Railgun rocks at m1.... but sucks at m2

This is just personal taste... I prefer Thunder , but someone who plays XP probably prefers Railgun. That doesn't mean it's better though.

Railgun: One of the highest damages in the game, 1 hit and the enemy is in danger, aim steady

Thunder: Classified as medium damage, be sure to hit hard

Range:

Railgun: Infinite range

Thunder: Medium range

Reload time:

Railgun: A charatteristic that railgun suffers, while you reload, take cover or run away

Thunder: Good reload, but not the best, take caution

Impact force:

Railgun: The highest in the game, 1 good hit and a light enemy tank is flipped over

Thunder: It has a low impact on a tank, be careful

Rotation speed:

Railgun: Very slow, might not survive in close quarter combat

Thunder: Medium, sufficent in all situations

Recoil:

Railgun: High recoil, if you use wasp, you have high chance to flip yourself

Thunder: Like the impact force, it is low

Extra pros:

Railgun: Penetrating power, a tank behind another one would not survive your shot

Thunder: Splash damage, hit multiple tanks or a wall next to one, no chance for your enemy

Extra cons

Thunder: Spash damage affects your armor, when a tank is coming towards you go away

Railgun: Very popular, most of the pro use it

Thunder: Popular but not much

I would say m1 Rail gun is better than m1 thunder, because it gives high damage, and hornet is good with that gun, also it suits on hornet :p, next time you can ask here "What to buy? Which is better?.

Railgun: Effective in open fields, always use time for your advantage

Thunder: Medium range is the best, can stay sharp against multiple tanks.

Overall:

Both turrets have good abilities, the main thing to choose a turret (or a hull) is by preference, i prefer railgun.

sounds as weird, as asking what's better - a Boxster or a Ram 3500 ...

 

one is fast and sleeky, the latter is brutal and can easily move you and 1 extra ton offroad ... tough choise, no ))

 

all in all it's useless to compare tools for different tasks - it ultimately goes down to what you like more, what fits your style more, which maps you prefer, etc, etc, but talking of rail and thunder, it's really wrong to claim, that one is better than the other ... such a comparison might only work in the case of spherical cows in a vacuum
