Tanki Olympics

I think it would be fun if there was a Tanki Olympics.  This would go on every four years.  8 players per country would participate.  The 32 teams that participate would be picked by the Devs deciding on which are the strongest 32 countries.  To become a team member of a country, you must submit your home country into a sign up sheet.  Each country will have the signups for them displayed in their conversation page.  Everyone would vote on the 8 players they think should make the team for their country.  No matter what rank, all players participating will compete on a separate server that automatically sets your rank to generalissimo.  You will also have everything already bought in your garage.  You only need to select and equip the combo you are using.  The teams would be split up into four divisions.  Each team will play every other team once.  Then the seeding will be set after that according to the round robin.  Teams may practice in that server as much as they want.  After the round robin will be a single elimination until the final four.  The two losers will play the bronze medal match while the two winners will play the gold medal match.

 

What does the rest of the community think about this?

 

This is not like StarLadder because you would play with your countrymen.  Like in most sports, there are teams, but then the Olympics are different.

It would only be temporary.  They would give you your account name and password, but in real tanki, nothing would be affected.  You would not be able to log on after the tournament is over.  Also, this tournament would not have Devs compete so it is not the battle of rusty barrels.  Also, every sport has a league, and then there is the olympics.  This would be exactly the same with starladder.

every 4 years?huh that's to much man tanki isn't like rally olympics the most players st 3-4 years stop tanki ( i saying that because i know very much people whom done that. i am not in these people i play the game 5 or 4 years i don' remmember)

Every 1-2 years is ok and I do not agree with making them gissmos I think rank limit marshal-gissmo can play cause lower ranks with no skill with be gissmos with m3s

Remember, it will probably still be mostly gismos, but some countries may not have 8 gismos visiting the forums.  Remember, the players get voted in, so it is most likely to be gismos voted in first, but after that, lower ranks.

Good point, but still think about it majors fighting gizmos?

But there would be no discrimination no matter what rank because all of them would be the same.  The majors would have the same equipment as the gismos.  If one team doesn't have enough skilled players, they would go down to majors to vote.  If one team gets eliminated badly because they are all majors on the team, well that is fine, it means the players are just not as skilled.  This is the same as in regular Olympics as well.  The two top teams will prevail in a tournament like this.

No, because starladder is where you make your own teams and there are multiple teams for different countries and also some could even not be from that country.  This would be the best of all countries.
