capture the flag distance

ok so now, as a excellent attacker, i think tanki should decide how much points the people who captured the flag / carried the flag and made a successful capture by distance. lately,i am seeing alot of teammates who are just staying at the flag and defending while some are just staying for the sake of getting the flag. those people just wait for the attackers to come with the flag and when they do, they flip them, or block them so that the opponent can kill the person carrying the flag and the person blocking the person gets the flag and captures. i think its really unfair how those people end up getting the major portion of the capture's points and the person who really did all of the work just gets like alittle. so i say that tanki does it by distance...

 

the distance idea is an idea where the points of capturing the flag is determined by how much distance the person who had the flag has delivered it before getting killed or giving flag away, not by who captured it. so then everyone has a fair way of getting points. this is all i have to say.. tanki can decide if they want to do this idea or not, but this is just one suggestion i have .. thts all

 

BTW the distance is not determined by how long the person held flag, it is how closer he got the flag to the base

So, then, if I pick up the flag and drive back and forth across the map several times I should get millions of points?

no, cuz it is measured on how far u get to the other flag

I'm pretty sure the points distribution system already has something like that incorporated. I do know for sure that the one who caps the flag still gets 50% of all points for that flag, so there's that. How often do you encounter such a problem where defenders constantly flip you to capture the flag? For me maybe once a day I get someone following me asking for a flag and maybe once every few weeks someone who actually shoots me and tries to get the flag I brought. It was never a big problem for me, but you can't do much about it other than use a /vote command or record a video and post in the game violators section. Saboteurs will sabotage...

We can't do much because the devs are not helping. The game should take care of this and detect foul play. It already does that in some case. That needs to be improved a little to handle sabotage, mults, and other nonsense that we currently have to deal with and say, well **** happens, you just need to deal with it!

 

However, calculations of points for multi-stage capture of a flag is pretty complicated. Say you take a longer and safer route and when you pass the flag you are actually father from your flag than the other flag is, do you get negative points? What if someone does circles etc. before he loses the flag and another goes straight and captures is? How do you calculate that? Maybe do piecemeal straight lines (or actual non-straight line distance) to calculate that.
