Let’s discuss the adjusted parameters for Railgun, Smoky and Shaft

When I started, I determined to use original smokey-hunter they gave me and not buy. I still use smoky-hunter, and I've bought no crystals. As Seymon commented in an interview long ago, playing without buying still lets you get everything you want, as long as you are patient, and hopefully I'm developing extra skill.

Playing since the update is quite significantly different. It is much harder to deflect shots. Perhaps I can learn to compensate, but so far, I just die more.

This update hurts. It changes how the game is played. It adds nothing and takes away much.

If impact against turrets was the problem, why not change that? Why take impact from the impact guns? Couldn't the turret sides be sloped, at least mathematically? With a slope, the impact force will mostly be vectored down. It will not tend to flip.

Besides, what is the big deal with flipping? If you drive hornet, you must expect to flip. Hornet was your choice. Deal with it.

Its funny seing all the smoky/railgun users raging when sometime ago, when the thunder's stats were rebalanced and it lost power and impact force, I did the same and they told me "deal with it" :D :D :D :D now you deal with it my friends, specially the awesome guys who think that its funny to flip their own team mates to get the flags for themselves.

My only thought is "when will they do the same to ricochet and hammer?", because its impossible to shoot straight when taking fire from them...

For those who want to parkour its obviously not so good, but lets keep in mind this is a battle game, not a parkour game, and people are getting really tired of getting into battles, specially in Noise, and there is always 2 or 3 guys parkouring to get to the top of the house on the red base, just to get an advantage on the Gold Box drop and not doing anything to help (removing that Gold Box dropsite would be great).

That being said, great update, can't wait for the next one ;)

Dreaded the nerf of Smoky 's impact-force and ofcourse as a Smoky player

I don 't like any nerf on that turret: it 's still doing a good job and the

impact-force on enemy hulls is still there.

Umm... That might be a good point...

Does this update reducing the impact force of Smokey only reduce the impact force to turrets? Which was only introduced a few weeks (or so) ago?

But impact force to hulls is the same as it always was..?

Maybe not such a bad deal then.

Yes, so if you want to flip someone with railgun you actually have to shoot their turret

Why is everybody saying this update ruined Smoky and Railgun? This update actually was made to balance the auto-aim improvement because people were getting flipped too easily by Railguns and Smokies. With this update, flipping now takes skill, and a victim of flipping after this update needs skill to control the tank's motion. Semyon said on the main post that flipping a Wasp or Hornet is still possible, but requires skill. Though Smoky's recoil was part of the weapon itself since the start of the game, it is still very noticeable. Smoky recoil was decreased to stop it's recoil from getting too powerful.

Lets talk about the real problem here, which you stated that people were complaining about getting flipped due to the auto aim and not the knockback feature of a turret. Secondly there are several ways to avoid getting flipped like hmmmm geeee maybe the other 4 hulls siting in your garage? Or gee maybe manuvering your tank so the opponent cant flip you? You do realize that using a faster hull gives an advantage due to its high speed in tactical situations and there for may be more vulnerable to weapons?

In addition I keep hearing all these complaints about the hammers impact force now and I have yet to flip the viking...dictator...titan...and mamoth (are slow hulls in comparison to the wasp and hornet) with the hammer which goes to show there are options to avoid these flips even from the most powerful impact forces. The question here would be have you chosen the correct hull for your battle play? There is also frustration on the paint protection against hammer which I completely understand, however people need to give the paints a chance prior to demanding a nerf on it already. Im sure once the paints come into place the hammer will be nerfed quite a bit!

To summerize this I finish by saying the impact force of these weapons should stay in tact the way it was prior to update so they can atleast tickle a mamoth while firing upon one or have a form of defending himself from being shot. And people need to realize there are other optons rather then just saying waaa my hornet flips too easy, or waaa my wasp flips to easy and have yet to realize there are other "slower" hulls available which "do" not flip!

So darrex you are saying that instead of using the light hulls at the risk of "getting flipped" players should have chosen medium/heavy hulls to resolve this problem? That will only make thing s a lot worse IMO,

1) How do you expect the gameplay of large maps to be? If most of the players of such maps started using med/heavy hulls to avoid being flipped how much boring the gameplay will be? Furthermore if 1 or 2 players ( or a minimal amount of players in both teams) used light hulls how would their life be out there? Would they enjoy getting flipped every once in a while without even making it to the enemy base? Who is going to help them get their D/L and the point score lost due to self destruction ?

2) Have you ever considered how it would have affected the XP/BP format if this update was NOT applied? During the last few weeks the XP/BP format battles were more of Flip-O-Rama rather than a battle of skills. This would have been even worse if the season 3 of starladder was conducted WITHOUT this update. XP/BP battles are meant to test the skills of a player/team rather than his /their ability to flip enemies. True, there is certainly some skill involved in flipping the enemy and keeping yourself without being flipped but that alone should NOT allow to change the gameplay of XP/BP battles.

This is exactly why this update fits in correctly. Flips will still happen but not at the extremely disturbing rate which happened at the last few weeks.

The only downside however I see in this update is the effect it has on parlour. With the reduced impact force parkouring will be much harder and will need even more techniques....

Game was already balanced prior to the update thank you very much!

Did you at least read my entire post suggesting why smoky was OP? This game will never be totally balanced. It was unbalanced in the history, it's unbalanced at the present and will always be unbalanced in the future as well. What devs are trying to do is minimize those imbalances from time to time and make this game playable.

I really can't understand why a player of your calibre and experience is making such worthless suggestions through walls of texts which wont make you seem any clever.

Always remember to,

Get this through your head..... Smoky cant flip light hulls and there are many noobs with railgun who dont even know how to flip someone along with the fact there is only around one railgun in every battle..... So plz stop saying that loght hulls get flipped all the time -_-

I agree with you except for the last sentence. The big deal with flipping (I use hornet) is that each hull has its unique pros and cos according to which players make their choises. I use hornet, I accepted the (initial) "deal" that said "By using hornet you agree that you will have most than average speed and manoveurability, but you will be weaker than medium and heavy hulls and also you will be relatively easy to flip over, thus having to respawn more often" . That agreement equals to a certain ratio for all those parameters mentioned, including flip overs.

Recent updates of Tanki enforced Self-Destruct-Penalty (every time I flip over I have to loose one kill - WHY? ) and including turret as a receiver of hits increased even more the flip overs ratio.

So, with these two updates I feel the initial "deal" is violated. It bothers me, since I invested real money in hornet.

In order to restore - in a way - the increased ratio of flips over, Tanki nerfs railgun shot. Less flips over, true. But that is a weakening of railgun in general and considering the large amount of anti-railgun protection in existing paints this change also violated the "deal" for railgun. Well, guess what: I invested real money to railgun too.

That's why I complain and I have every right to, because I am a dissapointed customer.

She was refering to XP and higher ranked battles. Railguns Impact force is much more powerful at M3 than M0.

Awesome update for the rail and smoky.

Rail : it wasn't funny before this update seeing many tanks in an xp battle flipped (sandbox for instance) we just run for there flag however i like this update. since i don't have to worry much for being flipped easily with my sturdy hornet.

Smoky that's even better . whenever smokys showed up in a battle in numbers i simply leave i can't do much against

Them when they mess up my aim badly with rail. now i can adjust thanks tanki :)

If you use railgun why are you supporting this?? You could just flip that smoky and be done? There are many ways you can stabilize yourself to shoot.

it wasn't really fun seeing most of the tanks flipped during xp battles. you spend 1/4th of ur time self destructing. as for smoky

I am not sure how can i flip a smoky m3 mounted on top of a viking m3 with my rail ?
