Name : Hover Tank

A Unique looking tank that can Hover (Float in Mid Air Close to Ground)and will be smooth in Turns and can collect supply and have incredible Push power (A tank which can never be Flipped)

Hovercraft-like hull. The idea has been going around the office for a while. Will most likely be added at some point in the future. Only problem at the moment is that it doesn't fit in with the other hulls, so if this is added, then all other hulls will also need to be unique in very specific ways.

No idea. I don't even know why devs want a hover tank, because to me that just seems weird :D

Wow this idea at first looks farfetch'd but pretty cool and I thought of this before. I think that we should make it so that a shot with lots of recoil causes the tank to move uncontrollably due to the lack of friction(PHySICS) and that will be one of the cons of this awesome looking hull

Wasp -- Damn great speed!

Hornet -- Just like watching tokyo drift!

Hunter -- Not unique!

Viking --realy low, good for parkour!

Dictator -- tall, good for golds!

Titan -- (Addint mammoth to game destroyed hes unique health) Most powerfull hull in the game (Can push anything and anyone)

Mammoth -- Most health and its low so its good for parkour as well. Sometimes even better than viking, because viking isnt too long.

So adding this hull would make it unique so its good in some ways but realy bad at other side.

But whats about falling? Will it increase speed while falling? If it does fall, it will hit the ground. Will it take damage?

(It wont be popular in battles because twins will push you away from hes base werry easy :D)

Cant be flipped? Sounds like some hack to me (that would be too OP for madness)

Well if you fall,those engines should be... incredible strong to stop you from hitting ground. if its supposted to fly, it should be weak to fall damage and should take damage from falling.

I presume this hull would have moderate HP, but it would take a lot of impact force and recoil from other turrets.

It's speed will likely be less than hornet, it would have slow acceleration cuz it doesn't get any friction from the ground (physics).

It's two main advantages I suppose would be that it would be practically impossible to flip, and since it's floating, it will get on top of other tanks easily.

I suppose this hull is gonna be for gold hunters.

Thanks. Yes some adaptation would be required, the amount of rework would depend on the level/height of the water on the map. Low level (20-30 cm high) would need no adaptation, Triton hull will hover over the water while standard tank will have the tracks in the water, but both will be able to collect drop box and compete for gold box. The hover tank can be also disadvantaged on being on the water as an example take a map like Sandbox an filled it with water up to 20-30 cm (half the high of a drop box), the lower level standard tank can hide by the wall will Triton would be 30 cm higher an could be shot at as it's turret will peer out.

For higher water level (i think the prop are 5 meter high, so the water would be like 4,75 meter high), for example take Berlin and filled the river bed with water (looks like there is now a big river is in the middle of the map) up to 20-30 cm before the edge of the river bank, Triton can go over the water and on solid ground, while other tank will have to take the bridge in the middle or take the under water road.  And you're right if a GB happens to be in the river bed, hovercraft tank equipped with Triton's hull would be able to take it before it lands on the river surface and think under, while if it appears under water the hovercraft hull will not be able to reach it (it won't be able to reach any drop box either on the river bed). GB, drop box point area which are under water (level of water more than drop box completely emerged) would have to be take care of in order to re-balance the map.

Imagine also battle node with only hovercraft, the map would have to be suited for that too.

 

Lots of technical question to address for water higher than 20-30 cm high:

Can tank fires under water?...Can freeze works under water too?

Can tank outside water can shoot at tank under water? in vice versa?

Does standard tank will have a limited time allowed under water (with an additional life bar (in bleu) like with Lara Croft game)? or infinite time allowed under water (watch out for camper).

 

There will be some maps rework yes (easier than creating a map from scratch), drop box and gold box rework, fire under water rules life, under water, and more... however it does worth it.

This hull wont be op. Ok it may break speed limit but remember its flying. Thunder and twins can move this hull where they wants it to be.

1- Unecessary ?

 > it's different, not similar to what's existing.You're right hunter, viking and dictator are less necessary (just for us to buy them, Hunter M1 better than Viking M1, and then Viking M2 better than Hunter m2 - same between wasp & hornet hulls).

 

2- angry at DVP

3 - Overpowered?, :

> when you look at the range, each have different advantage over the others:

- Mammoth: strongest shield - can't be budge by other hull

- Wasp: fastest

- Viking: best stability - low height

Only the the middle range are disadvantaged, they just have variation of speed or shield.
