High Rankers Bully Medium Ranks

 Share

Recommended Posts

I joined a Noise CTF PRO battle and one guy said he wants me out. He was a major general. I don't understand why. Then he said I am M0. I don't know why he said that because I am M2 Isida. He may be talking about my hull: Wasp M1. I guess it made sense considering not many high ranks use Wasp, but there is no best turret or hull right? Besides, I have until Colonel to get M2. Last, he said he needs the game. I have no idea what he is talking about. If he meant that he doesn't want to be bothered, I wasn't bothering him at all. I was just healing him if needed. This happened another time when I was a M1 Isida. They also wanted me to leave. I can still help though, especially since I'm Isida. However, some high rankers are very nice. In a Monte Carlo battle, two high rankers were bullying me. Then, a shaft told me to come heal him and stay.

It's called being a mult. I suggest you stick with your own rank battles because I can completely understand why the guy wanted you out.

M2 Isida + M2 Wasp + Forester

That's an insane combo for a  battle...Is that your main combo? You were lucky your team had won, otherwise they would keep using 'colorful language'. I bet you got blown away many times during the battle. I know I did when I faced  ...

Well it is called a "own rank battle" because its the right rank for meh.

High ranks still not happy about the update about rank limits??????

So most of the replies in this topic are saying you should give consideration to others and stop acting selfishly when joining battles that are above your station. I'm sure your tank combination would be able to contribute something to the battle but ask yourself, Is your contribution, at that level, virtually indistinguishable from that of a mult?

This is where Kick2 is the solution to everyone's problem here.

Kick2 would protect you if your contribution is no lower than 55% of the average of your team mates in terms of score or the rate at which you score.  This means you can be kicked by voting if you're acting like a mult but you will find you cannot be kicked if your contribution is just enough.

If you've not done so already, please visit the Kick2 Suggestion which is now very close to 250 likes and give +1

I can't say I understand the argument for wanting lower ranks to leave a battle. If a game is open to ranks from WO5 to Generalisimo, well then, you've got to be prepared for WO5s to join surely? If not, then don't join battles with lower ranks activated.

Even if they are higher in rank with not a great combo - it's not against any rules is it? The way the ranking works, you are forced to keep ranking up, whether you can afford to upgrade your equipment or not.

I don't think it's right to tell someone to leave because you don't like their combo or the way they play.  This is a game open to members of the public of all ages, abilities and combos and there are no rules that say you can't join - that's the way the game has been designed at the moment. Maybe some kind of 'match-making' system (as mentioned in the 'ideas' section) could allow people to choose more restricted criteria when creating some battles?

One needs to except that when playing, one won't always have the perfect team unless you create private battles with your friends. Personally, I think it's a miracle that complete strangers from around the world, of different ages, cultures, genders, abilities, etc. can suddenly come together for 15 minutes or so and form a loose 'team' - without even communicating most of the time! Amazing!

Don't get me wrong, I can well understand the frustration for very competitive players  of having a weaker team because of someone's combo or ability, but then there are many other imbalances in this game (uneven team numbers, drugging, inactivity, etc.) - it's the nature of the beast as far as I can see.

Deliberate sabotage is quite another matter of course, but for me, if people at least make an effort, that's good enough. But then, I don't need to win to feel like I've had a good game (or not).

I'm not going to down-vote, but I must say that higher ranks, do NOT bully lower ranks. Yes, some high ranks bully low ranks, but it's a coincidence. There are some high ranks that bully, and some low ranks that bully. But it isn't a matter of ranks.

Either way, I found very few people bully in the game.

^Dat comment is false, look at the "noob servers"(Late # EN servers)

On second thought, let's not go there. 'Tis a silly place. ^_^

Not just a liability but it is not usually fun for the low ranking person either.  Granted it must be hard to level up using wasp exclusively given the large level gap between up m1 and m2.  Towards the end you can be easily one shot by thunder without drugs, so your best strategy may actually be to stay stationary and heal a small number of people from cover.  Still it is more efficient to pick levels where you are as close as possible to the high range of the allowed spectrum.  Occasionally you see people who are not mults 7-8 ranks below the maximum, either drugging heavily to keep up or losing terribly.

We kinda get to another point here.

I've heard alot of people(non-buyers) complain about not being able to keep up with the upgrades of buyers and therefore being pulverized by, for example, kits.
