Explanations needed for some rules

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'd like to have some explanations -from concerned people-for the following rules:

1.12;

1.14;

1.17;2.3.9(What if it's not provocative at all?);

2.3.21;

3.16;

6.4.

Thanks in advance!

1.12 - creating accounts with nicknames such as Moderators_are_noobs, staffisstupid isn't allowed.

1.14 - kinda self-explanatory, nicknames referring to sexual stuff aren't allowed.

1.17 - nicknames like iut87t58d7bv89d7t89d57 aren't allowed as they're pointless, ruin chats' look and their owners often forget them after a week and then start sending tons of emails to tech support, telling it's Tanki's fault they can't log in.

2.3.9 - this is not a political nor an elections site, which is why political discussions aren't allowed in any form.

2.3.2.1 - "you noob devs suck, what a stupid game, you can't fix simple problems", etc. arent allowed.

3.16 - we can delete or move any content that breaks the game rules or is posted at the wrong place (like you did with this topic), without notifying the player about it. The player is responsible for his own actions, and he's obliged to follow the rules he read and agreed to before registering in the game.

6.4 - if you write to help@tankionline.com, tech support has the right to store all of the emails you sent them.

I'll leave this open for a bit, in case you have more questions, but according to the rules such questions should be sent to help@tankionline.com.

6.2. User may send any questions, comments or complaints regarding these Game Rules to help@tankionline.com. The Administration will make every effort to consider such requests as soon as possible.

That is great, Thank you very much, FederalBureauFBI,  for explaining for us and providing the reference to the numbers that the original poster might have done for us.  It is much appreciated.

That's an evidence. But the critics aren't always bad (eg: film critics). A critic is an opinion. I doubt you mean that we can't give our opinion, so could I kindly suggest to change the word "criticism" into another one more appropriated.

Agreed, but why "without notifying the player about it."? I mean, what if the mod who deletes a post is wrong, and there's actually no reason to delete it? The player doesn't know his post has been deleted, so he thinks "I gave my opinion, I've done my job".

I apologize about that part, but I was afraid it wouldn't be red, and I think all conversations are always beter publicly, as participants express their opinion in a more constructed way then in private discussions.

Thanks a lot for your answers :)

You're welcome :)

I don't find the change necessary, as it doesn't say "you can't post criticism", but "you can't post unconstructive criticism" - unconstructive means something like in my example above. And this is not something we need, it just takes up space and doesn't help in any way, thus it's forbidden. But of course constructive one is welcomed - if you check the Devs' news topics, you'll see they're full of constructive criticism about new updates and how they can be improved, and noone gets banned for that.

All mods' actions are logged and can be checked at any time. If a player thinks his content was deleted for no reason, he can write to the appropriate admin and request such a check on moderator's actions.

In fact, we almost never alter players' content in any way without notifying them (in case it's an obvious alt made for trolling, then we just ban and empty the account). So that's not something to worry about, it's just part of the legal stuff about the game rules, which the lawyers from Alternativa decided to include.

In conclusion, I'm afraid nor me, nor anyone else from the staff is able to change the rules (technically possible, but it's not up to us), nor we're able to act on behalf of the devs about why some rule exists, why is it written in such a way and so on. So, in case you have any requests or complains about the rules, EULA, or Privacy policy, you should write to help@tankionline.com, those are the people responsible for such stuff.
