This, combined with the repair kit from your garage, would make your tank almost invincible, even if you are using a light tank.

Pictures of Maps and Predictable Drops...

This is a list of maps I compiled showing all the drop points (some may be obscured such as in Subway and Madness but most of the important maps, including those used for tournaments have full views of all the predictable drop points). Having full knowledge of the essential drop points in your vicinity would make you a tougher opponent in battle. Try your best to pick up as many drop boxes as possible, unless a teammate nearby could make better use of it.

Knowing the locations of important drop points isn't enough. You must now combine these supplies with the ones from your garage. Try your best to have all 3 supplies (DD, DA and Speed Boost) activated at once. This vastly increases the percentage success of your missions and would allow you to dominate your opponents. Do not be afraid to use garage supplies. No matter what others say, they are in the game for a reason. They are given as daily gifts and readily fall from heaven in all maps, so why not use them to your advantage? Ignore those tankers complaining about you being a 'drugger noob' because with recent updates, it actually takes a good amount of skill to have triple supplies activated.

Tips on Smartly Activating Supplies

1. Always activate a primary or secondary supply first before using a tertiary supply. This is because activating a primary/secondary supply would not affect the cooldown of tertiary supplies.

2. On the other hand, activating a tertiary supply would send primary and secondary supplies into 15 second cooldowns and would render your tank vulnerable for 15 whole seconds.

3. Repair kit now lasts for 2 seconds and repairs at a rate of 200 health points per second. Use this new feature to your advantage and 'absorb' enemy fire. Preferably, only activate it when your health drops below half or a high burst turret such as a railgun or shaft is about to shoot at you (provided you are using a light hull).

4. In death matches, pick every supply box you see, because if you don't, someone else will and will use it to his advantage.
What hull turret combination you choose to use is up to personal preference and each has its unique and different style of play. Despite all the different combinations you choose to use, regardless of whether you are using a light, heavy or medium hull, there has to be a constant in your style of play- always try to control the drop points and deprive your opponents as much as possible of map supplies. This is the key to an effortless, flawless victory and victories would naturally bring you truckloads of crystals, right?

Hope this helped you in your understanding of the mechanics of Smart cooldowns and Predictable Drops :)

Good Luck!

Guide on Turrets' Micro-Upgrades: Which One and When?

Tanker, we hope this guide will help you choose the right turret for you and the right time to Micro-Upgrade it!
Let's start from the very beginning of the game. You can skip to any step, depending on your current rank.

22px-IconsNormal_01.png→ 22px-IconsNormal_02.png Introduction to the Garage.
When you click Play on the main page and successfully make an account, you immediately join a battle. After getting your bonus 200 crystals for joining the battle, leave it and go to Garage. You start as a Recruit with 500 crystals, having only Hunter M0 and Smoky M0 in your Garage. First of all, go to Garage and Micro-Upgrade the first steps of the hull and turret you currently have - Smoky M0's Damage, Critical chance and Critical damage, Hunter M0's Protection and Speed. These are the cheapest and each of them costs just 1 crystal. MU-ing the following things will only cost 5 crystals, but will give you a slight advantage over others.

The first battle.
After Micro-Upgrading the most important parameters of your hull and turret, it's time to join a battle and test them out! You have Smoky and Hunter, both of them show their best abilities in medium maps. Sandbox or Boombox are the recommended ones for that equipment.
You also get crystals for ranking up, so try ranking up to Gefreiter in your first battle. After that, a vast amount of equipments will become available for you. But which one to choose?

The perfect choice.

There's always a good choice of combinations, depending on your favorite game style. You already played the game and have your own opinion on it.  It's time to make your first important decision on buying something.
Which turret to buy,  when and which parameters to Microupgrade? This question will find its answer as you continue reading this guide.

Starting to Micro-Upgrade.
Here will be listed only the parameters of turrets which will give you the most advantage in battles when Micro-Upgraded. The recommended amount of Micro-Upgrades is up to seven steps. These steps cost less and give you the most advantage. After these steps the prices rise and the amount of added stats continuously decrease. But this doesn't mean it's pointless to go further than 7 Micro-Upgrades of characteristics, because after fully upgrading one you will get a discount on the next modification. It all depends on your wallet. It's not recommended to Microupgrade parameters too much until you become a Staff Sergeant, just for saving up crystals.

22px-IconsNormal_07.png → 22px-IconsNormal_10.png
At these ranks you can get your first M1s - Shaft, Firebird, Isida and Smoky. Shaft M1, Firebird M1 and Isida M1 are effective at low ranks, but it lose their effectiveness after several ranks. On the other hand, Smoky still stays effective thanks to its critical damage.
120px-Turret_smoky_m1.png

Smoky: A bullet launcher which is exceptionally good for mid-range battles. Smoky has the ability to land critical hits, which transfer electric shock and make the enemy tank tremble! Also has a good chance of knocking off enemy's aim.

Smoky is effective on any hull and in any game mode, especially in DM.
Turret's most important parameters are DamageCritical chance and Critical damage. Recommended amount of Microupgrades is 5 steps each.

22px-IconsNormal_11.png → 22px-IconsNormal_14.png
Freeze M1, Twins M1, Ricochet M1, Thunder M1, Railgun M1, Hammer M1. Yes, all of these are unlocked for Warrant Officers and each one is uniquely effective, but you need to think twice before getting any of these, as the second modifications (M2) become available after a lot of time and effort. The one that will stay effective after several ranks is Hammer, thanks to its massive damage and fast reload time.

120px-Turret_hammer_m1.png
Hammer: The recommendation of successful players. A really awesome turret for close-range battles. Hammer deals massive damage, has a high impact force which will let you knock your enemies off target, making them miss.
Hammer is good for any game mode, but a preferable option is the mode CP in medium maps.
Turret's most important parameters are DamageReloading and Range. Recommended amount of Microupgrades is 5 steps to Damage, 2 steps to Reloading and 6 steps to Range.

22px-IconsNormal_15.png → 22px-IconsNormal_19.png
Freeze M2, Isida M2, Hammer M2, Thunder M2, Ricochet M2. These are turrets of medium and close range, but can be used on any map; it all depends on the player who uses them. For these ranks Thunder M2 is the most effective and dangerous, especially if it faces low ranked players with M1 equipment. Also, don't forget about the fact that Freeze M2 unlocks at the rank of Warrant Officer 5 and is the first M2 that becomes available in the Garage.

120px-Turret_thunder_m2.png
Thunder: A deadly weapon. Deadly both for you and your enemies! Has a massive damage rate, impact force, a good distance for effective shooting, and of course - the splash damage, which makes it risky to use in small maps as it may damage your tank aswell.
Suits best for medium hulls, feels comfortable in any game mode.
Turret's most important parameters are DamageRange. Recommended amount of Microupgrades is 6 steps to Damage, 4 steps to Range.

22px-IconsNormal_20.png → 22px-IconsNormal_22.png
The next generation of M2 turrets unlocks till the rank of Colonel. Firebird M2, Twins M2, Smoky M2, Shaft M2. Yes, another series of deadly weapons. If you had bought Smoky M1, as it was previously suggested, upgrade it to M2. If you don't have it M1, get Twins M2 - a turret that deals massive damage in close and mid range, without the need to reload.

