[Issue 31] Design Your Own Tank!

 Share

Recommended Posts

Quick announcement: plagiarism might be an issue here. If you see or suspect that somebody's been copying the work of others, send me a private message with the name of the person, a link to their post, and some proof if you can provide it. I'll go over your report and take action if necessary.

For example, if ExampleUser copied the Siege Tank from Starcraft, you could send me a PM saying "ExampleUser copied his tank from somewhere else, here's his post [link], here's the tank he copied [link to a picture of the Siege Tank]". I would then review ExampleUser's submission and compare it to the Siege Tank. If there's blatant plagarism, I'd disqualify ExampleUser. If it's obvious but not quite blatant, I'd ask him to change his submission.

I'm already patrolling this thread, but there's only so much one person can do, considering how many submissions there are. I'd really appreciate it if you could patrol for plagiarism if you have the time. Thanks!

Reserved, I might be at a disadvantage for hand drawing it. Oh well, last time my stolen drawing from ftf841 won the postcard, so I think I have a shot.

I will try, but there's no way I will win.

1 question though: Does it have to be realistic? Can it be a fast tank with a lot of damage (because that would offset gameplay if a hull like that was added)?

Ok 2 questions: Can we have multiple entries? I have two ideas and both of them are decent.

Ok 2 questions: Can we have multiple entries? I have two ideas and both of them are decent. Pick the one you like better and post that here. If multiple entries were allowed, I'd be buried under a pile of submissions. Sorry.

Geyser - This is a short/mid-range turret. It sprays a very powerful stream of water at it's opponents, thus earning it the name, Geyser.

Water doesn't damage tanks, you say? Well, because of the manually added energy to it's ammunition, Geyser affects it's opponent with impact force, and damage. This turret is suitable with all hulls, but is most commonly suited with medium hulls, especially Starwing.

Just keep in mind, Geyser's powerful jet of energized liquid will have to reload!

Starwing - This medium-sized hull is loved by many, especially... guinea pigs...

Starwing is very unique in that it's front side has many, many plates of armor, while it's back side has very few plates of armor. Because of this, you will want to keep the back side of the Starwing protected, while taking advantage of its robust front side. When used correctly, Starwing can be a very, very tactical hull!

It's original name was "Крыло Ангела", which means "Wing of the Angel". It later developed it's current and most beloved name, Starwing.

Starwing is suitable with all turrets, but many love the appearance and effectiveness of this hull mounted with Geyser.

P.S. I know this doesn't look like a tank at all, but, remember, thekillerpenguin said, "I'm mostly looking for design here".

That's my excuse. :P

y did u use me in your pic

Go here for a larger and higher quality image.

Descriptions:

1. Plasma Cannon:

As the name suggests, plasma cannon fires a volley of super-heated plasma balls in any direction and also causes splash damage. Unlike other guns, it has the capability to rotate it's turret vertically as well. It is perfect for causing mayhem in the enemy base. Slow reloading hampers it's close range capabilities.

2. Falcon:

Just like the bird, falcon is the fastest hull in the game. Powerful vents on the base help it in hovering above the ground, nullifying any friction caused by the ground. It's powerful twin turbojet engines cause it to travel at superfast speeds. However, it's hovering capability makes it susceptible to flips by turrets with high recoil.

Fair enough. I'll do my best, guess I have to get my drawing skills back in shape.
