New turret already in the game!

New update with auto aim is bad. Revoke this update, please. Its not just when someone shoots you, if you're just driving along you get flipped out of no where.

Right.

In addition I can tell that now wasp flips not only when the shot hits laterally, but also when it hits the front or the back of the hull!!!

Tankers!

Our game now has its own shotgun! Hammer is already on the main servers!

Hammer is a short-range turret that deals massive damage up close. Essentially a shotgun, Hammer is capable of damaging several opponents with one shot at medium ranges. The damage each target receives, depends on the number of pellets hitting it.

Hammer fires at a rate similar to Smoky’s, but it must reload after three shots. Reloading takes about the same time as Railgun.

Protection from Hammer will soon be added to several existing paints. Additionally, we’ll be introducing new paints aimed primarily at protecting your tank from the Hammer’s damage.

We have also improved the auto-aim mechanism for all turrets in the game. Now your gun can aim not just at a tank’s hull, but at its turret as well. Hitting an opponent’s turret can flip him over or knock off his aim considerably.

If you’ve been looking for a new challenge, or a new experience in Tanki Online, you might want to try out Hammer. This new turret, together with the improved auto-aim feature, brings lots of fresh, new gameplay for you to experiment with. Check them out in the arena, and don’t forget to share your thoughts in this thread.

That's it? No more info? How does it work?

Now I know how to hit tanks at different elevations / ranges, but how does this auto-aim mechanism fit in here. Does it work short range only, or long range too? How do I aim for a turrent over let's say 80 meters? Better yet, how do I aim for a turrent? Is there luck invoved when firing over long distances, or only tactics?

So many questions, so little information...

I've played with Hammer M0 in my Sergeant-Major account and it seems pretty balanced, its fairly strong like Ricochet M0. I wonder how well it does at higher ranks, M1 stats seems much better.

Hitting multiple tanks at once doesnt seems very functional though.

As for looks, its barrel needs to be longer.

I'll be damn..just when I thought you devs can't think of  another "bigger"trick for people to buy crystals..releasing the gun before the paints are in the game?..shame on you..you are making us look kind a ******ed now..first time in the last 4 years,I am really considering to leave the game..you are making fools of us with almost every update you make..like the one before this, after you brought back "game mode filters",making that look like you LISTEN TO THE PLAYERS..if you really had listen, those buttons wouldn't be removed at first place..and that was just one example..with 30 on my back,I am having enough..play tricks on kids..I am tired of this

Don't blame the developers. Their JOB is to improve the game constantly and you put them down. It's the choice of players whether to buy or not. It's one of their USP's (Unique Selling Points)

You don't have to buy, let players do what they want, the devs are only doing their job. Please be more respectful as it is their job, it's not a game for them.

Looks: 7

Power: 5

Reload: Could be a 7, but more like a 4

Overall:

This gun isn't brilliant, and it will take a LOT of practice to master it. It looks nice, especially the bullets, but the turret doesn't appear to change much between modifications. It has an interesting shooting pattern, and although at close range a lot of damage can be done, it is highly inaccurate over long range, a bit like a poor Thunder. Now to its reload. I think you've adjusted this interestingly. I think the 'three shots' idea is good, however the interval between shooting is impractical and leads to decreased gameplay. This should be altered I feel... Overall, it was a good concept, just needs some minor changes. I also greatly anticipate the release of the machine gun!

I have tested this gun, but be careful when playing with it.

Don't go driving around firing this gun wildly.

The power in the shot is very, well... powerful.

Do be quick while in range with Hammer. The other tank you're facing

might win the battle unless you aim the gun perfectly at the tank, so that the pellets all hit the tank.

The result is mass damage, but do be nimble and quick to start firing and backing away from a firebird.

This gun is perfect for all battles, for instance CTF. Guarding the flag in CTF with Hammer will probably

keep your team from losing. Guarding ally-ways like in Dusseldorf is perfect for this gun, close range combat, and wide shots are the key to Hammer.

Though this gun has some bad characteristics, one is the reloading, two is the amount of power this gun has, three its range. I've always complained about reloading, but it's all part of the game.

Hammer has a unique trait, it's three rounds before reloading. So, let us make a scenario, you have the enemies flag and, you are coming back to your flag, but you're being chased by a firebird. You are taking damage, you fire your last shot and you have to start reloading, then you are destroyed.

You are in a CTF battle, the score is tied you have the flag and you see an enemy tank.

You are sure you can destroy the tank, so you fire and you are going up a ramp, then you get flipped over and you do not capture the flag to win the battle.

Time is running out the score is 3-3. The enemy tank is right there  holding your teams flag, about to capture it, you fire and you are not close enough and you lose.

Hammer is a great gun, and has some bad traits, but the rating I give this gun is a 7 out of 10.
