Greetings, readers! Here is the third edition of Ask the Community - I've slightly increased the amount of people I've spoken to and I've asked them a different question!

This question of this month's issue is:

What's your favourite map?

@Theawesomecooldude: My favorite map has always been polygon. It has very balanced death match gameplay and it is very common in the battle list. I have been playing it for as long as I remember playing this game.

: Well, my favourite map has to be Rio. Not because of the beach, and the ocean, but because of the gameplay there. Both teams are good to be on, and there is an even chance of taking each others flags and capturing. There aren't any disadvantages such as in Noise, where you could take reds flag, jump off and capture it.

: At my rank, Polygon for sure. It is the exact right size and shape... good for long range combat, short range combat, and everything in between. It also seems to drop more gold boxes than any other map. Both sides of the map (I mean the north side and the south side, not red team or blue team) are very balanced. Out of all my gold boxes, 90% have been in polygons. This map is good for DM, CP, or TDM, although CTF can be a bit weird.

@Dark-Rim: I like silence and noise for their dynamic gameplay, but my favorite would be silence. I feel in this map teamwork is neccesary due to the fact that its considerably harder to capture a flag or defend on your own than it is on any other map, due to the ramps and many different paths to choose from. Silence has changed since a few years, being merged with silence 2, but its still the map i like the most.

@fighter309: It's a tough one, but I have to say Polygon is my favourite map. It is a very fun map for hunting gold boxes, which I take for sport, as there are many gold drop zones. In fact, a lot of them require skill such as the ones in the centre or on the heights of the map. Basically it gives you a chance to develop and use your gold hunting skills. Other than that, it is very fun in CP mode as there is one big point that we need to capture. There are many ways to protect that point, which is why I believe that it is so much fun.

@ATLADTR: I like Red Alert because I love playing in XP matches and is not symmetrical like other maps, yet still seems to be quite fair for both sides.

@metalcrusher: It's such a hard decision because you can't just have 1 favorite map, there's so many good ones. My most favorite maps are Polygon, Noise, and Sandbox. Noise is a classic map that I have played since the beginning, I have played Noise since I joined tanki and played it with my friends all the time, its my favorite CTF map. Polygon is my favorite DM map because, well everyone plays it, its popular, and is also a classic map. Sandbox is another favorite because I always play XP there. XP is good way to play if you get bored of typical CTF DM CP battles. Its so simple, but its fun to play at.

@jazz20: Wow this is a really tough decision. If I had to choose one map to be my favorite, it would probably be Noise. The reason being is because of its structure. The idea of having each teams' base be located on completely different levels has always fascinated me. Of course, each side has their own unique advantages, which adds more fun to the game. When it comes to catching gold boxes, Noise is relatively simple and interestingly equal for both sides thanks to the new drop-zone updates. It comes down to timing your approach after all, it's really you against every other player in the game. It always feels good when you strike it rich!

@doughnut2100: Tough one, indeed. I would have to go with the good old Sandbox. I have enjoyed playing in various maps in the past, such as Polygon, but Sandbox is definitely a classic. Especially since most of what I play now-a-days are XPs. Intense CTF battles can happen here, and they usually do for me. You have the 4 little ramps that lead to the center, and then the small house on one side. Sure it's small, but I never seem to get bored of it.

: 1 – ping-pong; Its small, can be dominated really fast and easy by a fire bird or a thunder at any of the available modes, but, I personally like to go there with my MUed shaft, hunt poor people who come with wasp and hornet or even viking and hunter. Its so fun playing and even taking golds in Ping when people say: “WoW! this noob actually comes to Ping-Pong with shaft”

2 – polygon; of all it modes,I like the CP mode, its a medium map with decent spawning points and a good point for the point, can get a lot of crys from PCP if you win and if you dont win, youll get a nice amount of xp and I like golds there

@SportsKing700: In my opinion, Monte Carlo is my favorite map because the whole map is really a sniping map and I use railgun all the time, so it shows off my skill with railgun. Also, i am a big fan of Tribute because of it being in StarLadder, so we train there all the time and that I love playing XP there. The map seems to be fair for both sides which I like when each team has the same amount of advantage.

