Hulls

At the moment we dont need new hulls but how about adding abilities to them like:

 

When you get a wasp M2 you can get a ability where you have a turbo for a sertain time or a mamoth M2 you get a shield for an amount of seconds.

So please Reply if you agree.

Yeah, good idea - unique abilities for every hull.

 

In my vision it would be like this:

Wasp - hyper speed boost for 2-3 seconds every 30 seconds

Hornet - jump ability once every 10 seconds

Hunter - ability to turn back on it's tracks if it turns over (once per life)

Viking - hyper stability for a few seconds every minute (disables knock back from guns) 

Dictator - ability to drive over other tanks once every 40 second.

Titan - ability to become unmovable for a few seconds every minute (no tank can push it at all)

Mammoth - indestructible shield for a few seconds every minute.

It's a tank game. I'd prefer playing with tanks rather than futuristic gizmos.

 

This is not some friggin dumb kid game like friggin Mario-Kart!!!! Tanks don't have friggin turbo boosts or shields!!!! Go play some other game if you want powerups like that!!!

Except for, they do. Have you ever heard of Double Power, Double Armour and Nitro? Are they not boosts?  <_>

I'll remind everyone again that this game isn't a simulator, but an arcade. It's OK to have unrealistic items like the self-healing gun, ricocheting shots, freeze spray…. All these items are very unrealistic and can be described as "futuristic gizmos" as Jazz20 said. I think having special abilities for every hull would add variety to the gameplay and encourage players to try out all the different hulls, since they will have more characteristics apart from different speeds, armour, size and drift.

Disagree-- It would do nothing but complicate the game.

Sure, high-rankers like you know everything by heart and would love nothing more than more variety, however you have to think for the others too

Yeah, it would make the game more complicated, but i just think that at the moment all the guns are different and each is unique in it's now way, while the hulls only differ by armour-speed ratio, size and drift - not much variety there at all. It just seems that you don't even need that many hulls since they're very similar, despite the fact that there are only 7.

Actually, if you think about it, every hull does have its own unique trait:

-Wasp is the fastest but is extremely unstable, alot more than Hornet

-Hornet has drifting

-Hunter has extremely good manoeuvrability

-Dictator is the tallest and biggest hull out there

-Viking is the opposite of Wasp, being very stable even under heavy fire

-Titan has the most power of all hulls, and is able to push other hull easily

-Mammoth is simply massive

 

So IMO there is no need for special powers.

I belive that is correct soo Please make there be abilities for hulls

I dont agree with that that is not speacil ability.  It like a car they drift an go fast it not really and ability

I don't think it's unique enough to differentiate the hull from others. If you replaced all hull models with identical cubes (so that you can't tell them apart visually) and made the speeds and armour identical then you wouldn't be able to tell them apart that well just judging by drift and stability. There needs to be something that makes a hull so unique, that it completely changes the gameplay with that hull. Special abilities would do that perfectly.

Actually drift is the trait I like most about it - it really is akin to an ability since it can make large turns quick enough to backtrack behind an enemy.

No that is not the main part you can play without a turret but not without a hull and when i think of a tank i think of a base which is called a hull so there

I agree that an extra something is cool, but not what you proposed.. Instead, this:

 

Wasp - aquires stability, armor, power and weight of titan for 3 seconds every 30 seconds (without altering the speed)

Hornet - can move / climb on every surface (slope, wall etc) for 3 seconds  every 30 seconds / plus never flip over no matter what

Hunter - turns completely invisible for 3 seconds every 30 seconds

Viking - can move through buildings , walls and rocks for 3 seconds every 30 seconds 

Dictator - can use three paints on a rotating basis of 30 seconds (10 seconds paint A, 10 seconds paint B and 10 seconds paint C, then all over again).

Titan - becomes indestructable for 3 seconds every 30 seconds, while at the same time leaves behind a trail of 3 mines regularly distanced

Mammoth - X4 speed for 3 seconds every 30 seconds.

 

That would make for A LOT of fun (and of trouble, so it's better if these abilities apply only during Haloween, and in special maps only, such as Madness or Skyscrapers)  :D  :P  :D

That's just cheating. Such abilities will conflict with the anti-cheat system and there will be tons of false "cheater" reports from newbies.

Noo to op you dont need double armor when u already get it and double damage or speed

I agree,the anti cheat system will kick you instantly....

And with the hornet you can easily take the flag and then jump on some kind of building 4ever,which would be a complete troll,thus  giving the enemy team a bigger chance to take over,only works in CTF though...
