happy new year map

i looked forward to the return of happy new year map but this 1 is the dumbest ive seen last years was fun too play but i dont see any reason to play it now 1 way up is to easy for the other team to control not good planning on your part an i for 1 do not like control ponit an notice i said singular with control points this map wouldnt be so bad but with its current set up an the hammer being so op with no protection from it this map i just dont see any1 wanting to play its a 1 sided map

Definitely agree with you there. Was probably made to appease the players that for some reason want to turn TO into a racing game. Its the worst when you can't get close to the top because of shafts and rails. Like why? Guess its meant for parkour mode only or something because there is nothing to keep it balanced  This tradition of a new holiday map has been broken, in a sense. Kinda sad.

Agreed. If a team controls the upper place, it becomes impossible to get it back.

I noticed that after one battle.  We got the top and made it impossible for the other team to even climb the hill.  The next round I was on the losing end and it was Picket's Charge.  No chance at all.

 

Hilariously, the very first time I ran it we had a wasp on our team race through the course taking every single supply along the way, leaving nothing for anyone else.  This person got to the top and ran around the christmas tree taking everything as well.  Then he ran over the control point and flipped.  He wins my Moron of the Day award.

That Wasp was most likely an old crystalgrabber. It 's hard to get rid of old habits I guess :D

 

And as ^ crackgold2 says: the old 2013 New Year Map is back!

Played already in it and the only thing I didn 't like that much is that it is much brighter than as it was last year in my recollection.

 

But that was my first New Year Map ever and also the first time I played in "nightmode" so I could be wrong.

 

At least it 's a nice Map, same nice scenery around as the new 2014 Map and this one with good balanced gameplay:
