What does it mean when you get shot at...

... by a member of your own team?

 

I like to join losing sides in TDM or CP, work very hard for the team, and sometimes am able to help turn the tide.

 

Sometimes the other side decide to leave with a few minutes still to go if they are now losing. So, with just our side left, someone from my own team might start shooting at me.

 

It doesn't happen very often, but what does this mean?

 

Are they trying to get rid of me so they can take a larger share of the battle fund? Are they just practising their shooting skills whilst waiting for the game to end? Or does it mean something else even?

 

It doesn't really bother me, I find it quite amusing ( :D ) , but being a 'noob' I'm just curious as to what is going on here.

 

Would someone please enlighten me?

Some players just shoot each other for fun, if they're bored. Others might be trying to flip you or annoy you, they're only messing about although doing this excessively could be considered sabotage.

Yeah, if there is no enemy left, people just get bored at start shooting each other. Even I do that sometimes  :unsure:

Its really common. Just to pass time we shoot team mates for fun. Its not savotage or trying to kick you its just something to do

They are maybe trying to flip you, so you have to self destruct, lose points, so they get more fund.

Hmm 1st this happen to me Also i was Angry.

 

Then i started to do this then lolz it actually is Fun to push tanks down cliff or upside Down.

 

Finally what to say, this is a Game and there should be some fun is'nt it ????

It's target practice and skill development when there are no enemies.

if you're feeling like a jerk and you have a good pushing hull ( i.e. Dictator) you can push people off the edge to decrease their score

It hardly does anything unless you are so bad you get pushed off 10+ times.

Today I Was On A Monte Carlo CTF . Good Game With Equal Flags ........
Then I Rushed In Going For The Flag And Successfully Was Going To Capture The Flag . 
Then My Own's Team Hammer M1 Shot Me ...... Whew I Just FLipped Almost Upside - Down ...
Anyway I Managed And Phew...
Capped The Flag . B) ....... We Won . ....... But That Moment ...........  :wacko:
