Depends on what Turret I'm rolling with. Hornet is better at impersonating a medium hull and absorbing fire, wasp negates its low health by not taking the damage in the first place. It also depends on the rank. Wasp M1 is better than hornet M0 and is available sooner than H M1. But there's a huge gap between M1 and M2, so you are better of rolling with HM2 when it becomes available. Wasp M2, however, blows hornet M2 away. It's up to the tanker as to whether or not they want to Micro upgrade to stay competive.

Wasp > Hornet all day erry day (i can totally prove that they are better btw you extreme XPers)

Yeah, yeah

the only fail i have done was that rail auto-aim (bullet magnetism) argument mkay

I was not referring to the auto-aim topic at all.

It 's just your total belief in the superiority of the Wasp that I find amusing.

I could be mistaken but that superiority thingy is something I see more often

with Waspies than any other kind of Tankers.

Inferiority complex?... :P

Though I dearly like the Hornet, I will never believe or say that it 's superior

to any other hull.

It 's only a matter finding out which hull suits your weapons choice and

playstyle the best.

In your case that 's obviously the Wasp: fair enough.

Devs simply did a very good job in balancing them hulls, you know -_-

Assume the days before turret hitboxes, so flipping is not a major issue for either hull. Wasp has more speed allowing it to catch targets more easily with close ranged weapons. After that statement, i can conclude Wasp is more viable (versus Hornet) with three turrets, and possibly four. Wasp's turret position is at the end, allowing the peek-a-boo tactic to be used more successfully. Rail, Smoky and (possibly) Thunder is more viable with Wasp due to the turret position. The only discrepancies are Vulcan due to self-damage (probably shouldn't use with Hornet either) and Thunder due to its massive recoil (greater than Rail). I hope you know I can defend Wasp with validity.

Not going to react anymore. Wasp is better in your view: ok.

you can't really 'assume the days before turret hotboxes', because those days are gone.

I have wasp and hornet and currently use hornet because I can't get wasp m2 yet.  the extra HP are the most important thing, but the precision of wasp's handling and the smaller size makes it a much better choice in my opinion, because it's easier to put the tank where you want it to go.  that sliding around that hornet does is not helpful at all.

sometimes I just want my tank to look cool, though, and then I like hornet better.

if we assume the days where turret hitboxes are a thing, anything besides a Mammoth will flip

In my opinion hornet is better due to almost the same speed. It also gets better though because it has more health and more weight than wasp so it won't be flipped as easily.
