Rollback Update 298!

If I am correct, in Update 298, the update which was entitled 'The Updated Battle List is Live!' caused a lot of grief--so much that it garnered a -276 reputation alone (I write this because I intended to downvote, not upvote). We had a lot of intelligent ideas, most summed up by this post by @trombone_ftw:

• Battle info will now include battle mode, map name, battle duration, and time left till the end of the round. All the info is now in the same place.
• Battles are now grouped by battle mode, then sorted by duration. You will only see battles available at your rank. Those with open spots will be highlighted. If you have a PRO battle pass, PRO battles will be at the very top of your list.
• Private battle creation, and PRO-battles access, are now exclusively PRO battle pass features. This solution keeps the customizability for hardcore tankers, while keeping the accessible, arcade feel for gamers who only want to play for fun.
• We have removed custom battle names as these were often distracting and misleading, and sometimes even contained inappropriate language.
• We have narrowed the rank limits in battles for tankers of lower and middle ranks. Now they will face opponents of their same weight category more often.

 

• This info was already able to view if you wanted to.
• Actually good.
• NO. What is wrong with you?! "The changes made are largely based on your feedback." <-- That is a lie then! We were ALL against this, yes you still implemented it?! What about rank up parties, parkour, and maybe you just want to join one PRO battle with your friend? BAD IDEA, why did you not listen to us?
• Again, NO. You just ruined the XP/BP Community, you do realize this? Also, who cares about "distracting and misleading" battle names? Those added some fun to the game.
• There was already an option available for this!! Again, killing XP/BP and private battles, parkour, rank up parties.

You claim to listen to your players. Well, today, you have completely disregarded our feedback.

 

 

Private battles were honestly all that was keeping me in this game for the past month or so... well that's gone now! Even tho I have a PRO pass, my parkour team and my friends DON'T. So making one is useless. Guess I'll just XP until Christmas for M2 Wasp... Oh wait! I can't do that either!

 

Note: YES, I was once a potential buyer. Not anymore.

You just killed parkour, rank ups, mine hunts, and other fun things that were keeping me in this game.

I literally have no more motivation to play... I wanted M2 Wasp but my parkour team that i have worked so hard on will not be able to meet due to this utterly stupid decision to limit private battles. If I can't use my M2 Wasp to parkour, it's not worth it to rank by Christmas. If it's not worth it to rank by Christmas, I might as well leave now!

 

I can't believe this, but this might just be farewell. Tanki is becoming a last resort in times of insane boredom...

 

 

This post got a reputation totalling 114--however, the 390 difference in reputation seemed to mean little, and somehow no action was taken on it. I agree with @trombone_ftw's points, with a few alterations.

 

• I see nothing wrong with this. A good way to see more information.
• In hindsight, we can see this has slightly changed with the battle mode filters back at the bottom. The map and time criteria in sorting is good too. But do just put a PRO filter on the bottom!
• Firstly, I don't see why you had to remove the ability to pay for a one-off PRO battle; there is no point in that and it just means we have to pay more. Also, let me see how your reasoning actually works--I'm going to put a poll up asking whether it is only hardcore players using the previously free private battle feature.
• It seems that you've just removed a fun feature. I liked the battle names, if they have inappropriate language filter it and keep a record of who made the battle. PS--can I see some moderators educating the offenders please? As you have promised?
• Well, you could just set default limits as smaller but allow it to be customised, this would solve the problem.

Well, you can see mine are similar to @trombone_ftw's points. Why don't you make your own ones of these below? Spread the word to tankers not on the forum, let us make our opinions matter! This isn't over, and it won't be until we get our way.

I don't really mind if private battles are PRO, becauee I always have a pass.

 

but, let's think on the majority of players, that does NOT have a PRO pass. I wish private battles were free again, so I can make a rank up party without mults joining, or making my friends pay 5000 crystals.

Devs are hungry for $$$$$$$$. If you look at any of the posts about bringing back free private battles, everybody is in favor. If Devs want to prove that they'll listen to players, now is the time......

This should be in Ideas and Suggestions. Unfortunately, it is against the Ideas and Suggestions Rules to create and idea reguarding the removal of updates.
