Special New Year map in-game now

Time to experience the thrill of speed with the New Year racing map, which has just been added to the game.

 

The map is intended to be played in CP mode. The only control point is located at the very top of the arena, near a Christmas tree. Two tracks lead to it, but they are riddled with obstacles.

 

The two teams start the match at their respective spawn points, each one located at the start of one of two tracks. The team that reaches the control point first, will have a better opportunity to capture it before the opponent.

 

If a tank is destroyed while fighting for the point, it respawns at the start point. This means that the outcome of a battle will depend not just on how fast you are, but also on how good your combat skills are!

 

If you prefer more traditional types of combat, the new map also supports DM, TDM and CTF modes. Additionally, the game features an improved version of last year’s New Year map!

 

The two arenas are in the game until 2am UTC on January 12. Have a great time!

Nice, well I'll still use Dictator, good thing I have plenty of Nitros on hand.  :)

 

After trying it I'm already bored. Too easy for your opponent to mine your way to the point and the drive to too long. Most of the time you are killed by Railguns before you even get there. Thought the tree does look nice. Last years map was better, much more action and worked for every hull.

 

This map is a joke, you can't even play a 5 min round. I took first kill then "Our team has almost won!" :lol: 

Or if you cap the point first "Our team has almost won!" :lol: :lol: :lol:

Rather dissapointed its only in CP, and its very long to somewhat an extent of slowing down gameplay quite a bit with the controlling team having a pretty decent height advantage.. However I Love the visual appearence though, epic tree ( lights esp ) , and cool skybox. you can see quite a bit of effort was put in, but personally its definitely not a firm favourite of mine.

Sorry, let me correct this. It's the worst map of the game. Lot of Nitro dropping, it's cool. But all the supplies dropping near the only CP of this huge map? Great idea, gameplay seems to be not balanced. And so much camp spot, you can't even spanw on the base, you get killed...

Awesome map! Great piece of work Tanki! And I love the Kremlin and Christmas Tree, like last year!

Somewhat pitty it is only in CP mode, though.

Flag Battles and Death Match should be great in this map, too!
