1st off: you did great and congratulations.

 

Sadly no, for the real job there's way more things that come into play, 1 of them being age and I don't think you meet them yet.  But don't let that put you down, if you enjoyed commentating, there's lots of other place where you can shine.  There are quite a few people making interesting videos all around and looking for people to commentate on them, so if you like that, go for it ;)

 

Can you please send me the requirements for the job? Most people think I am under my age but in reality I am 14. Thanks for your other advice!

there is one explanation for this that i could come up with .... if you pick as winners a guy who doesnt know what a wasp look like and keep saying that annoying HAHA and a guy that talks too fassett that we cannot understand anything and a little 14 years old kid that didnt even know when was the battle started and he didnt talk about drop boxes and he used some very bad words to describe what was happening .... THEN this only means that you don't want people that are able to be commentators to win and take your places because there is no way that one of those winners can be a commentators especially that kid and btw i have total freedom to say what i want because you had the total freedom to judge and pick the winners so thats it . and keep in mind if unworthy people keep winning contests while there are some amazing people that didnt even get anything then tanki will lose so much players and im on top of them .

I think anyone with a brain can agree that 3rd place was awful

 

1) Didn't mention drop boxes

2) thought they'd started before 10:00 minutes

Man you so pro, we should give you a prize and hire you for the real job immediately even if you didn't take part in this contest.  Reason for that being you're the only person among all 60 participants who pointed out

 

 

gangstachel's incredible beast team-play from the moment he spawned while eguards was capping, he took that DP, took a smoky shot from holy_hero, but hid on the ramp evading spravochnik's long shot, then rises up and puts down both spravochnik and choodofire in an awesome inclined-angled well timed double-shot, wiping the entire defense of eguards at that particular instant, thus opening the way for UDJIK to grab the flag, and without wasting a single split-second jumps down to rush towards the flagman, but at the same time knowing holy_hero's gonna be on his back, and so immediately turns around, driving backwards under hot fire from holy_hero and successfully dispatching him while having already come as far up on the field to meet with his team mate who's then only beginning to exit the enemy base on low health and who's not gonna fare long losing the flag just a few metres in front of gangstachel who's already following behind, picks up the flag just under KOT-9's nose and dispatching him as well with an incredible shot lighted just a few milliseconds before the latter did, and keeps on running towards his base, only to lose it just under PARD who then has the much easier job of relaying up the flag through the final few metres, swapping with jan007 who completes the capture.

 

 

Oh wait !!  you did not point that out, nor any other "pro" thing a pro would have noticed in a video that's been up there for more than 2 weeks + needless to say since that game was played, and I don't even recall seeing any single entry made by you for this contest  :huh:

 

Fact of the matter is none of us here are pros, not the contestants, not the judges, definitely not myself, and absolutely not you !  So next time please be a little more considerate before machine-gunning out those criticisms against people who at least made an effort

Tbh, in my opinion whoever chose the winning commentator contest should be fired from their job, I mean the commentating was horrendous, not saying I could do better but there were many better ones such as Arabiannoble's commentating, his was clear and straightforward not to mention his voice  is perfect for it.

i cant believe how serious you are ... dude that kid didn't even know when the match has started ... and the PROBLEM AGAIN IS not the fact that he has won its the fact that there are soo many other players who definitely didn't make the mistakes that he made and that definitely did make a very obvious effort and they really commentate better than him so just tell us what made you choose that kid as a winner ... we all wanna know how you picked him and not someone who deserve it

It is possible to criticize every single entry and make it seem as though it is "unworthy".

I already had a reply with critique regarding the entry of Arabiannoble, but I am afraid it may offend him.

Fact is that it's very easy to criticize each entry, there are disadvantages and drawbacks as there are advantages and benefits in each one. No one is perfect.

Sami(arabiannobles) is a very open minded person and willing to take any advice, providing that it is said properly in a constructive manner. He is very relaxed and im sure anything you have to say about how you think he could have improved his video would not be frowned upon by him.

You talk about other players videos like yours is all that great. You choked up mutiple times within the first few minutes of your entry and did you mention players names and what tanks they were using at the start of your video? No. Not to mention you also clearly scripted what you were going to say because you must have remade your entry several times, causing you to have a monotone voice throughout your WHOLE video.

I am indeed open to criticism, but at this point it my not be too useful in a public forum.  I suggest PMing me so there isn't continued flame wars.

 

I intentionally did not mention the name of the players in the battle because I assumed you could read.  That was no neglect of mine.

Thank you DS. Yes, there are other variables that come into play.

 

Once the completed application is submittted, it is reviewed. (actually scutinized is a better word) > at this juncture, I should warn all of those from the UK that "scrutinised" is not in my american vocabulary<

 

But assuming potential applicants, have a good grasp of the game mechanics, equipment, etc. the final decision on whether or not an applicant will be selected or not, is not up to the people reading the application.

 

While many of you may find this surprising, the final decision is made by the players themselves, by thier personal  behavior on the forum and in the game. aka Karma.

 

If a player is habitually getting banned for breaking the rules, they have no chance of getting a staff job
