Dropzone timer: countdown clock instead of color fading

A countdown clock would be a more convenient way to show how much time is left until a new supply will fall onto a dropzone. This would be better than the current "color fading" of the dropzone, which doesn't give a good clue of how long you'll have to wait for a new supply (even for experienced players).

 

Graphically, I imagine this as a circle of bars representing time around the dropzone sign (something like the effect currently used for the cooldown timer on supplies).

Yeah, I was hoping this would be a thing (I'm pretty sure it was in the video blog), but for some reason they didn't add it. At the moment the best thing you can do is remember the time when you picked up a box off the ground and come back to the same place 120-140 seconds later to pick up the next box. Works best in the beginning of the game when all boxes fall almost simultaneously.

There's actually a pattern on supllies dropping. Learning them on different maps is very helpful :D

It's not a pattern, it's just that they fall every 120-140 seconds. If you see a DA dropping in one spot and a nitro in another almost afterwards, then if you pick up the DA and 10 seconds later get the nitro, the chances are that 2 minutes later if you wait for the same DA to drop, you will be able to pick it up, go to the nitro drop spot and the nitro should already be dropping. That way you can easily collect a full drug set a few times in a row without having to use many of your supplies.

sounds good. and how about reducing it to 80-90 seconds instead of 120-140?