120px-Turret_twins_m2.png
Twins: Has unlimited fire duration, and high damage rate. The impact force makes opponents miss the shot. Effective in any kind of operation, but DM is the mode in which it feels most comfortable.
Works best on medium maps and on medium or heavy hulls.
Turret's most important parameters are DamageRangeDamage on max range. Recommended amount of Microupgrades is 3 steps on Damage, 4 steps to Range, 2 steps to Damage on max range.

22px-IconsNormal_23.png → 22px-IconsNormal_24.png
Life as a real tanker begins from here as the M3s become available for you! From now on, we won't be talking about the recommended amount of Microupgrades, because each time you Microupgrade a parameter, the upgrade will stay forever as there are no other modifications buying which will make the previous upgrades disappear. Now, the amount of Microupgrades depends on your wish and the size of your wallet.
Isida M3, Freeze M3, Thunder M3 and Shaft M3 are the first M3s that are unlocked. If you had bought Thunder M2, get Thunder M3 next. Isida and Freeze are close range turrets, so let's take a look at both of them and Shaft M3.

120px-Turret_isida_m3.png
Isida: The medic of the game and the team's "heart". It has the shortest range, takes a lot of time to reload, but heals your tank while damaging the opponent. Has the ability to heal your teammates and counteracts freeze and fire effects. The perfect choice for players in the midfield - helps both the attackers and the defenders, depending on the situation.
Isida goes best with light hulls. Medium and large maps are the recommended ones for it. Plays a crucial role in CP and CTF, by helping the teammates to keep the area around the point / flag free from enemy tanks.
Turret's most important parameters are HealingDamageSelf-healing (%).

120px-Turret_freeze_m3.png
Freeze: Slows down the opponent and makes them stay frozen for several seconds. If used correctly, it can kill the strongest opponents without receiving any damage at all. It's Firebird's worst enemy - makes Firebird's afterburn effect disappear in a second or two.
Freeze is good especially in close-range battles on light and medium hulls.
Turret's most important parameters are Damage, ReloadingRange.

120px-Turret_shaft_m3_2.png
Shaft: Snipers' best choice! The optical scope makes it easy to hit targets that are far away. The turret's large size and the laser scope can let the enemy spot you, but if used effectively, that will never happen.
Shaft's true power is shown in large maps, especially in CTF mode.
Turret's most important parameters are Sniping damageArcade damageRotation speed.

22px-IconsNormal_25.png → 26px-IconsNormal_29.png
And another set of powerful weapons get unlocked at these ranks - Hammer M3, Railgun M3, Twins M3, Smoky M3, Firebird M3, Ricochet M3. If you already have Hammer M1, Smoky M2, Twins M2 and Thunder M2 (which were previously suggested), make them M3. Let's take a look at Firebird, Ricochet and Railgun now as they are turrets of close, medium and long range respectively.

120px-Turret_firebird_m3_2.png
Firebird: The cooking expert! A good choice for close-range battles. Firebird has the ability to attack multiple tanks at the same time, while the burning opponents continue taking damage due to its afterburn effect. It takes a lot of time to reload, but deals massive damage, especially when Micro-Upgraded.
Firebird is good for small maps, especially in CP mode. Goes best with light hulls.
Turret's most important parameters are DamageReloading and Burning time.

120px-Turret_ricochet_m3.png
Ricochet: An ideal weapon for mid-range battles. Its orange balls ricochet off walls and travel a long distance. Has a high impact force, improved auto-aim system and deals massive damage. Ideal for players who defend the flag and also take part in sharp attacks.
Goes best with medium and heavy hulls, feels like fish in water in any game mode.
Turret's most important parameters are Damage and Range.

120px-Turret_railgun_m3.png
Railgun: A good choice for players who like surprising their opponents. Get to the enemy base with a nimble hull, use Railgun's massive damage to kill the last defender and carry the flag! You want to look more deadly than that? Impossible!
Railgun suits best for large maps. Useful for any game mode.
Turret's most important parameters are DamageReloading and Penetrating power.

You will hopefully make your choice by also closely looking at the statistics of these turrets, comparing each one with the others and deciding what you like. Now it's time to clean the dust off of your tank and test it on the battlefield. Good luck, tanker!

And because the Wiki was in need of advices from (experienced) players, I made a brief guide on crystals (even though the above one is my actual entry, if only one is accepted), explaining the methods of earning them.

Crystals: How to Earn?

1) In-game challenges.
The game rewards you for doing some things for the first time - joining a battle, purchasing an equipment in the Garage, buying crystals for real money, inviting a friend to the game.

congo.png

2) Daily bonus.
Each time you log in you receive a bonus from the game. If you're lucky enough, you'll receive crystals sometimes. The amount of received crystals depends on your rank.

congratulations.png

3) Rewards.
You get crystals in the end of almost every battle. The amount of it depends on how well you performed.

reward.jpg

4) Gold Box.
150px-Gold.png
This is box that falls from the sky just like the supply boxes, but contains 1000 crystals. Nobody can tell for sure where and when it will fall, because the odds are very low - each time the battle fund grows by 1 crystal, the chance of its falling is 1/7000. The exact place of falling is only shown right after the notification and after 20 seconds the mysterious box slowly lands on the ground. More about Gold Box.

5) Rank-ups.
You get crystals each time you rank up. The higher your rank, the more the crystals!

referals_new_en.jpg

6) Referrals.
Invite your friends to the game. You'll enjoy playing with your friends and will also get crystals each time they rank up.

Referals_en.jpg

7) Contests, tournaments.
You can take part in many kinds of contests that are held on the Forum and outside it.

  • Official contests - Posted in the Contests section of the Forum and on social media (Facebook, Twitter)  these are the ones with the biggest prizes.
  • Newspaper contests - Posted in the Press section of the Forum, these too are official contests which test your creativity and writing skills.
  • Tournaments - Whether you want to take part in a player-made tournament or make your own one, Free Sport section of the Forum is the right place to start. That is the place where you can test your skills and get crystals for winning tournaments!

8) Buying.

dgu48.png
The easiest and fastest way to get lots of crystals is simply by buying them. It's recommended to buy crystals when you have a Double Crystal Card (DCC), making sure you'll get bonus crystals! How to buy crystals.

9) Other

  • Surveys
Sometimes Developers make surveys for asking players what they think on certain updates, for example. The prizes are not much, around 200 crystals, but you don't have much to do either. Tanki Online Surveys.

  • Special events.
Take part in special events like Facebook Battles, Mammoth Rush, Shooting Range, Mine Hunt and more. They're posted on Tanki Online Facebook page several days before starting.

  • Weekly contests
Weekly contests like Question of the Week or Video of the Week are excellent chances to test your luck, sharp mind and creativity. Follow the V-LOGs!

  • Saving crystals
A penny saved is a penny earned. You can wait and buy items while they're on a sale, thus saving mountains of crystals!

Good Luck!

