Tactics for hammer

As everybody knows tanki recently released a new gun. Hammer. It is a shotung that can damage multiple tanks at medium distance and the damage depends on the amount of pellets hitting it. Every gun has its tactics, for example, railguns charge makes it necesary to charge it before you reveal yourself. Every other gun has tactics as well. As a new gun Players will have to get used to the way hammer works and how to work it to their benefit. this topic is to speed up and help them do it. Any tactics,advice,or suggestions on what to use with hammer are welcome here. Merry Christmas tankers!!! :fire_r: :fire_l:

Generally hornet, fist get near and shot and run after a wall and return.

 

Hornet, Hunter and Viking are their main targets. Wasp is too fast, Dictator is too strong. They are always searching map for double power drug, similar to railgun. Railguns and thunders are favorite guns for kill, but generally they don't touch other short ranges and shafters. There is not any special case about paint chooses, but i saw many rare paint.

thank you. i have seen that hamer works best in silence, noise, zone, brest, and island.

If you're out of action and in a safe place but don't have a full "clip" (3 shots) discharge what you have before going back to battle as that will give you an advantage.

I just got hammer m1. and its not going to well for me. it takes to hits to kill one hornet m1. and 3 for a Viking dictator. thunder can just keep going. something needs to change

lol yea as the second most expensive M1 it's not very good, but if its range were increased any further it would be OP

hammer is able to kill dictator with a clip and you can blow off most enemies aim away (especially hornets) with a single shot

i can get awesome DL with it and hornet on my wo3

@AceAgent: Very good advice, and one that I was going to put as well.

If you have 1/3 shots left, and you see enemy tanks in the distance, just shoot the shots into the air and let yourself reload.

When they arrive, you'll be ready with 3/3 shots.

 

But looking at the stats, rank, enemy Hammers, and experiencing Hammer's aim and shot dispersions myself, I think M0-M2 do just fine, but M3/4 could use some nerfing. Not that the dispersion is that "wide" anyway. Besides, it's supposed to be a sort of short-ranged to medium ranged gun, which it fits in quite remarkably with high damage output and NO self damage.

 

Again, looking at the stats, ranks, I think it's just fine, even overpowered. Hopefully Paints will do its job.

Two-shotting a Hornet M1 with Hammer M1 is already very good. Thunder M1 can't even do that, it needs 3 shots, and that's ASSUMING it's maximum damage. One shot matters, since that may be all the time your enemy needs to kill you.

I use hammer on dictator and i am always the best. Hammer is just OP. I use hammer M0 with dictator M1 and i own in levels like major or even higher.

m1 hammer is not the best, but once you get too m2/m3 its a brilliant gun.

 Thunder M1 can't even do that, it needs 3 shots, and that's ASSUMING it's maximum damage. One shot matters, since that may be all the time your enemy needs to kill you.

The min/max damage thing when they released the balancing notes really surprised me.  I had never realized that you really do not do the amount of damage listed in the stats.  It'd be logical to assume an even distribution, but look at the notes the devs posted for the update:

So all along there has been a hidden category for each gun for the percentage of shots that do minimum damage.  For Thunder 50% of shots do the minimum.  For smoky it is 10%, for vulcan it is 30%.  So when comparing thunder on paper it'd be best to remember the actual damage distribution within its range.

Erm, dude, that's the percentage of damage you deal when you're at the maximum range the gun allows.

Thunder m3 has 125 meters, at that range you'll be doing 50% damage.

hammer is extra ordinary now but a little problem of charging it takes a but time now before vulcan came it was too good and thn when new weapon vulcan was in game they changed it a bit it is now a good parkour weapon as well and nice to flip enemy and your team wasp tanks

Should i micro upgrade thunder or hammer?

I advise you only microupgrade at m3. If you do choose to mu one, I think thunder is better. Edited by IronCommando
