Height self-destruct zone?

Ok I understand that there would be a self-destruct zone for players who go into off-limit grounds in the game, such as those seen in polygon and silence, but is it really necessary to make someone self-destruct when they jump too high into the air from a ramp platform in the arena??

People don't jump too high. It is perfectly fine to go high in the air, as unless you're parkouring, it's not easy to go high up when simply jumping off a ramp. Although, it would be a good way of stopping fly hackers!

I can understand the part about stopping fly hackers but it does get a bit annoying when doing parkour. Me and my group were trying to reach a building in 2042 and when we were at the right height to land on the building, we were always stopped by that self-destruct zone :/ .

As PK said, the self-destruct zones above the map are there to prevent flying cheats. I know that they can be quite annoying during parkour, but in a PRO parkour mode battle those self-destruct zones are removed and you can jump up as high as you want (as far as I know). It shouldn't be possible to jump into the self-destruct zone on your own during a normal battle as the zones are quite high above the typical jumping height of a tank from a ramp.

 

Yes, 2042 is one of the maps where those zones really get in the way.

I have only hit a height SD zone 1ce I think. It is annoying sometimes but they are placed high enough so we miss them but the fly hackers don't! :P

Yes, private battles and parkour format can only be accessed with a PRO battle pass.