Signing out,

Firebird

FirebirdM-3.jpg

We all now the classical weapon (turrent) firebird which was in the game since  early days. The only weapon on tanki that alows you to burn your enemy to dust. The speciality of the firebird is the afterburn.Which is famous among tankers in the present. Also this weapon is a great choice for light and medium hulls. Just like other wepons  their are upgrades and micro upgrades. But before all that let's focus on the advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

  1. Good in small scale battles (island, sandbox, boombox, farm)
  2. Has the abilty of afterburn
  3. Highspeed rotation of the turrent
  4. Number of tanks will be damaged (if they are packed)

Disadvantages:

  1. A very short ranged weapon
  2. Major disadvantage in large scale maps (Osa, Monte carlo, Dusseldorf, Madness)
  3. Slow recharge

Upgrades

M0: The normal firebird is available from recruit 150px-Turret_firebird_m0_2.png

M1: Available from master sergent  150px-Turret_firebird_m1_2.png

M2: available from Major  150px-Turret_firebird_m2_2.png

M3: Available from Commander 150px-Turret_firebird_m3_2.png

Table of statisics:

Hull variations

  1. Wasp: This light weighted hull is great for short range weapons 150px-Hull_wasp_m0.png
  2. Hornet: Light weighted hornet is popular among most tankers (personally I recomend it with firebird)   150px-Hull_hornet_m0.png
  3. Viking: Medium weighted viking is firece as its name. If you are up against higher rankers this hull + the firebird It's almost impossible to defeat. 150px-Hull_vicing_m0.png
  4. Hunter: The meduim weighted hunter is also a great combo with a firebird 150px-Hull_hunter_m0.png
  5. Diktator: It's height allows you to get a good aim at your enemy with a firebird150px-Hull_dictator_m0.png
  6. Titan: Heavy hull titan is great for defensing + with the firebird neverending firepower enemy has nochance to get pass as heavy as it is it lacks speed150px-Hull_titan_m0.png
  7. Mammoth: Just like the titan this heavy weighted mammoth can last long in battle field + the firebird mammoth is second to none, as always it lacks speed 150px-Hull_mammoth_m0.png

A fully micro Upgraded weapon will get a 50% off of it's next upgrade!

Up against enemies.........

  1. Smoky: This long ranged weapon fires single shells that gives criticals hits. So the short ranged firebird is defenseless with it face to face. The important thing is to camp or go to the enemy unditected. using the environment is effective.
  2. Twins: This mid ranged weapon consisted with unlimited firing duration. Due to this most aim of turrnets will be undone, but don't worry this is firebird the twins fire power is over matched. Camping may work but stay close to the enemy if it tries to get off the firebird's range
  3. Isida: This weapon can heal it self while damaging the enemy. Also this is the only weapon that can heal its teamates. Using the surrroundings we can avoid been attacked while attacking from behind is the best way to defeat the isida
  4. Railgun: It packs a heavy punch but it takes time to reload. Most railgun users use 'hit and run'  stratergy so its important to stay close to the enemy.Be aware of mines.using zigzag movement is  a good sratergy http://prntscr.com/5twh5l (works with ricochet, thunder)
  5. Thunder: It specialize on splash damage so with that great ability: when the thunder is close up by its enemy the splash damage affect it self (self damage)
  6. Ricochet: The shells ricochets over walls. But it has a limited effective fire range. (The technique I use is posted below)
  7. Hammer: The newwest gun to the tanki family is not to be underestimated. This shotgun allows its user to hit several targets with one shot. Impact may flip enemies. Just like ricochet the technique is below.
  8. Shaft: This sniper is on of the greatest enemies of short range weapons. Using surroundings to our advantage is important. Staying of it's nasty sting will help you to avoid been sniped. The important thing is patience, if it got you locked down waiting for it to shoot a another target will get you enough time to go and attack it.
  9. Freeze: And finally the firebrid's greatest enemy, freeze. Has identical firing patters like the firebird. It can help tanks which is burned down by the firebird (firebird can do the opposite). Attcking from the behind is important.

My Technique....

I wonder how to begin this but I will. Here's the scoop: The thing is to staying away from the enemies turrnet. Don't get me wrong it isn't running away http://prntscr.com/5tw956 , Avoiding the enemy turrent the damage done is decreased. Works on every turrent. This technique is done by freeze uses also but firebird's massive destructing power the efficiency increases.  By avoiding the enemy turrent and rotating around the enemy will bet your enemy killed far more effectivly. this can be done to any turrnet ( in ricochet and hammer this is what I was refering to.) And another thing using 'z' and 'x' keys the quick movement of the turrnet is required and also backward driving. Few other pics:

CRIME_GUY

My  view: The new tankers should always refer guides, this is something for them to be inspired.

If you learn anything new please upvote. (since this is a contest I don't think their will be any  :P ) lol.

So this it Good luck to all tankers!

THE ULTIMATE GUIDE ON HOW TO EARN CRYSTALS

Crystal is the currency of tanki online without it we cannot buy hulls, turrets, paints, supplies, passes and upgrades. We all are earning crystals in million on a day at tanki online. We all are always searching for new ways to earn crystals.

This guide is for you bringing many ways to earn crystals.

The most easiest way to have crystals is to buy crystals:

Click on the buy button at the top of the screen when you are logged in. Buying crystals is very easy only pay a little and get a lot of crystals and then do whatever you want to do, you can buy hulls, turrets and many other thing.

It is better to buy crystals during special offers or bonus like double card. For example in Christmas a purchase of 1000 crystals will give you a bonus of 1000 crystals more and if you have a double crystal pass you can get almost thrice for the amount you have paid.

The Hardest but the most interesting way to earn crystals is to take part in competition and contest:

Time by time tanki online is announcing some new contests with huge funds and crystals in which anybody can take part and win the prizes. But it requires a lot of skills to win the prizes but still it is a lot of fun. We should be updated regularly in Issues of TO and its newspaper but before that it is announced in the TO forum so visit their regularly be the first to give an excellent reply for the quest and many other things. Hope you win and get the crystals. Contests can also be found in Facebook with same amount of prizes in it they ask some questions from or relates to TO and tanks.

Earning crystals also means saving crystals:

Earning crystals also means saving crystals so spend crystals during sales on things. The best way to spend during sale is to save money and then upgrade the hull or turret the most, on some especial days there are more than 70% of sale so spend crystals at that time and earn the crystals.

The most lucky way to earn crystals:

Every day you logged in, a new surprise awaits for us. Each rank has a certain amount of crystals which they get everyday they logged in either in the form of supplies or crystals. Like my rank is Third Lieutenant, in this rank 1700 crystals is given as daily reward. If you are lucky you will get 1700 crystals on the day or you will get supplies of 1700 crystals each day.

Time related crystals earning ways:

We get a certain amount of crystals decided for each rank up. Like if I rank up from Third Lieutenant to Second Lieutenant I get an amount of 7,900 crystals. The highest rank up reward is 37,000 crystals.

Bring your friend to TO and earn crystals:

When you send an invite to your friends and the come here, Each time they rank up we will get a certain amount of crystals{so be free your friend will rank up and you will get the crystals}. Another advantage is that if your friend will buy crystals you will get 10% of the amount isn't it great we don't have to do anything. Example, if your friend buy 20,000 crystals. You will get 2000 crystals in free.

