So, before I begin let me preface this by telling you why I came up with this idea. I currently am trying to decide between a Thunder M1 or a Striker M1, and definitely do not want to waste crystals on something that I'm never going to or can't use.

Anyways, my idea is about a way to test equipment before buying it. At first I was thinking about a gamemode, but maybe it could be a garage integration or a server itself. Anywho, I was thinking about something along these lines:

—Players can choose anything in the garage available at there rank for the test, which is why a garage integration would work.

—Checkmark on equipment detail screen, allowing you to choose if you are going to test it or not, or an option in the garage itself allowing you to switch between main and test garages.

—Options allowing you to choose your enemies' exact tank, and how many, which would work well for the gamemode version.

—AIs, like in the tutorial. Nothing smart, but an option to have them attack or not.

—Maybe gamemode simulations with AIs like DM, TDM or parkour, which pretty much covers everything that you could use the equipment for.

—Maybe a small crystal charge per session. For instance, 200 crystals for someone around my rank, Third Lieutenant.

This would help a lot, but I also understand how it could take some challange out of the game, being as how it's part of the game saving up crystals to find out how a weapon works. But it would help for someone not low ranking who doesn't have the option to just buy a new turret or hull at a cheap price. Crystals are valuable for mid rankers like me. So another variation of this idea could be the things listed above, but with equipment being limited to something new, like for instance, Striker.

So, in conclusion, just a thought. But I know this would be a well received feature to the general player populus.

For the first time in I&S I'm changing the status from [completed] back to [under review], since test drives were removed from the game sometime around summer 2016, while the idea itself is still definitely relevant. It's possible that test drives will be implemented again in the future as a completely different and much more convenient feature (similar to alterations, which can already be rented now). We'll see what happens.

Is it that I don't remember or were test drives never announced that they were removed?

True. I only found out about it from Hazel's reply somewhere (forum or skype) and he said that they kinda stopped working properly so barely anyone was getting them anyway and then removed from the game completely.

When you press the test button, you get sent to the tutorial, but instead of the usual one shot things thing in the tutorial, you need to shoot the target the actual amount of times to kill it,plus AI will be better and more powerful and more player like and you will have only one gun and hull in the battle, and NO Repair kits, only speed boost and Dd and da,also instead of staying in one place the AI will move.and if your testing m1s AI will be m1,same for all ms.

How do you like my version???

We dont need a separate tutorial for each weapon, if they didnt understand the first time they wont understand it again. It would just bother people that dont need them. Besides, it would be too hard since the average player has 1/10 the skill of the AI.

I was talking about test drives,I don't mean that when u enter the game for the first time all turrets and hulls get a special separate tutorial,I mean that there will be a new button on things you haven't bought that sends you to what I talked about earlier

And which would be the possitive objetive of this idea?

for example, you want railgun m3,but your not sure if it's worth the crystals or whether you should save up for shaft,so,next to the buy button, there will be a "test item" button, when you press that you get sent to the tutorial with whatever gun/hull you want to test with Viking,or if your testing a hull you get smoky as the gun,if you want you can choose both the hull and turret, this way people will know if what there saving for is worth the hassle,(the AI will be improved, you will choose and play on a real existing map,not on the tutorial map and you can't one shot or two shot thing,it takes the actual amount of shots required to destroy a Specific tank to destroy the AI in this test drive but if you your testing shaft m1 and the enemy is wasp m1 you still can one shot the wasp) btw if your testing and m1 turret or hull, the enemy equipment will also be m1 (same for all modifications)

Thanks for the explication. Test drives were removed from the game due to some issues, and I think an idea like that couldn't be implemented either.

Players are aware about which equipment they'll buy. The prices for M0 turrets and hulls, are really low, and every player can acquire all of them. Once the player decide which turret/hull is better for his/her game style, he/she can follow buying the next modifications (M1, M2, M3). I think this idea is no necessary.

Hello guys i have a idea of using of next m level means if u have m0 you can use any gun for 1 time and it will be next level of m0 means u will use m1 gun but for only a match . I think guys u do not got this. I am explaining 1 more time.

Next m level using :  If u have m0 u can use m1 gun but for only one match . If i am having m0 twins then i can use m1 twins for 1 match only. And this can use only one time in per day. Only one turret and only one hull.

And there is a level to use which next level or buyers start using m3 in wo5 :( <_<

So from Staff Sergeant u can use m1 any gun

So from Warrant officer 3 u can use m2 gun

So from Colonel u can use any m3 gun

1) U can use once only a next m level gun and next m level

Manager do not start m3 from wo1 or all will start making me more noob :D

When your not in a battle and you want to know how your equipment will look in combat in the garage there could be a test mode and you can drive around the garage and a little extension outside of the garage... instead of joining and notice u dont have the best equipment ... not good idea but meh
