Aiming Update

I still do think though, that some more weight will need to be added to the tanks in order to offset this flipping game that we now have, as I too have noticed that it is way to easy to flip people, and have also been flipped several times myself.

Maybe the weight of all hulls needs to be increased by tanki or remove this silly update. Better auto aim is ok, but WHY the flipping?  It's silly, are we playing a tank game or is this turning into Mario Kart Online? Next update will include banana peels so your tank will spin out of control.  Sorry DEVS, but what were you thinking?

Uhm, I can't tell if this is gamebreaking or incredibly fun. Imagine when people start using M3 Hammer. Let's hope this isn't a hard counter to Wasp and its integrity.

Worried about XP/BP format. It shouldn't be this easy to flip others. Half of gametime will be lost in self destructing. Doesn't seem right at all for a turret with an impact force like railgun.

*Watches the video again*

Ok lemme rephrase what I said. It's frigging ridiculous. A faster charge with rail would almost always result in the targetted tank being flipped.

Love the new realism  ^_^

Realism?  I hope your being sarcastic. Flipping tanks is far form real, then again not much is realistic in Tanki. Tanks are big and heavy and certainly not flip-able.  The target age for this game is getting lower all the time, and therefor the skill required to play it is getting lower as well. That is probably why they added an improved auto aim, to make it easier for the little kids. They would think the flipping is cool too, I guess.

And this update just at the brink of XP/BP finally becoming official...

Many posts have been made by Tankers pleading for XP/BP (format) battles to become a reality.

Almost there...and now with one simple tiny update the whole idea behind XP/BP has IMO become pretty much useless.

The basic idea of XP is simple: getting hit by two shots? Than you respawn and hopefully in time to save the day...

and only on occassion you would be getting flipped.

Now with all the flips the two-shots rule has been corrupted. Being flipped again it doesn 't matter you were only shot once,

and if for example your team get lucky to flip two hulls of the enemy team: huge advantage and an easy capture.

And Hornet being more stable than Wasp? It used to be, with this update the Wasp only has a shorter "fliptime": they both flip.

TO: "we want more dynamic gameplay": I guess they were talking about light hulls doing all kind of acrobatics?

Perhaps at least the Parkourists are happy with this auto-aim update: besides the medium and heavy hull players another group

that will benefit from it.

Besides having little armour, and being primary targets in the first place, Hornet and Wasp players now also have to

deal with this extreme impact force.

My feeling: how to give Tanki back to the noobs "Part 1"?

I 'm afraid your right.

I lost a 30 min battle in sandbox because an "m1 rail " hit my hornet m3 and flipped it like 35 times...define boiling..its the state of my head when some one flip me over and over and over ...just becauae he hits u..i spent half the time self destructing...this is silly and insulting...

It is not actually a physics update, the update now allows you to hit your opponent's turret, rather than just their hull.

It's only certain parts of a turret. The bounding boxes of the weapons AND hulls are completely different to the displayed textures, so if you were to shoot railgun's barrel part of the turret you'd not be able to deal it any damage. I know that this is so that you could plop your tank near a wall with your turret inside a wall for a "smoother" gameplay (or basically so you could become a professional much easier), but it's totally unrealistic.

And by the looks of it the new bounding boxes for turrets have cause a problem and made Railgun OP: You know your enemies over all the time. And obviously you're gonna leave them like that if you're in like a CP or CTF mode, because it gives you the advantage of taking over points and capturing flags while they're like that. And we all know that all the kinds of self destruction leads to losing score and kills.

Love the new realism   ^_^

You either need to look in the dictionary for the meaning of the word "realism" or you just don't get how the update made things go by.

It seems to me Tanki has a big problem with being able to properly test things. I've said it many times already, the test severs are not an accurate place to test how updates will effect regular game play on regular servers. People's goals and focus change on the test servers, because they are not real accounts and crystals don't matter.

It only took dishonest players a few hours to figure out how to use this "flipping" to ruin game play for others.

As many already know mults and saboteurs are a huge problem, and for some reason the Devs refuse to acknowledge it. This update has only given these types of players a new tool for ruining games, and this is exactly the type of thing that doesn't get exposed on the test servers. When tanki held "the experiment" about the crystal boxes, I thought great the Devs finally figured out the right way to test new potential updates, and then this completely unannounced, undiscussed, update sneaks in with the Hammer introduction. It kinda makes me wonder, why now and why at all? Does it have something to due with Hammer?  If it does I'd gladly give up hammer to get rid of this STUPID flipping.

I agree the targeting of turrets was needed, but did it have to come with the side effect of flipping? I actually don't like to flip people with a shot, I prefer to out play them and get the kill. It's more satisfying and when I flip them it almost feels like I cheated. I'm sure a lot of the XP/BP players feel the same way. Most XP/BP players play this format for the skill not dumb blind luck.

If the TO Devs made it too easy to flip a light hull, this might be quite silly (and IMO it is), but unfortunately than it 's also allowed

for other players to take advantage of this auto-aim/flip update...wouldn 't call them quote: "dishonest".

For the rest of your story: 100% agreed and very, very well said!

( + a lot )

I was referring to saboteurs. They are flipping their own teammates now.

This is a good and more realistic update. The turret IS part of the tank and therefore should be able to be hit. Light tank drivers moaning about flipping over, well all it means is you can't drive around full speed into the enemy base. You have to consider the enemy's actions and position your tank accordingly.

I use hornet quite a lot and I've been flipped a few times. I find it funny, sometimes it leads to spectacular flips, especially in XP battles.