The most exciting way of earning crystals is to play battles and collect the battle fund as crystal:

The Ultimate Guide to Freeze (In Progress)

Up_In_Flamez

"Are you tired of Tanki? Have you lost all joy for playing? Are you absolutely sick of losing CTFs by 5, 10, or 20 flags? Are you fed up with minuscule EXP and crystal making?"

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this guide is for you. Sit back, relax, and get ready for an epic tour of both the most annoying weapon (for would-be enemies) and the most exciting (for you, tanker).

Tutorial

But first, a brief history and tutorial. Freeze was originally released as a "Tier 2" weapon on July 8th, 2010--Firebird's successor. However, though Thunder (Tier 2 of Smoky) was notoriously overpowered, Freeze seemed slightly underpowered. The Developers removed Freeze for three days, working to rebalance it. They soon gave a boost to Freeze's cooldown speed. Suddenly slight damage from Freeze could instantly slash an enemy's speed in half or worse. Freeze was here to stay. (Thanks to Hogree for his Issue 15 article "In the Beginning, Tanki" Part. 3. The link is at the bottom of this article.)

In order to effectively battle with Freeze, you first must learn how to utilize it. I prefer to keep my Freeze angled 30 degrees right.

Like this:

34iofbn.jpg

That way, when I approach a target, I can flank him from the left. Then I circle quickly around him, always turning my turret (with the z and x keys), keeping him in my damage zone and ensuring he can’t retaliate.

2yum3qp.jpg

Another tactic for Freeze is to attack from tall ramps. Drive about 5-10 meters up, turn your freeze downward, and spray unsuspecting enemies in your line of fire. The slowdown effect once more keeps them in your damage zone and stops them from turning their turret and angling it upwards to hit you.

v6reqt.jpg

These tactics work against any turret. However, there are a few precautions against certain weapons.

Against mid-long range guns (Smoky, Thunder, Ricochet, Railgun, and Shaft) do NOT get caught in the open. You will become cannon fodder. Rather, hide behind buildings, steadily creeping towards enemy snipers. Also, try not to get caught from the rear. Enemies can nail you from there. If you are sure you are being followed, carefully lay a mine and trip your stalker.

Once you have mastered Freeze, you can then move on to its strengths and weaknesses.

Pros

  • Excellent damage per second, though less than it’s brother Firebird.
  • Quite inexpensive. It’s M3 cost is third lowest among all turrets and hulls (only Isida and Hornet M3 cost less).
  • Its trademark “freeze” (slowdown) effect, obviously.
  • There is no range penalty. Whether the enemy is right in front of you or the maximum range away, your turret still deals full damage.

Cons

  • The long recharge: 12 seconds to fully recharge the gun!
  • The short range: less than 20 meters.
  • Often you will see anti-freeze paints. Jaguar, Python, Rustle, and Inferno are quite common among tankers.

Now we can proceed to the actual battlefield.

The Other (Non-CTF) Game Modes

While Freezes are mostly found on CTFs, they can shine on the other modes as well.

DM

Much like Firebird, Freeze has a high DPS and an area attack. Take advantage of this to steal kills and obliterate clusters of enemies. You notice 2 tanks dueling? Rush in with a quick burst and snag two kills.

TDM

Although here killstealing is unnecessary, another of Freeze’s attributes comes into play. If an ally is burning slowing, a quick spray of ice will put out the damage, thus preventing enemy kills from afterburn. Otherwise, keep flanking those enemy tanks!

CP

On small maps with three or less Control points, Freeze shines. Simply equip double attack and wipe out the enemies near the point. Flanking is not required.

Overall, because Freeze is close range, for DM, TDM, and CP, small maps are best. Maps with 16 players or less is optimal (such as Highland, Polygon, etc.).

CTFs

This is the most entertaining, complex, and popular game mode. Here, Freeze works on any-sized map and can play a critical part in both the offense and defense.

Defense

There are two categories for defenders: "rocks" and "pursuers". Freeze plays both well. The "rock" category is self-explanatory: sit on the flag with a heavy hull such as Mammoth or Titan. However, hulls are merely half the equation. With a Freeze and Mammoth camping on the flag, you can be sure that enemies will have a hard time taking the flag and a harder time escaping with it.

But in the event that a light hull is speedily escaping your base, the defense has to switch into pursuit mode. To keep up with fast hulls, you need to use fast hulls--Hornet or Wasp will do. Once you are within striking range, press that space bar! The capturer will soon be in your Arctic grip, and you can then safely return the flag.

Offense

As in defense, there are two subsections for offense: the actual capturer and the backup. For capturing, equip Freeze with a light hull: Hornet or Wasp. Quickly spray the defenders and make a quick getaway with the flag, making sure to drop mines in case of pursuers. You could also equip a heavy hull, equip 2x defense, grab the flag, slowly steam out of the base, and use first aid when low on health.

The back-up tanker's job is to either distract or physically block the pursuers. A good hull here is one that can (somewhat) keep pace with the capturer, yet withstand enough shots to buy time for him to get away. Hunter, Viking, and Dictator are best. Again, if the goal is to slow down enemies of any kind, Freeze is the cream of the crop.

Conclusion:

Freeze+ Wasp or Hornet: Capturer, Pursuer.

Freeze + Hunter, Viking, or Dictator: Offensive Back-up

Freeze + Titan, Mammoth: Defense.

In short, Freeze is a powerhouse. It has excellent DPS and a low cost. It makes even the Wasps look like Mammoths.  It pairs well with any hull given the right circumstances. With a bit of practice, you can devastate all kinds of battles.

"Side effects of Freeze include: exhilaration, renewed joy, and abnormally large crystal and EXP amounts. Ask your Garage if Freeze is right for you!"

Guide: How to earn Crystals and use them wisely

hfjYZC.jpg

Crystals:

Crystals are the currency of the game. They help us to Buy Hulls, Turrets, Paints, Supplies, and Pass etc.  In this guide you will learn how to earn crystals and use them properly and wisely. Let’s get started.

There are several ways to earn crystals and the following will help you a lot:

1) Buying Crystals

2) Inviting Friends

3) Contests

4) Through Gold Boxes

5) Earn while you Burn   (Through Battles)

6) Rank-ups

* Buying Crystals:

Buying crystals in the game is the easiest way. There are many ways to buy cry namely

                                                    (i)Buy through Visa

(ii) Through SMS, Mobile payments paypal and others.

For buying First time you will get 1000 crystals for free.

*Inviting Friends:

Invite your friends to the game and receive crystals for the following:

(I)  for their Rank ups   and

(II) 10% of their real payments

There are three types of Invitation namely

Invite By E-mails

Send Special Links to your friends and

Place cool banners on websites or forum

Hurry. Start inviting your friend and enjoy!

*Contests:

There are lots of contests conducting by Tanki Online. If you haven’t participate yet. Just start it.

