Update Review

Hello, this year we have seen many changes in Tanki, for better, or perhaps for worse in some peoples opinions. I will choose five of the biggest updates and look at their impact on the game.

 

1. First things first, just a small change that was the gold box notification becoming orange. most people will be thinking: what impact did this have, it just made the game look pretty. but personally, I think it added not only aesthetics, but also functionality. I rarely put the sound up on my laptop so I rely on seeing the notification in order to know there's a gold. The orange notification means its been differentiated from the old yellow 'captured the flag' notifications. Therefore, I've become a lot more aware, and caught a couple more golds :). When I first heard about the update, the description was along the lines of 'when gold boxes drop, the top line of the screen will go a different colour'. My unusual brain thought this meant the whole top screen went orange, but I was pleasantly surprised by this update.

I've got to go, but I'll put up the second review a bit later, and it will be a bit more interesting, don't worry!

orange is a profound color. imagine if stop signs were gray or green, then were changed to red.
