First of all, we don't know if this will actually cause lag, so don't use that argument to criticise an idea.

 

Second, this is about blinding the player that controls the tank, not the actual tank. I can see this being implemented as a sort of visual effect that turns enemy players' screens white for a moment and allows the player to make a surprise maneuver.

I felt sorry for you to learn that your tank doesn't have eyes, I hope it is not brainless too.

 

Regarding your pertinent question about your team mate, not sure you would understand my proposal, but let's assume you would.

Let's say that when you drop a flashbang grenade you let know your team so they can close their eyes in time in order to avoid the flashbang effect. Don't take this literally and don't expect it to happen in the game, just assume that for simplification of the gameplay it happens automatically so your team can benefit from your action even if you don't tel them you dropped a big one. The same way as your mine explode only enemy tank and not the tank from your own team when they drive over it. This is a game with rules and specifics parameters to make it a playable experience, this is not the real life.

Just for you (and someone else i will not named) I have created the following topic: Name one thing that creates lag on TO.

This would now fall under rule #6, i trust you (beta tester of Tanki X) will follow this very important rule and post there when you have the need to complain about lag.

Yeah, I agree. If this ever gets implemented it will need to be like a smoke screen that gradually obstructs your vision, because constantly seeing bright flashes will definitely be causing some seizures...

Yes, Lelouch, it's a fair comment, especially if you play on the summer night theme map, the effect would be even worth for the player eyes if flash and brightness is not taking into account during dvp. I guess it is up to the programmer and tester to find the right effect not too blindly/flashy. The purpose of the mine is to blind the view of the tank not to hurt the eyes of player. This is why I proposed something blueish/reddish and greenish not brite white.

The problem with this forum/topic is that it's not clear who or if we can summarize all the useful comments, as the topic developed. I didn't created this topic, therefore I cannot update the first post with good comments and thoses would be lost in the flow between the genuine post and the trolls posts.

There is pro battle option "Friendly fire" or it got removed. idk... long time ago it was in standart battles.

Well it was there back in 2010 when tere was no pro pass. everyone used it.
