New Supply: Flashbang Mine

i just thought of something... what if people have seizeres? this would be hell for them. they got the game so that there minimal seizeres.

The white screen wouldn't be very bright, the whole point is to block your vision of the battle for around 2 seconds.

I would say just make your vision blurry like a fly's eye.

I mean after the flash. then your eyes would be scaly and you still could not see clearly. The scales would only last one second.

Oh, so you are suggesting a fade-out effect?

Yes. After you put a lens in smoke the camera is blurry after you put a tank in smoke its vision would be blurry.

Would a different effect of detonation work for the mine? We need ideas, so please don't hesitate to give feedback! :D

*Bump*

Effect like the animation or effect like the capabilities?

Giving Shaft a unique feature that it does not need.

What is it just had to take a certain amount of damage, and then auto-detonate with the capabilities of the detonation cut in half (and maybe no damage), sending the owner a message in the main message bar. (Where they write about the gold box drops and stuff.)

You might want it to be targeted with low priority.  e.x. If there is a tank nearby and you are using rail, you will hit the tank first, and then hit the mine when there is no one in line of your shot.  This way, shaft would not be the only one that could target them, just the only one that could target them as a priority, and then only in sniping mode, when the user controls it.

P.S. I have a question:  What if several of these were detonated at about the same time?  Would the effects stack up?

Animation.

A White flash is not the only option. ;)

No, the effect would never go above 2-3 seconds. However, if you detonated one, then detonated another one 2 seconds later, then the effect clock would "reset" in a way.

I have an idea: What if the flashbang would do more damage and stun longer if you detonate it right underneath a tank, instead of a ways off.

I also think the mine might be used more strategically if it had a consistant blast radius. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that you said it would have varying blast radius.)

And for animations, the mine could light a small flame for 1 or 1/2 of a second, then rapidly get brighter.  I also like the idea of a fade-in after the blast is done. (Which was already mentioned.)  Also the mine could look (within seeing distance, of course) like a small flare on top of a mine.

Another idea: Maybe the flashbang could slightly slow down tanks as well, which would make it more effective if you're running from a mob in a straight line.

No, the effect is the same no matter how it hits. The point is to avoid it altogether.

When I say random, the variation isn't that much.

Ok, but I still think it would make more sense (and be closer to real life situations) if it did the most to the people that were closest.

Could you tell me what you think about these?

In my head, it would just look like a small white flash at the FlashBang's location, then your screen in whited out for 2-3 seconds.

Could you give a picture example?

Not really necessary if you can't see anything anyway, you might just stop momentarily instinctively. :P

Pretty cool idea but I think there should be amoke instead of a white flash and you ahould call it a smoke bomb.

Secondly it should be disabled when the gold box falls. It ahould not totally impair the vision of a tanker in its radius but instead blur his screen with small fragments, ash and smoke. To compensate for this it should have minor damage, a alightly higher range, time of around 3 seconds and of course the remote detonation is already a plus point.

Edit: Also its smoke should be visible from a considerable diatance away.
