The new system for gold isn't working right.

Tanki clearly stated that they added the drop zone to help everyone have more chances at getting gold, they said, if you're lucky to be near the symbol when it appears you have more chances of tanking gold, in the last few weeks many times I was there before everyone else, and used experience to hold my position from people pushing, but right at the last second, just about to touch me, someone climbs on top and takes it, and this isn't right, you being near before everyone else should give you the advantage of getting into a better position, and try to get at the right angle for pushing, ecc, but if someone can climb on top it takes away the whole point of being near the symbol first, I think a solution for this could be, you can only pick up gold if your tracks are touching the ground, that way the drop zone symbol would make sense, with the whole idea of beind lucky enough to be near it when it appears, or bring back the old syster, without the drop zone symbol, and drop it in the old places that it used to drop, where the crystalls boxes used to drop, one way or another, this has to be solved, I'm tired of people who don't do nothing the whole game, and when gold comes they climb on top, take it, and leave the game, gold should go to those who played and helped team, obviously if you just joined, that's a different story, but those who join and do nothing the whole game don't deserve gold.

I don't agree with the tracks touching the ground part.  This really sounds a lot similar to another guy talking about people climbing on top of him.  To get gold, you have to be smart enough to know exactly when to start running for the gold.  If you want a better chance to get it, get dictator.  I'm a hornet user and haven't been very smart at when to go after it.  But the gold is fine how it is.  No need to change the mechanics.

First I did not insult, the word I used is speaking kindly; sometimes they ban even normal words, which shows what you know about the game, second, the skilled players don't need a symbol telling where the gold drops, that was part of the fun before, not knowing, so everyone would be looking around, and if it didn't drop where you were, it was fun to watch in the distance, people trying to get it, they are making this game too easy.

The other parts you need to do your self - positioning yourself near the Gold, be more cunning than other players, jump of edges, do parkour, get on another tank, that is a huge part of the game play and an important skill to have. The sign is just a help out form the Devs.

It just requires more patience and not to be to close to the drop zone gatta stay a good distance away and when it falls just go and attack. use railgun to shoot the ones trying to jump to get it xD

with old system everyone had a chance of getting it if there were too many players on 1 spot you could simply change  your location cause there were more drop zones, now there is 1 drop zone for  20 players :/ or even more your suggestions wont work a lot of times because of that huge number of players, gold is now almost unreacheable for me :(

Everyone has their opinion, everyone may think they are better, or worst, everyone says what they want, I think once you've played for almost a year, on different accounts, from low to high ranks, I think you have enough experience to know what you're talking about, I always use experience, intelligence, vision, when I'm in a game I keep everything under control, and I can tell you that when that gold drops I use everything I know to try and get it, but once they have climbed on top, there's nothing you can do to get them off, also another big problem is the power ups, most people use power ups when gold drops, I don't know how the game doesn't crush completely, those who have power ups have an advantage, they put armor on, and press health, and manage to surivive, so another suggestions I would like to make, disable the use of power ups when the orange writing comes up, until gold is picked up, that way even those who don't have any have more of a chance, how many times, gold was dropping, and someone around you pressed health, and you go killed? if they couldn't press health, maybe they would have got killed, and you would have picked it up, I want anyone who has had a similar experience to please type it in the comments.

I've been around tanki for 4 years and I just think that gold is just hype.  Most players spend more than 1000 crystals before they get a gold box.  I get so much battle fund since I'm usually at the top of battles, so golds don't matter much to me.  People who complain about gold just care about it too much and shouldn't get so anxious about it.

I've been around tanki for 4 years and I just think that gold is just hype.  Most players spend more than 1000 crystals before they get a gold box.  I get so much battle fund since I'm usually at the top of battles, so golds don't matter much to me.  People who complain about gold just care about it too much and shouldn't get so anxious about it.

For me the gold is not about the crystalls, even though 1000 crystalls is always a 1000 crystalls, and if you can catch a few of those in a week, it doesn't hurt, for me gold is more like a trophy.

Since it is a trophy, you have to overcome the odds to get it.  You don't fight to make it fair, you fight to win.

This is not about skill, this is about strategy. Some strategies can annoy someone.

 

I don't think that there is way to make gold boxes "fair".

Supposedly the other crystal drops were removed because they were interfering with game play yet the ultimate crystal drop which interferes with the game more than anything remains.

 

It used to be exciting when it was random but now it's just a big annoyance - especially in team battles.

Honestly I don't so much mind the crystalls boxes being out, because they are added to the fund and shared, but the gold box drop zone just isn't cool.
