Tanki Online - Caring

Recommended Posts

So you believe the reason a 'full drugging mode' was introduced, derived purely from the developers will to make more money (or as some may claim, greed)? That's preposterous realistic.

Not sure where you were when they implemented the Smart Cooldowns, but you missed a ton of ridicule by a vast majority of players on that update. As you can see here, this update which ushered in the end of "druggers", was widely despised; even the topic that informed us of the testing for the update, was scorned! Is it not obvious that players detested the end of their "drugging"?

To cater to the masses and please their complaints, the developers then introduced the option to turn smart supplies off for a match, specifically enabled in Pro matches. So tell me this, if developers don't do what the players ask/complain for, then why did they reintroduce a special mode in which we can once again "go full drugging"?  -_-

It's obvious, Zola. Tanki has been effectively forcing more people to buy PRO passes, and it's because they want money, not because they care about what we think.

  1. "Buffed" PRO battles, nerfed regular battles, tried to hide it with their pointless Battle List update. Made private battles PRO only, and they didn't listen to our hundreds of complaints about that once. This pretty much forced all parkourists and Cybersports tankers to buy PRO passes to continue..
  2. Removal of 500 crystal payment option to join PRO battles. Now you have to pay 5000 crystals, even if you only want to join one clan battle or something.
  3. Put drug battles in PRO battles. Excellent planning... make the buyers miss their drugs, then trick them into thinking you're listening by adding them to PRO battles, when really you're just making them pay more
  4. Parkour Mode in PRO battles only... ridiculous. You have to pay 5000 crystals a month, to do something that now won't get you any EXP and absolutely no crystals?? It was so much better for the players when there were free, nameable private battles, but Tanki is greedy, and forced us to pay more and earn less. And the only special thing about it is the quick mine laying. They don't care about any of the other ideas we parkourists have about it, they just want to make us pay. Literally.

Okay so let's see.

The main groups you refer to are whom, CS clan members and 'parkourists'? Pulling back some of my old knowledge of clans (when I was in one), I believe most clans required their members to be able to purchase a Pro pass for clan matches. Now with StarLadder, more emphasis is placed on standardized clan battles with XP format; which shouldn't make too much of a difference for SERIOUS clans and their members that already used Pro passes for XP format clan wars.

If 'buyers' can already afford to purchase thousands upon thousands of supplies, I'm sure a measly 5K crystal a month is nothing to them. Plus, that 5K crystal should easily be earned back by the buyer, since most battles that have Smart Cooldowns disabled (which druggers join) often have the battle fund ranging in the thousands... occasionally tens of thousands given the length of the match. To Tanki, whatever money they earn from crystal bought for Pro passes, is meaningless when compared to the amounts they earn from 'buyers' purchasing crystal for supplies.

Although, I have to admit the last part is the most difficult to defend. The only reasonable answer I can give is that the Parkour mode was created for players who mean business. (e.g. parkour groups, clans, or whatever they call them) If you wish to 'parkour' and not just screw around, then buying this Pro pass metaphorically represents your dedication to this aspect of the game.

But it is very much an issue for beginning/not-so-serious clans and parkour clubs. As a leader of a parkour club, I can promise you that this has made it harder for us to meet. And this is a game... games are played to have fun, not be super serious.

Fair point.

Then what about all the parkour "noobs" who could have become the next TFP some day? They'll never get a chance, because 5000 crystals to them is a lot, and they get nothing in return. Before this update, you would still earn some crystals and EXP, but now you have to again pay more and receive less. This is a major turn off for aspiring parkourists, and it even makes it more difficult more serious (but not yet "pro") parkourists like me. Not to mention, we have to use drugs for nearly every trick...

Hello.

Here's an "Idea and Suggestion" for you Tanki Online:

Start actually caring about your players. Saying, "Ideas regarding changes to the actual Tanki Online to its previous versions, or ideas regarding the removal of updates are not accepted," just proves that you really don't care on what you do to the game because really, who cares about users' feedback? It's your game right? It's not our game that we should enjoy (at least that's where this game is at now).

What I am trying to say is that you really don't care about what we think about all the ludicrous updates you put into the game. You don't care what we think. You don't care if we think it's horrible. And this is not only just because of that rule. This is because so many people give feedback and yet I highly doubt you actually listen to them. If this is really the case, there is no need for an "Ideas and Suggestions" sub-forum here.

I'm not trying to make Tanki Online sound like a bad game, it was a good one. But honestly in my opinion, it's not going to be a good one if the developers keep this on.

Also, if the developers lock and/or delete this topic, that just proves that they really don't care. An extra reason why they don't care in case someone wants to remake this thread if it is locked and/or deleted.

Thank you.

They do care about your feedback a lot actually, tho with this specific rule it means do not post about bringing back old Tanki or removing an update, why? Because it wont happen, if you post your ideas here while the update is still in progress, they will not get closed. But posting AFTER the update was implemented and fully working, it just doesn't work like that.

The updates are based on what players think and need to be improved to make playing the game more fun, dynamic, interesting and enjoyable.

Closed.