@Shaloo7: The truth is that I've not played in each and every map of the game, but from the ones I have played in - NO, not Polygon, I have to say Rio is my favourite map. Well yes, there are less Rio battles now-a-days because of some reasons but let's be honest at the pros first - Rio supports an excellent structure. It has been designed perfectly regarding the obstacles in the map, the structure of the map, the effects and extra things. The places which include the flags, the sniping points, the fun of course, all this makes Rio such a fun and unique map from the others. On the other side, the map consists of perfect drop zones of Gold Box which are great and each player can have a chance to get one. The supplies' drop zones are pretty nice locations as well. Over to the background now. Really nice background of the map, beautiful sea, nice sunlight and after effects Some might lag there due to the map being heavy, but that comes in cons. With full graphics, the environment looks very friendly. Overall - Fun, exciting and intense battles with a happy environment in this map!

@killen0: To say I really was thinking for hours to answer your hard question... But then finally understood that I only have one map that is my favourite, that's Serpuhov. Its a map that I personally loved since I came to Tanki Online. I always had something to do on the map from either: Attacking, mid fielding or defending. Its a map for all hands and for any Turrets and Hulls  . Goldboxes: There are total of 4 places were Goldbox falls in Serpuhov from what I've seem. Its really interesting that its all balanced cause there are two at the red base and two at the blue base.

@greyat: Polygon; I usually do the CP mode, as the fund increases fairly rapidly, leading to larger rewards.

Wave: Not particularly aesthetically pleasing, but it brings back fond memories of a time, a battle, where I ranked to major, caught a gold box, and received the largest reward up to that time.

@aBdUlLaHkInGg: I personally like sandbox,I mostly like to play in it because it is not too much big and not too much small. It provide us with a good climate and graphics affect and is perfect for a flag mode and one more reason for liking it is that mostly players play xp in sandbox which I love alot,so,it is best for playing xp also. There are hurdles in it which give it a nice look and also used for tactics.

@Dr.Urbi: Highland; it all started when I got thunder M2. Most highlands at high ranks are TDMs and since I was really bad at kill-stealing (this was before the new update that allows you to get points without destroying in CTFs and CPs) me and my Thunder really ''rocked'' in TDMs. I was always first and had way better D/L than other tankers. In Highland you can use pretty much any weapon, it's relief allows you to play with anything. You can either attack with Firebird or defend with Thunder. And if you feel like camping, Shaft also does good job in Highland. This makes battles more intense since a normal tanker can't possibly have a paint protecting you from every danger in this map. Also dare to put any hull under your turret! I've used every hull here- from Mammoth to Wasp, it all works fine. Map itself is also very balanced. Both teams have their camping spots, both have a hill on their side, both a wall for hiding. However, red side has 4 entrances, while blue has only 3. That may be a disadvantage in TDMs, but in CTFs its fair, because red side have their flag better protected. If you will ever decide to play this map, It's good to bring a friend with you. Red team has a big hill which is parkourable. Tell your friend to make you a ramp with his hull near an already existing ramp, simply drive onto him and then onto the second floor. This is a great camping spot for both teams, as you can simply lean and shoot everyone below you. Highland is at the momment popular at lower ranks and then it slowly fades away with every higher rank you obtain. In the good old times, before the rebalance in december 2012 It was as popular as Silence! Since then, it started getting less and less popular. Its sad to see such a strategic and beautiful map slowly fading away. This year might be the last year of its existance, so grab your chance and play it till the end.

: My favorite map is by far Polygon. What I like about it, it's that there you can play any gamemode, with any turret and hull. The map supports campers as well as short ranges. Having many camping spots supporting long range turrets such as railgun and shaft, it has the middle area for short range turrets such as freeze and hammer. It supports all turrets, and all gamemodes. Here a little review by me wink.png

DM - Oh well, we all know the classy Polygon DM. Even if it's hard to find one now.

TDM - Even if they are pretty rare, I can guarantee you that a Polygon TDM is all exciting and fun.

CTF - Even if it was better before the flags got reversed, it's still a fun to play gamemode.

CP- Do I have to tell something about this? Polygon CP is by far the most played map for CP. An excellent source of crystals and xps!  I even tried Polygon CP XP/BP, it's a fun madness!

My opinion:  I have my top three, as seen in the Map Awards, but my opinion has changed since then - as opposed to just Chernobyl, I now think they're all tied in regards to my favourites.
