Let’s discuss updated rank limits for higher ranks

This update aims at avoiding your low gear to ruin my high rank battles, and it is perfect. This topic can be closed, nothing to add :D

yh probably cause your not in clan or dont have any lower rank friends to battle think about others not just you i mean sure your fine majority really isnt the middle ranks or guys in clans..

You already decreased ranks now you are decreasing them again? It should be our choice on what battles we would desire to join, if someone is stupid enough to complain they cant win when they join generalnissmo battle with m0's thats their problem, there are many battles for their rank, at this rate i won't be able to play with anyone hardly

The idea behind it is good, but it kills a lot. I have friends lower ranked than Major. We have to create new accounts to be able to play together now. I don't think that is what we should do... Also, I did talk with people in the lobby, since we cannot have big talks there anymore it sometimes goes into battles, impossible now.. Sad thing. 

 

I read someone saying that clans need to go through changes now to be able to play with a full squad.. some clans have ranks ranging from wo5 till generallisimo. Was this considered while creating this? When I take a random clan in M2 clans (http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=240687) you see that this clan can close then. It will not be able to put a normal battle on the battlefield. 

 

I think it's good for battles! But I also think that updates are too focused on the game, and not on other aspects like friends, clans etc.

I personally dislike this part. I think in pro battles you should be able to make games for any (reasonable) rank limit. Because if I have a friend that is a Third Lieutenant, I no longer can play with him easily. Food for thought.

I support Micah's idea! I realize that this is a rather needed update, but I also enjoyed taking on an intense challenge with some Generalissimos. The access to the Generalissimos was especially good for XP / BP battles.

This is an excellent update. Now I can join battles that contain more of my ranks. Instead of 3rd Lieutenant "team weights" and over-powered higher ranked players all playing in the same battle, it's now mostly all the same.

Don't like this update. The player has a choice if he/she wants to join of not.

 

Wow only Major-Generalissimo, what if you have low ranked friends? Some do.

 

 

Wow, another bad idea! If I create a Polygon CP, it can only be played by Lieutenant Genral or higher. So only the last 6 ranks can join loool.

 

At least make it Majot to Generalissimo.

 

 

It's the low rank's fault for joining a high rank battle, not ours.I miss killing m0s and m1s

Corpse, everyone loves killing the occasional m0 with a one shot, but, its easier for mults to join.. and how do you feel when a m0 is on your team and its such a close game that, the one m0 is mkaing you lose?

Lukey0, and A7x, I think you dont like it because you want all your polygon games to be filled with noobs so you can take GB easier.. but..

Thats none of my business.

good news, this update will improve Tanki Online a lot. 

Guys, this is a game about tanks and battles ... and lots of players was sick and tired of crystals grabber, druggers, gold hunting, low rank on high rank battle, etc. etc ... and tired of multi: one at a time all this bad things are gone.

 

I saw lot of high rank players complain about this update: actually ... you miss low rank with M1 on your battles because the 'gameplay ? hahaha, come on guys, we all knows the true :-)

Ofcourse it will affect a number of players who like to play for example

with lower-ranked friends, or skillful medium-ranked Tankers who like to challenge

the M3 equipped high-rankers with (much) lesser material.

(on a sidenote: both examples are mostly not contributing to balanced gameplay in

team-battles but are never an issue in DM)

 

Especially Parkour and Clan players will not like this update. Very understandable!

Maybe Tanki could help them out with an extended range in Pro/Private battles?

 

Though it 's not such a good update for the Tankers I mentioned above, it is a very good

update for the IMO much larger group of Tankers who just want to have a much improved

chance on a balanced battle.

 

Let 's face it. How many battles are balanced nowadays? 

A lot of CTF 's for example go like this:

 

Team A which by chance happens to be stronger than team B captures the first flag.

The exodus at team B starts. The empty places in team B often get filled up with

lower-ranked and lower-equipped players than team A has.

So when time goes on team A becomes even stronger and team B has no real chance

to get back in the game.

Those battles often end with a dreaded zero for the loosing team.

Maybe some players think that 's no problem: I think it 's terrible and could kill the game in

the long run.

 

Ofcourse not all battles follow this scenario, but much too many do.

 

By limiting ranks and equalizing equipment and skills you got a much better chance

that the first losing team B in the example above gets good replacements if players

of team B do leave.

Not to mention you already start of more balanced which could mean that much more

players decide to stay and fight the battle till the end, because they feel they have

a chance at a comeback.

 

That 's what Tanki is trying to achieve here IMO.

And looking at the bigger picture I really think it 's a good update that was very needed.

Just curious: did O.U.F.A. also like to play with you? Don 't get me wrong: that is certainly possible!

 

I hope (for you) the Devs can create something in Private/Pro battles to make it possible to play

together with the higher ranks as Tankers like you (and myself) were used too.

WO5 or Lieutenant are mults in battles with Generalissimo. For me, Major to Generalissimo is good. Besides, friends can at this level can rank up fast. But Lieutenant General to Generalissimo, it is even worst.

 

If we want cool games, we need to let a lower rank create it, then Major to Gen can come in.

Way to go tanki.You have in one change destroyed our whole group that plays together all the time .Now most can not play in the same game .I think the people you got working for you dont think before they act.They sure arnt any good at thinking it seems .This is 100% bad change .But we alredy know you dont listen to the players .
