Unfairness in Tanki events

 Share

Recommended Posts

We've all heard of brilliant events such as the mine hunt, Facebook battles and most recently, Staff vs Players. They appear to offer an excellent chance for your common or garden tanker to win crystals, or meet prolific staff members. However, it has come to light that the chance of a player getting in isn't as fair as you would think. Notice how you ALWAYS see famous players in these battles, even if you've clicked on the link as quickly as you can, just as it comes out, you're still no way near getting in.

I have decided to write this after waiting with around 20 odd other tankers on the Staff vs Players page for the link to come out. not only did the link come out late but NOT ONE of us got in, even though we were all ready and waiting. We could have expected at least on or two players in, but we managed zero. you might say, oh, they were just too slow, then how weren't other players such as mia.archangel and the.wendeta quicker than everyone else (not hating on you guys though because you are awesome). It is simply down to the staff involved inviting their friends to the battle before everyone else.

More evidence? Some players in that battle weren't online on Facebook or the forum before the battle link was given out. Either they managed to get that 1 in 50 chance of being on the right server, or, well, they were invited. Some of you may be thinking, so what? They're in a battle everyone else wanted to be in. I, and other tankers I have talked to, feel that getting tankers to wait for an awesome opportunity, which ultimately is rigged, for in some cases 20 minutes, is wasting our time and therefore destroying the point of making these battles.

I hope I can gain the support of other tankers as I feel it is a cause for concern that needs to be addressed.

easiest way to organize an event..announce it, say the server in the announcement with time and who will post link to battle..post the link and it is done...no complainants from anyone

Hhh I get in almost every event without any difficulties… Maybe you guys do it the wrong way, but don't criticize those who can get in.

Famous players are always in such games because they are fast, how do you think they became famous? They were waiting for the link for about 15 minutes before it was posted.

I have decided to write this after waiting with around 20 odd other tankers on the Staff vs Players page for the link to come out. not only did the link come out late but NOT ONE of us got in, even though we were all ready and waiting. Other players were waiting as well. And do you want to know how these "famous" players got in so fast? When the server was decided, all the mods changed to the server EN11, so minutes later we saw that most of the "famous" players are in the same server asking why are we all here.

And I can assure you NO mod invited a friend. Moreover, when Yele posted the link on Facebook, you should have seen the players that joined, 12 players join at almost the same second, that proves how fair it is, they joined at the same time because all of them were waiting and got the link at the same time.

More evidence? Some players in that battle weren't online on Facebook or the forum before the battle link was given out. Either they managed to get that 1 in 50 chance of being on the right server, or, well, they were invited. Some of you may be thinking, so what? They're in a battle everyone else wanted to be in. And you were watching the forum and FB at the same time looking at who is online and who isn't?

Trust me when I tell you it ISN'T rigged, the chances were absolutely fair for everyone.

We're sorry to see that you all are upset about the what happened today. Perhaps we can explain them a bit better for you.

The reason the game was late to begin with was certain staff members were busy and could not participate, so we had to produce others. As for the game being remade, players had infiltrated the staff team and refused to leave for waiting staff members.

As for the link being handed out under the table, we can assure you that nothing of the sort took place. The fact that certain players managed to be on the correct server is not a hard thing to understand. Many staff members were on the server, and due to the fact that players have them in their friends list, the players figured what server the game was to be held and and join it. As such, that was an unpreventable factor. As for some players being able to join super quickly, we don't even understand this. We've checked and confirmed that the link was never shared. A combination of quick reflexes, good internet speed, and a fast computer enabled some people to join almost instantly.

To sum this all up, we apologize that certain members were not able to join. If these events ever take place again, rest assured that your feedback will be used to make the better and more compatible with the needs presented. Thank you all for participating and/or supporting the event. Hopefully we'll see you all in the battlefield soon!
