Alot of WoT players complain about Artillery, because they have never played artillery. They sit out in the open thinking they will be safe because they have a Maus or a T95. Then when arty hits them they flood the chat with rage. They think artillery is some kind of orbital missile drone that never misses.

 

Tanki isn't played by people who want a realistic experience, it's an arcade free-2-play browser game, Comparing them is just preposterous.

 

I think an artillery turret "Could" be added to TO. The fact that there is a delay between firing and hitting means it would be very difficult to take out light tanks. Personally I think an artillery would be fun. It has major limitations, possibly not being able to fire arcade like shaft. t wouldn't be Overpowered, in fact it would be the opposite. You would need to be very skilled to get a flawless game. 

 

 

But i do understand why it wouldn't. The amount of Rage just when tanki updates AA is amazing, and unfortunately it really shows the age of most the players.

Yeah my original thought was to make the shot deliver in 5-9 seconds - so you would have to guess where that person would be in 5-9 seconds then reload would take 10-12 seconds. I thought that was unbalanced...I guess I never really asked for opinions on that part.

taking 9 seconds??? LOL that would be for mammoth haterz. 9 seconds would allow a tank to escape EASILY

I think that he said 5-9 seconds depending on the distance of the shot. Plus you could probably always MU the time it takes to get the shot delivered... Just my two cents :)

Yep, you're exactly correct.

Plus, like I said in the original post, everything is subject to change. I was just thinking that 5-9 seconds would make it hard to make a good shot. Since you know, this weapon has the ability to shoot over buildings it has to have something that counters that good ability. Therefore a long delivery time would be the counter.

This gun would be more like thunder.... So I say ... No!

In a way it would be like Thunder yet, but in many other ways it wouldn't. If you have ever heard of Artillery you have probably thought oh it shoots into the air... Well yet it does, this weapon is unique, it has HIGH DIRECT damage to tanks, and when a shot is direct it has NO splash damage. When the shot is INDIRECT - otherwise known as not hitting the tank then it has LOW SPLASH damage. Also it takes way longer to reload, has slow turning speed, and has poor accuracy.

Any update?.

 

Well I tryed to think about it. and this is my thinking.

 

I think any turret should be balanced with other turret.

In Tanki, there are short, medium and long range turret.

To be honest, short and long range is too much difference.

But weakness railgun and shafts made it balanced.

 

Well, I think this artillery turret is make trouble to short range turret. Maybe all turret.

I think this artillery turret is reduces the way of the strategy used by short range turret.

In my opinion: direct attacks strategy and hide then attack strategy.

 

Maybe if u include short-range turret in consideration,

I think it will good for other turret too.

For name artilery turret. Euler. mmm maybe community have better idea.

 

Plus 1 more issue. Alot of turret = alot of paint.

Thats make more harder to have most common turret protection now.

Also make more harder to remember.

My point is the paint feature is more weak now.

Need to improve that too.

Mmm, for inspiration, try the game command and conquer series.

For example Red Alert 2 : Yuri Revenge and General: Zero Hour.

 

There is alot of tank that soo unique, and destroyable by short weapon.

Mmm just sharing

 

Not that this is good turret idea, but this my turret idea for this tanki.

This idea arose when i see wasp m3 too fast, and mammoth m3 too strong and too heavy.

 

How about make short gun that transmute tank.

When hit to heavy hull, that hull will be smaller, lighter and weaker armor. Because the strength of heavy hull is armor.

The smaller part is to consistent with light hull effect.

The lighter part is to make it more easy to push that hull (well heavy hull have habit sit on flag)

The weaker part is to consistent with heavy hull and light hull strong point.

 

When hit to light hull, that hull will be bigger, heavier and slower. Because the strength of light hull is speed.

The bigger part is to make it more easy to destroy.

The heavier part is to consistent with heavy hull effect.

The slower part is to consistent with heavy hull and light hull strong point.

 

Well the armor of light hull is not decrease as already weak

And the speed of heavy hull is not decrease as already slow

 

One tank can only transmute to 10% or higher, enemy tank.

So if 2 tank attack, u can transmute up to 20%.

Max to transmute is 90% if they still alive lol.

So we can expect big wasp and mini mammoth.

 

For cure, wait as effect is time limited or ask isida XD

 

Oh the turret size not change. idk, i think it better this way.

 

That the unique part.

This unique feature goal is to make smaller gap in light hull and heavy hull (especially m3+)

 

For attack pattern, i think it better to use same mechanism with firebird and freeze.

Ability to attack multi tank and go through tank

 

For damage,

it should better than isida. as this will not have selfhealing.

It should lower than firebird as this is more powerful feature than afterburn firebird.

Maybe higher than freeze as freeze is more anoyying than this turret. or maybe same.

 

For range, it should higher than any short range turret or maybe the worst medium range turret,

as the goal is attack heavy hull

(well i think it will be suicude for light medium hull, so give more handicap here)

and catch light hull

(well, that naturally)

 

I think it will be funnier also in tanki.

 

Well for name, maybe alice. XD

As Alice = Alice in wonderland = Magic world XD

 

But yeah, i dont know if tanker like this. Just my idea.

tanki has just recently added hammer and is goign to add a machine gun soon we do not need more weps its just somthign else we haft to buy and waist crys on when we need to save for m3s and microed m3 parts right ?

In a way yes, but I did not know that they were going to add Hammer and the Machine Gun, I created this forum post before they said anything about those two weapons.