Weekly Contests:

There are two interesting contest conducting every week in the V-Logs

1.       Video of the Week – 40,000 crys (Make a video in good footage like Rankup, Hunting Goldboxes or Pakour. Be sure your vids are not more than 30 sec)

             2.   Question of the Week- 20,000.  (In this contest you need to guess the correct answer for the question and required to get the highest number of likes for your comment)

Monthly contests:

There is no better place for contests that you find in monthly newspaper

These papers contain lot of varieties of contests starting for 10,000 to 50,000cry. Make sure try to participate in every contest and give your best for them. Have fun

*Gold Boxes:

                              9N4ZoW.png

Do you feel Gold boxes are tough to hunt?

                                                       or

Do you want to get more gold?

Then, you guys are at right place. Here are some of the important tips to get gold.

(i)                  Firstly, find the gold drop point which look like thisv2jyKA.png

(ii)                Get a good hull like dictator or wasp. (It is the fastest one and can get on other tanks easily next to dictator) if you don’t have one of them don’t worry. Still chances are available. If your health level is low .suddenly after the notification self- destruct youself. If you are at gold zone. First activate double armor and use the repair kit. Seek for nearby supplies and also get two steps back.

(iii)               If you are near to the drop location activate Double Armor. Seek a higher location and if you are far away from the drop zone just try to find them, mostly you can find that a, tanker who find that zone will don’t make any moments and you can also find some tankers fighting for that location. Just move to that location quickly or use N2O

(iv)              Try your best to get that heart-pounding box. Don’t annoy anyone until they attack you. And finally it depends on your skill. All the best!.Watch Gold box capturing vids.

*Earn while you burn:

If these following doesn’t work for you. Don’t worry I am pretty sure this will work fine.

DeathMatch:

If you are a death match lover.  There is no better choice than mammoth. Mammoth the most powerful choice for DM players. It has lot of Health. Use turrets like Twins, Smoky, Thunder and Ricochet.

TeamDM:

Same like DM, here you can also use isida. It can restore your team mate’s hp. There by earning points both in the battle and in your experience

CTP(Capture the Flag):

Here you need to a bit faster. So you can capture the flags. Some of the tops are:

Offensive Tanks:-

1.       If you are playing large maps like Highways, Dusseldorf, Serpuhov etc. Have:

        Hornet, Hunter or Wasp.

Some of the good turrets are:

        Smoky, Thunder, Twins and Railgun.

2.       For Medium maps:-

Thunder, Railgun, Hammer/ Wasp, Hornet and Viking.

3.       For Small maps:-

Isida, Firebird, Freeze and Twins /Viking, Hunter, Dictator.

Defensive tanks:-

Try to defense near the Flag. Don’t move too far away from the flag.

1.       For Large Maps:

Mammoth, Viking, Titan, Dictator/ Isida, Freeze, Shaft, Rail gun.

2.       For Medium Maps:

Smoky, Freeze, Railgun/Hunter, Viking, Dictator.

3.       For Small maps:

Isida, Firebird, Freeze or Twins/Titan, Viking or Dictator.

Capture Points:

If you playing polygon CP use mammoth and twins. It is the deadliest combination for this map. Use medium range tanks.

Use your supplies wisely. Save them For Double or Triple battle funds

If you have a heavy tank like mammoth use Double Power.

If you have a medium or light tank use Double Armor or N2O.

Always seek for supplies in battles.

*Rankups:

Rank ups are like chocolates but for chocolates you need to spend money to buy them. But here you needed to earn experience points and receive crystals for your each rank. The more you rankup the higher the amount of crystals. Rank up with yours friends and record them and publish them in your youtube channels. have fun with rank ups! here is a list of cry avaliable for your rankxrVcfq.jpg

*How to Save crystals and spend them wisely:

(i) Always buy crystals when you have the double crystal card (DCC). It will twice your amount of crystals that you bought.

(ii) Buy while there is 50% discounts to PayPal, visa etc.

(iii) If you are trying to buy a Hull, Turret, paint or passes. Buy them only when the discounts are available for them.(New-year, Tanki’s  Birthday, Halloween  and Tanker’s Day are some important days which there will be available of discount)

(iv)Try to buy Kits.

(v) Upgrades:

Micro- Upgrading (MU) is best suited for M3 tanks. If you have M2 turrets or hulls, which take a long time to reach their M3 levels, there Micro-Upgrading(MU) is necessary. Micro upgrade when there is available of Discount or Free speed ups.

Guide to Firebird

Who doesn't love a good flame-thrower?  Fortunately, Tanki Online has its very own - Firebird.

Basic Idea

Firebird is a flame-thrower, no more, no less. As you spray napalm at an enemy, he takes damage. When you stop, the enemy continues to take damage because he is on fire. This effect is called ‘afterburn’ and it is what makes Firebird special.

Properly Pairing Firebird

Hulls

One may see Firebird on everything from the fastest to the slowest of hulls, but like most turrets, there are a select few that maximize its characteristics. Firebird works wonderfully with Wasp and Hunter. Some might include Hornet in that list, saying it combines the best points of both hulls while other disagree, saying it combines the worst points of both. You can’t go wrong using Hornet with Firebird but there may be better choices for you. Viking and Dictator may be used, but don’t allow most players to fully utilize the potential of Firebird except on some smaller maps. Titan and Mammoth only work well with Firebird on the smallest of maps, such as Island.

Battle Types

This turret works well for Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Control Points. It may be used for Deathmatch but opponents will steal your kills a frustratingly large amount of the time.

Playing Style

Playing with Firebird results in very fluid combat. The short range compels you to continue moving and seek out enemies. When you do, you burn them on the run, and then speed off to find more enemies, capture a point or defend the flag. Staying in one place almost never works with this turret. Continuous motion and the ability to fire on the run are the hallmarks of a Firebird player

Bottom Line: If you own a fast hull and enjoy team games Firebird will work well for you.

Buying Strategy

Firebird is available from the earliest rank, Recruit, and is fairly inexpensive at 150 crystals. The M1 modification is available at first sergeant. Unfortunately, you pay for this early unlock by having to wait through 11 ranks and 370,000 experience points before the M2 modification is liberated at  Major. Then you have to wait 8 ranks and earn 865,000 experience points before M3 becomes available when you rank-up to Commander.

Because of the large rank difference between unlocking M1 and M2 as well as M2 and M3 it is advisable to purchase and use an alternate turret. Not only does this keep you as dangerous and up-to-date as your rank allows but it diversifies your gameplay and allows you to participate in a larger number of battles. Ideally you should choose a turret with unlock ranks staggered with those of Firebird. Isida, Freeze, Thunder, Hammer and Railgun are good examples of this. Freeze and Isida are short range weapons, so they would not diversify your gameplay as much as Thunder, Hammer  or Railgun. By choosing a long or medium range weapon you also have the option of operating effectively in larger, more open maps such as Lost Temple and Kungur. That isn’t to say that a Firebirder couldn’t have fun in such maps, but long-range weapons dominate these arenas.

Tactics and Strategy

Using Firebird is very simple: point the turret in the general direction of your opponent and hold down the spacebar. When you let go of the spacebar or run out of charge, the turret will immediately start reloading. However, reloading takes a very long time. Firebird has a very limited range which means you must be fairly close to your opponent before firing or he will not be harmed.

