It’s back! There seems to be a lot of stuff coming back these months, so why should this amazing contest be left out? Goldy has generously agreed to let me take up and continue the series.

For those of you who have never heard of this, the task is simple. Describe a given picture in 100 words! Obviously it doesn't have to be exactly 100 words, around it is okay. You can write whatever and however you want, but your entry must describe the picture in some way.

Prizes:

1st place: 30 000 crystals

2nd place: 20 000 crystals

3rd place: 10 000 crystals

Consolation prizes of 5000 crystals will be given to those who deserve it :)

So, without further delay, here is the picture:

04.jpg

Entries will be accepted until January 22nd. Winners will be announced next issue!

Only one entry per player

Good luck, and remember, have fun!

[Note: Apparently, no sign of capturing was shown in the picture. So, I decided not to include that part.]

My Memoirs......

I remember it all. It was perhaps the year of 1984 or 1992, whatever. The Thunder had been I. In a victory phase. Glancing at my quarters for enemies.  I see none, however. In the hope of regaining my title as the best Thunderer ever in  Tanki, a bet I undertook, I'd recall. Exposing perhaps a quarter of my Tank a bit,  I'd materialized through the ramp at the top of my velocity.  Out of the blue, a golden-lining had crossed and nearly decked me. I was taken aback, that blow would have surely ended my winning streak. But not that all.....Ah yes, the map was Kungur, it was, apparently, from the picture I recall a "CTF" (Capture The Flag)......

THE WASP/RAILGUN

From the moment my shot went off-target, I knew I was in trouble.

It had been a calm day....... we had just been setting the finishing touches to our base, when, without any warning, the Hornet/Thunder came and snatched our flag and sped off towards his.

'Who set the proximity trigger?' I shouted. 'It's defective!'

By now, a few tanks had been wakened by my cry but were still groggily shaking out of their stupor.

'Gods help me', I muttered, and sped off in pursuit.

I travelled the length of the bridge. 'Too well guarded.' I thought. A Viking/Ricochet on patrol and two Hornet/Freezes on the border.

'I'm a foolish soldier,' I thought.

I fired a shot.

It missed.

'Just my luck', I thought and passed out.

The other team won.

Clouds. White gems garnishing the rich, blue velvet of the sky. Heralds of a fine, new day, on which nothing should ever be contrary again.

A lie.

A vicious battle is taking place under the apathetic sky, two sides engaged in a mortal struggle for the upper hand. For a while, it seemed that stalemate had settled in. Now cracks have arisen in the armour of group, a chink that the other quickly exploited.

Yet in their haste to take advantage of the lapse, they too, had left a noticeable weakness. The enemy had a literal last shot - which, if successful, could turn the tables. A good chance; on the enemies' side was the most vaunted of all on the battlefield. A dead shot, never known to miss. Yet...

He failed.

The tranquil day and iridescent scene proves a mockery of the unseen carnage that is present in the killing fields. A dangerous game it is that they play. With rewards come risks...

With failure comes death.

The enemy requires one more flag to capture; my team has given up. My immense determination is revealed as I speed across a bridge. The flag-carrying Hornet proceeds over a hill as the scorching tip of my Railgun progressively glows with a yellow gleam.

I brace myself, anticipating an explosion.

Suddenly, all of my hope is quickly drained from within me as I perceive the beam of my Railgun inches away from the Hornet, ceasing to strike and destroy it.

I decelerate, watching the enemies cheer and celebrate. As I close my eyes, I faintly grin;

'Twas a good fight.

Yes! I'm about to cap this flag. This will definitely lengthen the gap between me and 2nd. Those two shafts far off near the sign weren't able to hit me. They had awful aim. Oh well, they don't matter now. I was being followed by that one guy but I'm pretty sure my freeze buddy has got that covered. Hey, 4 of my teammates are at the base. Yup looks like this flags in the bag. Oh shoot there's that wasp rail guy. Whew he just missed me. If I were here a second earlier, I would be a goner.

