It might be a little bit more convenient because of the instant shooting but railgun users know how to time their shot anyway and it's not that hard. Also rail is a long range turret so it will still be used to shoot further tanks.

Railgun can't be replaced its one of the most common turrets in the game. Hammer is good but not better than railgun since we still need to master the gun. Lol

I played for a while now with Hammers and they are very useful for flip fight and work almost as good as rail, I bought Hammer M1 for flip fight but I also started using it for parkour now as my rail is M0 :P So now I can help others get on some more places too, I was used to be the one that gets up almost all the time because I only have good jumping equipment. (wasp M1 with fully upgraded speed and health, and I will fully upgrade the engine power tomorrow at the discount)

Railgun was one of the most feared weapons and still is because it's mass damage. It is favoured by many top players and XP battles are hugely popular. Railgun will never be replaced.

Railgun is the most popular gun maybe, but not the most feared one, Shaft was very dangerous and got nerfed few times and is still too strong, it can one shot almost everyone with double power, and most players without double power (because most players use hornet + many players use wasp)... and Hammer is not any better, it is stronger and shoots 3 times as fast as smoky, and then it has to wait the same amount of time as rail to recharge - even though it deals more damage and can split the damage between multiple targets to kill them all.

Railgun is still used a lot in parkour because in some cases it's long range and concentrated power makes it more useful than Hammer, and because most parkourists that upgraded Railgun especially for parkour didn't get a good Hammer yet. But in many cases Hammer is now way better than Railgun.

 

I my opinion it is good to have more diversity in parkour equipment, but it is bad for players that spent a lot of time and crystals to get a good rail for parkour and now their rail is no longer as effective as it used to be so they have to spend a lot more time and crystals to get Hammer if they want the impact force back.

Rail hits in 1 spot allowing the force to be seemingly more powerful. It also shoots through a tank meaning it can move the tank without flipping it or even altering its balance. 

 

Since hammer sprays its shots it will be good for when you need to evenly hit a tank but not when you need to get a tank to flip.

It is stronger but cause its sprayed it seems les powerful. Yes the range depends on the spray but i think that rail is never going to be replaced as its great at all ranges

In short range Hammer is stronger, and in most tricks there is no need for shooting from long range.

Just so many people have mastered rail for parkour there is no need to change. They give a similar effect but i wouldn't expect rail to be replaced ever

So after reading in this topic on the railgun and hammer I must share my thoughts on this topic hhh. So first of all I have to admit the railgun is a great weapon to use in parkour for the impact force it embraces in short and long range targets...for that reason I dont think it could be replaced...not to mention the visual effects it offers when displaying parkour tricks. On the same note the hammer in short range is more effective while in long range useless...but what the hammer has in which the railgun will never possess is for one..the greater impact force at close range in which alot of parkour tricks are initialized at that moment in close range and will make a huge difference in the outcome of that trick and also not having to time the shot. This gives the hammer an advantage over railgun in alot of parkour...Given there are people that have mastered thier railguns and the timing of the shot, it is still a higher percentage of a chance for the railgun to miss over the hammers instant shot due to timing.

to decrease the population of railgun . . .

but still rail remained popular than hammer, they hav decided to decrease the impact force of railgun which make hammer popular wen it comes to parkour.

but, railgun can never b replaced by an gun as its impact is the same at all ranges