There are many more nuances to using this flame-thrower than may first appear. To begin with, Firebird only has five seconds of charge. This may seem like a lot if you only have one opponent, but when it disappears soon enough when you have many. To get around this handicap one may take advantage of the afterburn effect of firebird in several different ways.

Peek-a-Boo Style A

The first method is the peek-a-boo tactic: pop out from cover and spray your adversary. Caution! If you don’t burn your opponent long enough he will either not be set alight or will only burn for a short while. Now, avoid him for as long as reasonably possible. Make sure you begin fleeing as soon as possible. In doing so, you are safe and your Firebird is reloading while your opponent takes damage. Fast hulls are ideal for this tactic.

Peek-a-Boo Style B

Style B is identical to Style A in the first stages; peek around a corner and set your opponent on fire.

Now, instead of running, you must hustle back around the corner and intimidate your opponent through a show of force to keep him from coming around the corner and attacking you. A series of short “puffs” will usually do the trick. This is a sort of bluff. Use this strategy only if you are slower than your opponent and one or more of the following apply: 1) You are nearly out of fuel 2) opponent has a Freeze (this turret slows you down) and is close enough to use it 3) you do not believe you can kill your opponent with your remaining charge because he is well protected.  This tactic has several drawbacks, namely: you use some of your precious charge, and it will not scare off all opponents. Use it sparingly. The peek-a-boo tactic also works well on ramps.

Drive By

The second method of utilizing Firebird’s afterburn is only useful with a fast hull, such as Wasp or Hornet. Speed along spraying everyone nearby. Try to spray them just long enough to set them on fire, then move on to the next opponent. It is imperative that you are gone by the time they realize what just happened.

Often times varying combinations of the Drive By and the Peek-a-Boo tactics work the best. Strategy is very much dependent on the situation.

Dealing With Multi-Leveled Maps

When you are a level above or below an opponent, rock your tank back or forth to aim your turret slightly up or down. Rock your tank by driving in one direction then suddenly change direction. This will tilt your hull allowing you to vertically aim your turret for a short period of time. Much practice is required before this technique becomes effective. Spraying an opponent in this way may not destroy him, but it often will set them alight; giving you a slight advantage when you meet them face to face.

Another way to vertically aim your turret is to make use of inclined surfaces. If your foe is above you, drive the front of your hull onto the bottom of the ramp. Vary how far you drive up the ramp to adjust the vertical aim of Firebird. Opponents catch on to this trick very quickly and will back away, so you must be able to aim quickly before this tactic becomes effective.

At certain points in certain maps you may attack enemies below you by placing your tank completely on a ramp. Places this work are few and specific so if you find one, remember it!

Dealing With Multiple Enemies

A handy characteristic of Firebird is its 5 degree firing angle. Also useful is Firebird’s ability to damage opponents through other tanks.

Advanced Tactics

When you have mastered the previous tactics try adding some of these to your skillset:

  • Circle strafing - circle opponent to avoid his turret while burning him; works best with wasp or hornet

  • Corpse shield - use the corpse of a destroyed tank as a temporary shield

  • Surprise! - use the bright flame of your Firebird to surprise railguns and shafts lying in wait, often they will shoot, giving you plenty of time to attack them

You will never be a great Firebirder if you don’t enjoy burning opponents to a crisp. So whatever you do, make sure you follow this one, final tactic:

Have fun!

SOS I tried to add an image, and it says you are not allowed to use this extension? What does this mean?

I had that problem too. Apparently the forum won't allow pictures unless they are input through a photo hosting site. I used PhotoBucket. If you use PhotoBucket, copy the link next to the photo that says "direct". Click the small green photo on the top of the thing you type in to reply to a forum. Paste the link from PhotoBucket there.

I figured this out through trial and error. Hope this helps!

Crystals;How to earn them

Crystals are the in-game virtual currency in Tanki Online. Crystals can be used to buy things from the garage.

1359196.jpg

Crystals can be earned and received in many different ways:

Earning Crystals

Capture The Flag (CTF):

You can get more or less crystals depending on how good your score is. BUT, if one team captures the flag at least once, and the other team doesn't capture the flag at all (by the time the game ends), then the losing team usually does not receive any crystals. That being said, you also need to know the battle fund. High battle funds will lead to more crystal for players.

Deathmatch (DM):

It is almost guaranteed that you can get crytals in deathmatch. As long as you get a few kills, you can get some crystals. The amount of crystals you get depends on how good your kill:losses ratio. The more kills you have, the more crystals you get. That being said, you also need to know the battle fund. High battle funds will lead to more crystals for players.

Team Deathmatch (TDM):

Again, you can easily get crystals (may not that much) if you get a few kills. It's pretty much the same thing as Deathmatch except the amount of crystals depends on your score. Again, you also need to know the battle fund. High battle funds will lead to more crystals for more tanks.

Control Points (CP):

Basically the same way to get crystals as CTF.But as we all know, you need to control some special points on the map. These 'points' start getting filled as you come near them.

Gold Box

They are uncommon, and they give you normally 1,000 crystals. Before, the boxes drop randomly at any time, but now there is a sign at the top of the screen just 1 minute before when it appears: (Gold box will be dropped soon). Even more, previously, the Gold Box was worth only 100 crystals. This was changed after the Rebalance.

Also, on special occasions, gold box sometimes have increased values like 2,000, or even 3,000 crystals.

150px-Gold.png

On average there are about 5 dropspots for a large map, and 3 spots for a smaller map for crystal boxes. A really large map (like Berlin) gets up to 8 dropspots.

Goldbox is believed to stay for 30 minutes, however so far nobody could resist the temptation to test that out. The calculation on what triggers a goldbox is not known yet. Some say the battle fund need to reach till 1000 to trigger the gold box. It is seen to fall more then once per gameround.  The more players, the higher the chance of a gold box dropping.

Daily Reward/Bonus/Gift

You can get crystals occasionaly when you recieve your Daily Gift. The amount you get depends on how high

In-game Purchasing

Crystals can be bought from using your credit card. The amount of crystals you get depends on how much you pay. The lowest amount of crystals you can buy is 14 for 0.01 USD. You get 1000 crystals free for your first purchase.

Friend Invitation

You can get crystals for inviting a friend(Referral). You get crystals for inviting a friend to the game via link, email, and banner code. You get crystals for each of their rank and you get 10 percent of their real payments, so say that your friend buys 500,000, you get 50,000 free.

Ranking-Up

Now, when you rank up you get crystals too. This took effect when Update 208 was released. For example if you rank up to Second Lieutenant they will give you 7 900 crystals. Of course, you will have to play and earn those crystals. Here's a chart to show how much you earn each time you rank-up.

Tanki Online Contests

Tanki Online Contests is undoubtedly the least expensive way to get a LARGE amount of crystals. There many different contests throughtout the year. Contests gives you a lot of crystals, but only when you give back quality. Not only that, contests can even give Real-Life prizes, such as an electronic device, free Tanki shirts and mugs, and all sorts of things.

