Parkour minigames

In this topic I list all the parkour minigames I know. If you play parkour minigames that aren't listed here, please reply and describe the minigame in detail and list all the rules. Before suggesting a minigame, play the minigame yourself to make sure it works well and fun to play. Also make sure it doesn't appear in the rejected minigames list.


 

Parkour Race

There are many versions of this minigame. Some of them are with teams, some of them are only OMP, some include special rules like equipment limitations, and so on.

The main idea is to climb the most places in the shortest time or conquer a map as fast as you can.

A list of the most popular rules: (you can choose any combination of these rules)

  • Team size: most times it is one or two players, but playing with bigger teams is fun too.
  • Round ending: conquer the chosen map first, or climb as many places as you can in a time limit (usually 5 to 15 minutes). Sometimes two or more players have a solo competition of climbing only one place as fast as they can.
  • Successful landing (normal) or mines (easy): Some players like simply leaving mines on as many places as they can without having to successfully land on them.
  • Same or separate battle: Choose whether you want each team to go to a separate battle.
  • Peaceful climbing or fighting: Some players like playing when they can try to fail their enemies by shooting them.
  • Mines parkour race: in this version one team is leaving mines on random places in the map, then the other team should make all these mines explode faster than the time it took to the first team to plant these mines. The second team must know where all the mines are from the beginning. If all the mines exploded in time, the second team wins. Otherwise the team that planed the mines wins.
  • Equipment limitations: Not allow using some of the best parkour equipment, or allow using only one or two combinations.
  • Flag: some players like marking the player that should get up with the flag, so only if the player with the flag reaches the destination it counts as a success. It is not allowed to pass the flag to somebody else.

Usually a spectator or one of each team's members record a video to show what they climbed and to prove it's been done in time.

 

Parkour Mine Hunt

Someone leaves a few mines that can be reached only with parkour. Then players have to explode as many mines as they can before all the mines are found or the time runs out. You can choose the amount of mines and players in the game.

Rules:

  • Team size: you can decide whether each player is alone or how many players can be in each team.
  • Fighting: in solo parkour mine hunt many players like fighting for the mines. Choose whether it is allowed to kill each other or not.
  • Time limit: Choose whether you want to add a time limit to the game or to play with no time limit and just wait till all the mines explode.
  • The player or team who exploded the most mines win.

Don't forget to hide the player who left the mines in a safe place so players won't kill him by mistake (or in purpose).

 

Flip Fight

Every player needs to flip as many players as he can without getting flipped himself. The victory is determined by the deaths - the player that got flipped less times wins. You can play this game in rounds with time limit, or just have a long game till you don't wanna play anymore. Many players like playing this game without looking at the score and without having winners and losers, just enjoy the game without trying to win.

Rules:

  • Equipment: The only hull allowed in this minigame is Wasp as it is easy to flip and throw around. Every weapon is allowed except for Shaft and Twins (because they are too OP in this game). There is another version: "XP flip fight", in which everyone use Hornet and Railgun, sometimes Hammer is allowed there too.
  • All players are in the same team so nobody takes damage.
  • If you get flipped, no matter whether you are upside down or on your side, if you can't flip back in 5 seconds (for whatever reason, if you are too far from the edge, or too close to the wall, or other player is holding you when you're on your side...) you must self destruct.
  • No sticking to walls to not get flipped. You are allowed to hit the walls sometimes to defend yourself when someone is shooting you, but you are not allowed to camp there. Stopping and standing in a safe place where a wall or something else is preventing you from getting flipped isn't allowed.
  • If you make a player fall off the map and die it still counts like you flipped him.

There is another version of this game called "flag flip fight". In this version, everyone should unite to flip the player that holds the flag.

Additional rules for this version:

  • Don't flip anyone except for the player that holds the flag. If you hold the flag you need to flip everyone.
  • When you get flipped and fail flipping back in 5 seconds, you must leave the flag (press F) and let someone else take it.
  • Anyone can pick up the flag regardless of who flipped the player that had the flag before.

For those who think this minigame isn't related to parkour: This minigame is related to stunts and controlling your tank's motion when other players shoot you to make sure you will land on your wheels (a useful skill in far/high jumps) and controlling other tank's motion.

 

Travelling

This minigame is about jumping on buildings and travelling as far as you can or reaching all buildings, without touching the ground even once. You can do it alone (though its almost impossible in most maps) or with any number of friends. Choose an object to start from, get up there with your whole team and start jumping from one place to another without touching the ground.

Rules:

  • No touching the ground after you got up to your starting position.
  • Anyone who falls down to the ground or dies is out, he can't come back nor help in any other way.
  • You can't get help from anyone who stands on the ground.

Rejected minigames

Before suggesting a minigame, make sure it doesn't appear in this list!

 

 

Every team is placing mines around the flag. The goal is to reach the enemy flag without touching these mines.

Reason of rejection: Bad gameplay, impossible to reach the flag this way in most maps, and when it is possible its enough to have one player defending to shoot off whoever tries to get the flag.

There is a mine war too ... 

 

Every team is puting mines around thier flag and the enemies need to get it ... The first team to get the flag is the winner

This is not a parkour minigame.

Please explain the minigame more clearly, from what you said it looks like just defending a flag with mines. How is parkour involved in it?

because you have no chance in just driving into the flag you must to go on a building and jump from it on thier base or with team mates .. (  You can't go on your team mate tank and then he died and you're on thier base  ...

I will try playing it and will see if there is a good gameplay.

@delnina2, I tested the gameplay of the minigame you suggested. In most maps the flag is in an open area too far away from buildings, and it is impossible to use mines because the players are divided to 2 teams by the color of their team.

If the players are divided by teams differently (half red and half blue in each team), not all players can pick up the enemy flag and the spawn locations really mess the game up. Additionally players get confused and don't always remember who's in their team and who's the enemy, and not always can fight the enemy.

 

Next time please don't suggest minigames you didn't play yourself nor watched others playing, you have to make sure the minigame works and its fun to play.

wts the purpose of this topic anyway?

To explain the minigames so players can read about them and then play these minigames, or share their own parkour minigames. You can also discuss these minigames if you want, but the main purpose of this topic is to show these minigames to players that don't know them.
