Hornet vs. Wasp - Which stands tall?

Man you have never tried M3 wasp have you? It literally bumps into everything with nitro, it takes forever to master

On test server, yes, in game, no. I don't have much of an issue driving it. Although the speed takes some getting used to. Hornet is actually much more difficult, because of the drift. I primarily drive light hulls so I've had lots of practice.

Hmm, 150hp or 160 hp? HMMM (inb4 someone calls out M4s but tht's the gimmick of M4s...) Also, i can't believe nobody has posted the literal heights of Wasp and Hornet side-by side.

is wasp or hornet taller? when side by side, eg. getting gold box. personally i find hornet too slow :blink: , i got it m2, getting m2 wasp soon :P , though wasp could do with  more speed as well

One other reason I prefer hornet is I am a master at it now and I can handle the drift I like the drift it makes me feel like I'm driving a race car :P

I only use hornet because it has better health than wasp. Wasp is very weak against a lot of weapons and is unstable.

Solution to lack of health: don't take fire. Unstability isn't really a big deal, and there's the added advantage of having the turret on the back of the hull.

I like the wasp.. it drives so agile.

But I like the looks of the hornet more :)

I have discovered a problem with inverted controls, which is pretty bad for me as wasp user.

Dirving backwards is not as agile as dirving forwards - only when on inverted controls.

As here are many Wasp users:

 

About Wasp M3 and Rail M3: I guess I will have to purchase first one.. then some time later the other.

Which one do you think I should start with / and why?

 

Currently I see that

- M3 rail has the advantage of faster reload and faster turret rotation.. but I don't know how it works out on an M2 wasp (recoil..)

- M3 wasp: will the higher weight help me to not to get flipped so often by enemies with M3 rail?

 

What you think, which effect counts more?

Hornet, because i can 1 shot m3 wasp with my m3 railgun... but then again, i like wasp when other people have it, FREE KILLS ALL!

My oppinion is that the Hornet is better, because I'm an Isida tanker.

First matter is the greater health, the Wasp gets one-shotted no matter

what, while the Hornet can sometimes survive with just enough health to

get away. Not to mention, the Hornet is somewhat convenient as a ramming

hull, since it's sloped on the front you will sometimes slide under the enemy

and flip them over. If you are on slopped terrain that's almost guaranteed

to happen, so that strategy is strongly advised.

 

Yes it's a bit slippery, but I think that's the point, you can use that slide

to your advantage to outmanevaur the slower enemies, especially those

with slower turrets, and ESPECIALLY if you have the speed on. Hell, if

you have the Freeze turret, it's doomsday to anyone you manage to tackle,

because you can glide around their aim with ease.

 

I tried playing with the Wasp and abandoned it, so now I'm specialising

on the Hornet, and I stopped counting how many times I managed to

dodge killshots thanks to those slides.

 

Maybe rename the Wasp to Mosquito, because that's certainly what it

feels like when you use it, insignificantly small. No, I don't hate the Wasp,

I actually love it, but only when my enemies use it...

I prefer Hornet. I've only used wasp on TS and from what I've seen you need a super smooth FPS to use it to it's full potential, which I don't have. What I prefer the most about Hornet is how it looks tbh :P.
