This is the moment for devs to create an XP mode or like semyon said, organize separate servers... This update without titles harms mostly the XP battles, it's a bit impossible for us moderate that battles atm.

Couldn 't agree more.

 

Positive: I do like the clean battle list itself and also the narrowing of the rank limits: maybe that can/will lead to more balanced battles.

 

(see edit nr2) Negative: don 't have a Pro Battle pass, but as I understand it you can 't even recognize/identify

an XP/BP battle right now.

That is just lame.

XP was already ruined for myself, because I am fed up with all the rule breakers and ruined battles.

The latter will not change as long as it is an unofficial gamemode, and by the looks of it: it will be for a long time, or even worse, does it ever become an official gamemode?

 

And why private battles had to be removed is also a mistery to me. What was wrong with them in the first place?

Ok, the Pro Battle pass needs to have more options I get that: but this is simply needless overacting IMO.

Only good thing: now I really don 't have a reason to get a Pro Battle pass anymore, so thanks TO!? :unsure:

 

Mixed feelings about this update as it is now and a clear downvote regarding

how a possible gem like XP/BP is being treated right now.

This leaves the Private battles. Parkour, rank ups etc. just keep them possible without a Pro Battle pass plz.

This is why we made this topic and there is a poll. We are collecting your feedback, and have proven several times that we are reacting to it with actions. So, continue sharing your thoughts and ideas.

We only ask things that matter. This, however, doesn't mean we always do exactly as the community wants. It is a matter of balance between what the community wants and what needs to be done to keep the game balanced and interesting for newcomers. This means your feedback always matters and is analyzed, and it affects the decision, but it doesn't always determine the decision.

Here is constructive feedback.

 

CONS 

 

1. Why reduce rank limit? Now i can't create battles with gens... I cannot invite gens to my rank up (2k exp more). NOt to mention, I can't play with my real life friend anymore, who is a WO2. Rank limit was never a problem. All people had to do was search for a suitable battle manually, and still have the choice of challenging themselves by playing with higher ranked people or choosing a battle where everyone has the same rank. The solution to any perceived problem definitely is NOT to limit battles ranks without even giving people a choice to expand that rank limit.

 

2. The fact that private battles need pro pass to enter is ridiculous. This means anyone with close friends in TO is basically forced to buy the pro pass, which costs a bomb for the lower ranks, especially since the crystal box drops have been removed! In the past, most of the people who bought pro passes were XP players. Now, even people who like private battles (parkour, rank ups, duels, etc) now have to purchase the pass, even if they previously did not have the need to.

 

3.Battle names were unique and nice, giving a very personalised and player oriented gaming interface. With the removal of the battle names, not only are players now unable to specify battle format (XP/ rank up/ tournament etc ), it makes TO more mechanical in a way and removes that sense of nostalgia and all other sorts of emotional connections. 

 

4. The choice selection of which game mode of battles have been removed. The ones at the bottom left corner of the middle column containing all the battles. This, if intended to make the lobby seem more compact or user friendly has achieved the opposite effect as players now have to manually search through all the battles, instead of just the battle game modes he/she intends to play.

 

5. I noticed that  you cannot view battles out of your rank limit unless the link is in the chat or a friend is in it. This is a bad move, although not really significant. Some people like viewing battles just for fun so this is not really a major drawback. The absence of such battles give the false impression that a server is empty. This however, is not a main issue and is based soley on preference so I am not particularly against it.

 

PROS

 

On the other hand

 

1. The lobby is much more organised

 

2. Important details of a battle such as time and map are now displayed clearly where the battle names originally were. This makes deducing if a match is suitable much easier.

 

Conclusion.

 

With the removal of battle names, devs need to implement a separate server where battle names are allowed or only XP is allowed ASAP because the battle configurations under "PRO" battles have limited options and do not offer modes like "RankUp" or "Parkour" or "XP" or "Wasp Fire" for example.

Hello all ....

I can understand the changes to the Battle List, it makes it more organized in many ways. However, my objections to this 'update' as follows:

 

1. Battle List - by removing battles that are not 'in range of our rank', we can no longer watch lower-ranked friends in battles. I have MANY lower-ranking friends, being only roughly halfway up the rank scale. Was this necessary, to remove these listings?

 

2. Naming of Battles - you state this has been removed for 'inappropriate' naming capabilities, helping keep profanity out - yet the chat lobbies are as full of cursing and bad behavior as ever.  Minor change that does nothing to fix a major issue. 

More mod coverage is desperately needed. I have yet to see the 'education' of players take place (as we were told), and I'm here every day.

 

How about perm blocking of 'Joker_AssassinXXX' - he is a constant irritant, and keeps busy servers covered in profanity.  :angry: 

 

How about filtering registration playernames? I see profane playernames every day. :unsure: 

 

3. Pro Pass changes - no more 1 day pass for 500, everyone must buy 1 MONTH pass for 5000 - or no private battles - forcing younger players, lower rankers to 'get mommy' to buy crystals. So much for 'friends-only' battles without trolls etc. jumping in ... No more ranking up parties, no more clan practices ...I know Tanki is a business - but really?  :(

3 things are bad

 

1. battle name

     be able to name the battle, like "Clan AK vs Clan BoB", or "wild's rankup party"

2. private battle

     I dont want my friend to pay to enter my private rankup party.

3. show Low rank friends' battle that in list

     so I can watch how they perform in battle and cheer up with them later.

 

 

At least give us following option:

 

1. battle name, I understand there is no space in the battle mode info bar to make it,

    so at least make it shown in right side panel

    or make private battle showing names, and no info bar

 

2. make a 1 entry only ticket for 100 crystal,

    or 5 entry only ticket for 300 crystal

    or 1 day pass for 500 crystal

    or 1 week pass for 1k

    or 1 month pass for 3k

 so less than right now 5k pass.

since you are promoting pro pass, more people will buy, so big purchase group means cheaper.

 

3. make show low rank friend as well as a option

Well I did enjoy playing in private clan battles, now it will be interesting to see how the non Starladder battles go.  Bring back free private battles!

 

Edit: The poll should have allowed for multiple answers to "Do you play private battles" So I could have answered; Yes with my friends and Yes to train with my team.

Bring back the battle mode filter buttons, yes its nice to have them grouped together, but I dont want to see some battle types. Not to mention i have to scroll farther down to reach other battle modes

 

EX: I want to see CTF and TDM only, not CP and DM

 

You could also let us move around the order of the battle modes by moving around their buttons

 

Also it seems to me that when you create a battle at gerneralissmo you get a much wider range of ranks that can take part in that battle.