"PICASSO MADE THE DAY"

GZSqnOj.png

On a summer vacation, tanks were battling with each other in a dry kungur. That battle was on fire, battle score was 0-. None of the team had captured a single flag and only 2 minutes left. Both teams couldn't had attack or defend because of sneaky railguns that were camping.  Those railguns had either flipped by shooting enemy turret or killed whoever took their beautiful flag. While blue teams's railguns was killing red team's player by using the "Peek-A-Boo" tactic, a red team's player had gone to blue team's base and was just waiting for the moment when all the railguns will be reloading. Finally, they all were reloading. That Picasso said to himself  "O yes, this is the right moment to take the flag" . As he was thinking and taking the flag. Somehow, a railgun had reloaded and aimed directly to that Picasso. An enemy viking saw him and started to follow him, Picasso didn't even realized that someone was following him. It was the right moment for the viking to shoot and kill him, but it failed, a red team's hornet freeze blocked and took the shot to himself. That hornet was proud that he let himself get destroyed to save his teammate. But that was not still it, an enemy wasp had  came to base. Poor unlucky wasp, it was close but he missed that shot. And for the enemy railguns who were in the enemy base were looking for that Picasso. They were saying to themselves  "O god, help us find that Picasso". But it was too late.. Only 3 seconds left for the game to end. Could the Picasso make it? Or no ?. Some of the religious tanks of red team were praying to god "O god, please let us win! let us capture it! " God had listened to it. Picasso had captured the enemy flag and thanked to that freeze and all of his teammates for defending good. That Picasso made the day !

I am abruptly placed into a battle. Thunder, Hornet.

This combination is the deadliest of all. I quickly activate my double armor and nitro, speeding off. Light as air.

I feel as if I am watching myself. Snatching the flag, passing the pestilential resistance.

What a foolish opponent.

But, one thing troubles me. I never achieve triumph, it is not in my blood, not in my veins to do so. A railgun pokes out his head to say hello.

I know I am finished, I say a prayer. I open my eyes. What? I have the flag!

Godmode_ON have granted me power and wisdom! The railgun blunders and I captu.......

A Fatal error has occurred.
Return to battle.

Accept it please, its a little over 100 :D

The immense battle is going, we are sure we will win when we see a hurricane of Thunder+ Rail gun carrying flag and jumping like a frog *cough*. Wait what is there! A wasp with railgun!! But how did it pass the two freezes??? We hope S/he haven't saw the rail gunner hidden in bushes but what! He is reloading. Attacker fires the yellow beam and looks like flag carrier has been toasted, but wait he missed!!!!! And........ Hip Hip Hurray!!! We Win......At least until next battle:)

We just about finished laying mines when, A hornet + Thunder comes by,nothing stopping him, We just about slowed him down, giving me a chance to get over the bridge and nip him with my mighty mued Railgun n' Wasp. Was this it? Was it over for out team? My team mates could not dare to watch, As he neared the ramp it was my time to shine,to assassinate him, me concentrating with no distractions,Besides the fund of course. I pressed my space bar down with all my might,No, how could this be? My skills proved unworthy versus him,My shot missed, How?  My team mates were bent out of shape with me. I'm a disappointment,to myself and my team mates, They complained all through the next round about the fund and my shot missing, I groaned and sulked, then I decided to leave this dreadful place of insults. I said to my self " 3 hours of playing just to loose? Nonsense, Ok, Calm down, Its just a game, I'll win loads more tomorrow"

Still accepted? Way more than 100 words?

Boy did that feel great writing that, my anger seemed to fade, strange :/

The tarmac ground to a fine powder beneath my churning tracks as I sped recklessly across the bridge.

I only had one objective, one goal and one flag to save. Even time slowed as lightning prepared to strike thunder down with its mighty glow.

Despair pervaded my mind as the bolt of energy whizzed mere millimeters wide of its target. The end was near. Hope had forsaken me. I was but a lone, spent force, dashing straight into the heart of the heavily fortified enemy base armed with vicious Vikings.