For example, the recently took placed 'Tanki Online Postcard Contest'

To participate, tankers needed to create a New Year postcard for Tanki using any method they wished. They could draw it or use a graphic software. There could be any number of winners.

Each of them would get 50 000 crystals and a special New Year paint with protections for the period of New Year celebrations in Tanki — from December 24 till January 12

A guide in XP in Sandbox for newbs!

aSlFcJV.jpg

[XP] Xophet Penca - Hornet Railgun

Its format is usually presented like this:

Kokpplg.png

A specific combo which requires tons of pure skill and is an official format in the game. There has been many updates making the game-play more extreme and difficult and FUN! Many players use this as an opportunity to gain skill or enjoy the fun of a fair-play game. It has many techniques and key skills, and here they are:

Peek-A-Boo

ZYkH30M.jpg

This technique is probably the most used technique as its ability is fair and very easy to use. Despite its fairness of skill, it is a quick counter damage for the oppositions health. Its name gives away how to use the technique, you Peek then you BOO (shoot). It is also a very good camping ability and all campers must learn it to become a skillful camper. Also, you may have to be careful and must chose how much of your tank to stick out - they may shoot and flip you or may knock your aim off.

Precision Side Shot

KMGcjbU.jpg

This technique requires a tremendous amount of attention and patience; with a huge amount of accuracy. This is not commonly used but is deadly when used and may kill multiple if multiple tanks are stacked sideways. To be able to successfully commit the shot you must know your surroundings; have a beady eye looking at the corners for any shadow to slip past. Like most shots this is easily do able if: you move your tank slightly up and shoot then slightly down so it does a straight diagonally shot.

Acc-Long Shots

TBUa9an.jpg

This technique requires patience and accuracy - you must redeem its balance or it will fail. You must have a clear view and be in earshot to shoot. There is an nearly a twin shot to this - actually a mirror shot.

rEULlOH.jpg

You have a lot of chances for these shots, as many players are not aware of players around them could be able to shoot from a very far distance. To be able to do these shots: you must move back, in this short period shoot, then up, and boom the shot comes out.

Point-Blank Under Shot

nkr1ywK.jpg

Ah! Happy days when this technique was being used. A very easy shot for those who have a great pint of skill - you have to be obliged to the offense the see these shots or commit these shots. You must move up then at the last second down and the shot would be straight to the tip of the tank. It is best to do this shot if there is no defenders nearby or in earshot.

Accuracy

kpTtgLf.jpg

Hitting the very edge of the tip of the tank.

Accuracy is the key for all shots and all victories of battles which require long shot turrets. To be able to get the best out of accuracy you must obtain patience. You must time every shot equally unless you think you can do those mad-chance shots successfully - like those 360 degree shots. It is best to stick to the most certainty shots as they will bring the enemy down.

Defense in Sandy

pdcfa1V.jpg

Camping is the Main Defense strategy, the one which eliminates the opponents, which will lead your team to not allow the enemy to get a single flag.

Offense in Sandy

QPnI8jL.jpg

All attack routes also apply for both teams as this map is a complete mirror image. With the defense playing simultaneously with the offense - the team has a strong build and with strong builds you do not require a huge amount of skill.

A Guide to Hammer:

Hammer was recently introduced about a month ago. I would like to make a guide for players who haven’t tried it yet, for those who have it, but are struggling with it, and for those who want to make themselves better.

Step 1: Which hull you should choose

Wasp: I do not recommend this because wasp has low health and the recoil from hammer might cause you to flip over. However, for those of you that want speed in CTF modes for example, you can pair with it in maps like Sandbox, as 3 shots should be enough to take the flag and go back to capture it.

Rate: 4/10

Hornet: Pairing hammer with hornet is actually not bad, as hornet is stable enough to take the recoil. Its speed also allows it to escape from enemies and to fire 3 quick shots. It has good health and this is definitely a good combo in small map capture the flag.

Rate: 7/10

Hunter: Hunter is a very balanced hull. It is not too fast and also has average protection. Personally, I do not think pairing it with hammer is good because hunter is too much of an average hull. It isn’t that good for attacking in CTF, and there are better hulls to choose if you want to defend. There are better hulls in DM, TDM, and CP like Viking and Dictator.

Rate: 5/10

Viking: This is a very good combo as this hull is very stable and can take the recoil. It also has decent protection and is good for attacking in CTF. This combo is also good because it can be used in DM, TDM, and CP modes. The stability and protection allow hammer to be effective with it.

Rate: 8/10

Dictator: Personally, I think this is the best combo out there because of the new auto aim update. Hammer has a high impact force and since pairing it with dictator will allow it to automatically aim for the turret, you can easily cause the enemy to miss or flip over. Dictator has slightly better protection than Viking and paired with the high damage of hammer will make this lethal. This combo is definitely good in DM, TDM, and CP modes, but not CTF because it is too slow.

Rate: 9/10

Titan: I do not recommend this because even though titan is very stable and has high health, it is too slow and once you use up all the shots of hammer, the reloading will feel like forever. In addition, you might also not be able to reach certain targets because you are too slow and the enemy is too far. It could be good in DM, but you can only stay in one spot and hammer will quickly run out of shots.

Rate: 4.5/10

Mammoth: I also do not recommend this because of reasons similar to Titan. It is too slow, and while it may have more protection than Titan, you will feel like you have no more shots from hammer because the reload time is slow. It might be slightly better in DM than with Titan, but there are better combos out there than this.

Rate: 4.5/10

Winner: Dictator + Hammer

This combo is lethal and you can easily cause tanks to miss or to flip over. The overall good protection from dictator and decent speed, along with hammer’s high damage and impact force will allow you to rule the game.

Step 2: Hammer against All Turrets

Against Firebird: Depending on if you have a slower hull or not, you should handle this differently. Most times, people that have firebird will pair it with a hull like Hornet or Viking. This means that you will most likely be slower than the opponent. The trick is to quickly fire 3 shots and to MAKE sure you hit the opponent. Most times, you will already have killed the opponent by now if you both have the same modifications. However if for example, you have m1 Hammer and the opponent has m2 Hornet, you should quickly fire the shots and backup. Like with all short range weapons continue to back up and wait until you can shoot again.

Against Freeze: The tactics for freeze are very similar to against firebird. However, if the freeze touches you and you start to slow down, try your best to move sideways, and give yourself that extra second to take one more shot and the enemy. If you are successful at this, then you should be able to kill your opponent.

Against Isida: When playing against isida, constantly back up and shoot. If the isida catches you, circle around isida, to try to cause it to miss. Rotate your turret while driving, and you should be able to kill the isida.

Against Smoky: Try to use the impact force of hammer and time your shots so that you will cause smoky to miss. If you use a hull like dictator, it will be strong enough to outlast smoky. You should have no problems against smoky.

Against Thunder: Go towards thunder and try to be as close as you can because the splash damage will cause damage to the enemy themselves. As with when you’re playing against smoky, try to time your shots, so you cause the opponent to miss.

Against Railgun: When you play against railgun, it is very similar as playing against smoky and thunder. Try to time your shots so you cause the railgun to miss. Since railgun takes a long time to reload, if you cause the opponent to miss once, then you should kill the opponent in no time.

