Hello Tankers,

I need some quality advice concerning this grouping of paints as I have no experience in this area whatsoever for my rank. I will be buying M2 Twins and will thus be a Mammoth-Twins M2 player and need a paint that fits well with this combo. I have enough crystals for any paint that goes up to my rank. Please don't tell me to get Protigi or some other m3 paint as i don't have the rank and am only looking for paints that are at my rank or lower. Thank you for your help and I look forward to some advice, Season's Greetings, -TTW

One thing to look at when buying paints is who you think will be the hardest opponent to play against. Seeing that you will have mammoth twins m2, you will predominantly defend in CTF matches. So, in such battles, what would be your worst enemy. Obviously, twins is brutal against tankers who use hulls like hornet and wasp, which are commonly seen with close-combat hulls mounted on top of them. Such examples would be isida, freeze, firebird, and hammer. Another thing to also know is if you are combating any close-combat turret, you will be going head on with your unlimited twins. Safe to say, with back up, you would probably win that fight. Hammer, as we have seen so far, is predominantly best at defending, so among skilled players, you probably would not see to many of them near your flag. Thus, you shouldn't buy paints that provide protection to these turrets. So, the next turrets to look at are turrets that shoot from a moderate-long range. The turrets to look at are thunder, railgun, ricochet, and smoky. Don't buy a paint that protects you from shaft (winter for example). In maps like Silence, Noise, and Superhov, you shouldn't worry too much about shafts because they are predominantly best in battles located in Highway, Stadium, and Lost Temple, although you should be careful of the little openings that give shaft access to enemy bases in Silence and Superhov. These maps would not be suitable for your mammoth twins combo so this shouldn't really be that big of an issue for you. When looking at thunder, railgun, ricochet, and smoky, you want to be able to know which turrets you are going to be up against. Seeing that Thunder is one of the earliest m3s anybody can get, as well as Smoky being the latest m2 and railgun being one of the universal turrets for all tankers, it would be fitting that you probably get a paint that provides protection predominantly to one of these turrets. Ricochet m2 starts to fade away from the battle seen as you go up into the Major General battles, although it will return to the scene at Commander, where it becomes available at M3, but that's a long way from now. So, in my opinion, you should get a paint that protects you predominantly from a either smoky, railgun, and thunder. So, here is a list of the best paints available at your rank and below that provide protection from these 3 turrets.

Smoky: Hohloma, Savanna (unlocks Brigaider but I would highly recommend you get at the next 50% sale)

Railgun: Digital, Tundra

Thunder: Rustle, Cedar

Another good paint to consider is Urban, seeing that when you are battling it out with other twins, you most likely will go head on with them. It provides a massive 40% protection from twins plus a decent 20% Isida!!!! But, remember that as you rank up higher and higher, you may see more m3s than you see m2s, although m2 twins may be more common due to the fact that it is one of the more powerful M2s.

Note: One new turret that has not been introduced yet to tanki but will come to the game in the next few months is the machine gun turret (Magnum probably). We do not know the physics or stats of this new turret although it may prove effective against larger tanks at a large distance, especially if it has a larger range than twins and can easily outshoot a twins. Just putting things into perspective.

Hope I helped :) :) !

*My advice is always based on my own experiences from playing this game.

Thank you, I will most likely be buying the paint "Rustle" for the visual and protection benefits. I like Rustle of ceder because ceder doesn't have the "look" that rustle has. It also doesn't have decent protection against isida unlike rustle and it's other protection against smoky isn't even useful. Those are my thoughts and from talking with other tankers, "Rustle" is the best choice. Thanks for you're help, -TTW