Picasso would have been proud of his masterpiece as the hornet made one last triumphant leap, bringing the two flags just inches apart. I on the other hand, the chosen one, the prodigi, had failed miserably. I closed my eyes in despair, my wasp grinding to a halt, a moment frozen in time.

An event to remember

'This was it..... the final flag.....' I thought as I made my way to the base. The thought of capturing the last flag for my team gave me the extra zest I needed. Using all my energy I rushed towards my flag. I looked back and saw my fellow adversaries rushing towards me. Perhaps they knew how important this was ? I didn't have time to think. My flag was now in sight.....but I was slowing down.... slowing giving up when i saw even more enemies in front of me. My foes were gaining on me and I just wanted to save myself the embarrassment and give them what they wanted. I heard a few blasts behind me,which prompted me to look back. After what seemed like forever I saw my companions. Today, I reckon myself to be lucky, for they took care of our enemies. I was only a few metres away from my flag. I heard a railgun shot . It missed, but only by a few inches . I shrugged it off and captured their flag. 'I did it' i thought and a warm feeling came over me.

The Day I Quit Tanki

My despair was pronounced as I got killed and my whole minefield burst into ashes. I was frustrated at myself, for making the big mistake of challenging my luck by fight a thunder one on one.

But all was not lost…. yet. I still had time, and so did the enemy. I kicked my gears into motion and raced past at supersonic speed. The thunder had seized the chance of no mines or defense and had taken the flag, where hornet’s speed provided useful safety against campers. He was just onto the flag, and I shot my best bullet at him……… and missed. We lost, and the enemy jeered at us while I got a puny amount of battle fund crystals.

And...... I QUIT TANKI !!!!!!!!

An intense battle in going on in kungur. Both red and blue team are fighting furiously to win. with making some effort Red team's Hornet/Thunder has got the blue team's flag, he is near on capturing the flag but a Wasp/Rail of Blue team comes out of nowhere and shoot and misses! On the other side Thunder/Viking and Rico/Viking are er..maybe waiting for gold, like a statue without any movement. On the other Far side a freeze is shooting in air, maybe he is feeling hot. On the far side of the map we can see 2 tank doing Parkour.

Mine is 20 over 100 words. Same here, although anger wasn't the reason, a bit of the stress, m8. :)

Thanks, Kev.

  • For letting it be over 100.
  • For bringing back  this contest.
  • Very refreshing.

It was a 60 flag game, I was a Thunder+hornet, the timer was 0:8 less than 10 seconds. I saw a teammate with Thunder+viking defending the base,  All of a sudden I saw a glimpse of a railgun+wasp, My heart was pounding as if a Goldbox worth 10 000 crystals fell, My teammate who had Ricochet+viking with prodigy who had seen the railgun+wasp saw that he was about to shoot he tried to block his shot but he failed doing so, This is it I thought ill  never make it, all of a sudden the railgun shot

IT MISSED

Taking advantage of his reloading time I captured the flag and we won 60-79.

Holding the enemy flag, I'm being pursued flanked on the right. Inching towards home base, putting the pedal to the metal, I desperately charge towards our flag for a capture. The enemy rail fires, I can hear the loud light charge sound soar through the once-quiet atmosphere that my tank resides in. I see the flash of the beam of light as it propels through the air at lightning speed, and I close my eyes. It is my only primal reaction to fear. To finding inner peace in such a heart-stopping moment. My mind flashes to memories, back home, back with family. Everything that could have happened, if I made decisions differently than I had in the past. Tears erupt from my eyes in a split second as I realized these could be my last moments.

The sound of the beam of light emitted from the rail roared with intensity as it nears my tank, and the seconds seem like forever. My eardrums are shaking almost to the point of shattering. The light passes before me and my eyes are blinded from the shimmering yellow light, as it misses my tank by nanometers. I'm...alive.
