Our game now has its own shotgun! Hammer is already on the main servers!

Hammer is a short-range turret that deals massive damage up close. Essentially a shotgun, Hammer is capable of damaging several opponents with one shot at medium ranges. The damage each target receives, depends on the number of pellets hitting it.

Hammer fires at a rate similar to Smoky’s, but it must reload after three shots. Reloading takes about the same time as Railgun.

Protection from Hammer will soon be added to several existing paints. Additionally, we’ll be introducing new paints aimed primarily at protecting your tank from the Hammer’s damage.

We have also improved the auto-aim mechanism for all turrets in the game. Now your gun can aim not just at a tank’s hull, but at its turret as well. Hitting an opponent’s turret can flip him over or knock off his aim considerably.

If you’ve been looking for a new challenge, or a new experience in Tanki Online, you might want to try out Hammer. This new turret, together with the improved auto-aim feature, brings lots of fresh, new gameplay for you to experiment with. We will see how it is, because in test server is was over-powered, I hope it is not op in the game. I like this game very much and I hope this dose not ruin it even more, we needed more hulls not, turrets, because there are more hulls then turrets..

 

 

But nice work it's cool to have a new turret in the game. If you add
protection don't add it to Picasso! XD

 

The price of the gun is also like smokey.. M0 way OP it's like an m1 and it's mid shot ranged that's good :D

 

It works best with light hulls XD

Nice. But I will wait a sale to buy it. It's not the same weapon we have tested in test server. I'll wait to see how it is, when other players qill use it.

 

Also, there are no paints protecting from this gun. No new paints and no edited paints. So it will be very OP.

I'll surely have to find some way to avoid getting 1-shotted by these guys when they're on Double Power. . . .

But a drugged Isida is very nasty as well. Say hi to my M3 Isida on drugs. :mellow:

 

Although it's a close-ranged gun, I find it remarkable to be able to at least deal some damage in medium ranges, something Firebird, Isida, and Freeze cannot do. Granted however, the accuracy in that sort of attack would be decreased noticeably. Though that's why a point-blank shot is always the best way to go! :)

 

Still waiting on that Machine Gun . . . .I've got my eyes on that Machine Gun.

Finally, will wait till New Year sale though then buy it. Only one thing which is more powerful? Machine gun or Hammer? I'll buy the more powerful one to M3.

One more thing, will Machine gun be released before New Year sale? I hope so.  ;)

@Lukey0: I personally think that Machine Gun will be released before the New Years', and just in time to participate in any sales as well.

I'm assuming the sale will be on, what, the 30th or 1st? So there is at least a 10 day difference.

Yay, I'm happy about the new turret. I'm not sure if I'm happy with the new auto-aim system, though. If it automatically aims for the turret then that will be bad news for Railgun users.  :(