Against Shaft: Most times, you will not be close enough to shaft. However, if you are close to it, then all you have to do is to attack from the side or behind, and to make sure you always go away from the laser of shaft.

Against Twins: When playing against twins, it is a very tricky task. This is because twins has an unlimited firing duration. The trick is to drive and rotate your turret and to use the high damage from hammer to kill the opponent. However, since twins has low damage, you should be able to kill the opponent with twins before the opponent kills you.

Against Ricochet: When playing against ricochet, the tactics are very similar to twins. However, since ricochet is difficult to control, you should time your shots to cause the opponent to miss. If you do this, then you should easily be able to kill ricochet.

Against Hammer: You should fire the shots first because it will you can knock the opponent off balance and cause him or her to miss. By timing your shots and causing your opponent to miss, you should get away with little damage and your opponent destroyed.

Hammer is relatively effective against all turrets if you play it right. However, it could struggle against short range weapons, so I would recommend getting paints that protect against, firebird, freeze, and isida. Paints that are designed for this are Storm, Inferno, Zeus, and Electra.

Step 3: Utilizing Hammer Itself

Now that you know which hull to pair it with and how to battle it against other turrets, you should learn how to use it. You should use the impact force of hammer to your advantage by timing when your opponent will take the shot and to cause the opponent to miss. If hammer is fully loaded, then you should be able to kill most opponents. However, against the three strongest hulls, dictator, titan, and mammoth, it will take more than 3 shots to kill them. Against opponents with these hulls, you should back up or go away from the opponent until you are fully charged again. Then, you should go and attack and kill your opponent.

Conclusion: Hammer is a very good weapon and it will be much more effective if you play with another person with hammer because you will be able to quickly kill your opponent. If you follow my guide, then you should be able to use hammer at its full potential and dominate the game. I wish you all good luck with hammer.

Further Information: If this guide is still not enough for you, you should watch youtube videos and gameplays of hammer and see what works and what doesn’t. Then, use your new skills from my guide and combine it with the ones in videos you see, and you will definitely dominate and rule Tanki Online.

Hunter

Hunter does what its name says, it hunts! To many people, it is regarded as the best all-around hull in the game. With it having quite a bit of health, it makes it an ideal choice for most turrets to be used. Some of which you might not have even thought about using with Hunter. So without further ado let’s begin.

Pros and Cons

Pros

-Very Stable Hull

-3rd Fastest Hull in the Game (Fastest Medium Hull)

-Decent Health (Only 7.6 less HP than Viking which has less speed!)

-Good in Medium and Long Range Maps (Can be compared to a mammoth in Larger Maps like Kungur)

- Offensive and Defensive Hull

- Good with all Turrets

-Good in Capture the Flag, Control Points and Team Deathmatch

- M0 is free

Cons

-Can be pushed around by all Medium and Heavy Hulls

- Not good for Deathmatch (Solo)

- M3 Unlocks Late

Turret Combinations

Twins- The fastest turret in the gaming shooting approximately 3 shots per second! Now add that to a fast hull that has some armour and you are looking at a lethal weapon that is hard to hit (If you are hitting your shots) that can potentially steal flags in big or large. Also it is very good for Deathmatches as you can get into your enemies base fast and destroy other tanks quickly! What is there not to like about this combo? Rating 9.5/10

Isida- With Hunter’s speed along with its armour this combo almost makes it impossible for you to die as an attacker. As a defender it helps to have a little more health, this allows other defenders to stay alive for a longer period of time which allows them to destroy the other tanks. This will allow you to respawn and heal your teammates as well as go on the offensive! You can either help in Team Deathmatch or  Capture the Flag. This combination really has no bad sides to it and is one of the best kept secrets in the game!  Rating 9.7/10

Railgun- Not the greatest of combos unless in a long range map like Kungur. It can be used in Medium maps for camping but you will only be hurting your own team. This combo is mainly used for Esports stuff and in there you will find it effective! With Hunters good speed and armour, it is easily known as the best hull for light format battles that Esports hosts. By using paints such as Savanna or Prodigi, it become 3 or 4 shots which really helps you when on defense or even on attack. Rating 8/10

Ricochet- With the great speed of Hunter you are able to close in on your opponents fast, as well as use your full ammunition clip at once. This allows you to destroy tanks at a rapid rate like twins does.  It is great to mount on a hunter due to its stability. It doesn’t recoil too much on the hull unlike on hornet and wasp. This combination can be used for almost all map types and can be very effective at times! It is a lethal offensive weapon and good defense. Rating 9/10

Hammer- Although it is new to the game, it gives perfect stability to hammer which has big recoil shot. The bounce back on hammer is almost unnoticeable to someone using Hunter due to its weight and mobility, it allows for a lot of sneak attacks which therefore allows you to rack up the kills! Good for medium to large maps. Offensive and defensive weapon Rating 8.5/10

Firebird- With the armour and speed of Hunter you can close in on your enemy fast with a lot of health still where you can than unleash your full wrath! This is best in Medium or small Maps and if used correctly can become lethal. Mainly for defense. Rating 8.7/10

Shaft- Not usually seen in the game but it still is an okay combo which can get kills easy. It gives you mobility to run from enemies that are close to you. It also allows you to go from place to place faster so that you can find more enemy tanks to destroy. Use for long range maps never for medium or small. It is mainly for defending and maybe some offense while your teammate has the flag. Rating 8/10

Smoky – Smoky needs to close in on an enemy fast to deal more damage but doesn’t want to die. Well Hunter can help with that. With its unique armour and speed you can attack or defend. This will allow you to get more points in game as well as destroy tanks at crucial moments. Good in all ranges of maps. Rating 9/10

Freeze- With the armour and speed of Hunter you can close in on your enemy fast with a lot of health still where you can than unleash your full wrath! This is best in Medium or small Maps. Not really too good in a lot of maps but mainly medium ones will be best Rating 7.5/10

Thunder – Not commonly seen but it does do some damage. With the Hunters armour and speed you can get away from players that want you to self-destruct while dealing loads of damage. It is an ideal combo for medium and long range maps where you are defending! Rating 7.8/10

Capture the Flag

When playing capture the flag with Hunter the best idea is to always travel in straight lines to utilize its maximum speed. If you have to turn than do so or else try to stay in a straight line (Note: only swerve to dodge a shot) Now always be looking around for teammates before you take the enemies flag so that than you can move towards them in order to have the highest chance of getting out of the base remember to utilize Hunter’s speed as well as its armour which comes in handy at this time to get into your base. Once you are in your base you should capture or give the flag to a teammate.  :)

Team Death Match/ Control Points

Simply feed off of your teammates try to use a combo that you can deal a ton of damage which will therefore open options up for your team. By using Hunter you can get to the enemy fast which will therefore enable you to deal damage to the enemy but with the armour of hunter you can sit there and possibly make all the enemies quarter health. (Depending on their weapon, paint and hull) This again opens options for your team and enables you to have a better game as well as a better chance to win the game.

So in all Hunter has more pros than cons, can be used with any turret and can be used in almost all map types.
