Remove that weird gyroscope. That's the only reason I won't get this weapon. If your a Freeze you can keep going around the Vulcan and the Vulcan wouldn't even kill the Freeze.

So far:

Hello tankers!

Today for the first time you can see for yourselves what the new Vulcan turret is capable of!

Vulcan is a turret ideal for combat at medium and long ranges. It is capable of firing indefinitely. However, after shooting for a significant amount of time, it will start building up heat. This will cause your tank to suffer damage. Another unique feature of this new turret is its gyroscope. Once Vulcan’s barrels are rotating, it will be fixed in the direction it is firing. Knocking off its aim will be very challenging. This is the first gun that will let you control the hull while the turret is facing the desired direction.

You can join the open testing here and here.

Take part in the test and return to this topic to share your impressions! Your feedback will help us make the final version of Vulcan even better.

I keep getting Wrong Pasword even though i type the ryt one pls solve this poblem

hey 1 guy used rail now

some tankers were able to get in the garage including me

i got a hornet m3 to test because i use it.

unfortunately i was not able to get in the garage again when i tried the second time :/

what is the use of a test server when you cant test the turret with different tanks?

for short range

try to do that at medium and long range

I would have, but as usual, just kids playing around, taking forever to load, and couldn't access garage.

The range, damage, and impact force is good. Less gyroscope effect. Less start up! The gun takes to long before firing. Have turret turn faster to slow. Over heating should be less.

Nice job Dev's!!!!!

it reloads too quick, fix the reload it's OP.I killed 1 tank and after 1 second i was ready to kill another mammoth.

With double power, you can kill 3 titans with one clip

Here's my feedback.

Pros:

  • Vulcan can mow down most tanks pretty quickly. The infinite ammunition and the high rate of fire is very nice in this regard.
  • The gyroscope makes it harder for Smokies, Hammers, and Railguns to mess with your aim. The only exception occurs if one of those weapons hits you in the turret; your aim will be shifted upwards.
  • The overheating occurs only after prolonged firing; you can probably destroy a Viking or Hunter before it overheats.
  • The weapon cools down pretty quickly.

Cons:

  • The spin-up time is pretty long. This lets light hulls slip past you easily, but it's good for game balance, so I'm fine with this.
  • The overheating is an issue if you're using a hull with little health. It's good for game balance here, but a heavy hull can basically fire for as long as the user wants, especially if drugs are allowed.
  • Rotation speed is pretty slow when firing, and not many people are used to the gyroscope.

My suggestions:

  • Figure out a way to make the overheating more of an issue with heavy hulls. Perhaps you could make a separate "overheat" parameter which deals damage partially based on the percentage of your health, instead of using temperature, which is really not a problem for heavy hulls.

More time in the test server. Finding battles that seem interested in testing the vulcan is hard, but I managed.

Well, I changed my mind, at least some.

This gun has its problems. It is variable, which I think is a test server glitch issue. Sometimes it seems to take forever to kill another tank, other times it is surprisingly quick. Again, probably test server glitch, but overall, it seems about right, probably slightly overpowered.

The biggest problem is the gyro. Sure, its great to be able to hold your target while rotating the tank in full circles while stationary, but it is a bummer when trying to chase a running hornet. It makes for an effective turret turn speed comparable to an M0 rail. Letting up on the fire and adjusting aim works. There is good speed on the turret turning while the bullets aren't flying, but halting fire and getting it going again can be fatal.

It seems the viking will need to be the hull of choice. The heavies are great, but you just cannot fight slow with this turret. The hornet and wasp seem to be able to handle it. I tried the hornet. It works. I saw others successfully using the vulcan on the wasp. It is hilarious watching wasps pinwheel and bounce sometimes.

Recoil is really weird. It can noticeably scoot a titan, on the flat, pointing at any angle. It lifts the front of a mammoth, but it has a hard time turning anything bigger than a hornet back up off its side. While firing, one is quite vulnerable to flipping, even on a viking.

I'm not sure the reload/cooldown should be so fast. With the M3+, nearly eight seconds of firing heat is eliminated by simply lifting the fire finger and putting it back down. Getting used to that delay is hard, but I'm sure plenty will master it, just like the rail.

So, I think it will be a reasonable addition to the game. I'm going to put off buying one. I expect it to have limited utility.

As I mentioned with the hammer, though I don't like it much, I think it is a very good addition to the game, suiting certain playing styles well. The vulcan likely will also, but I think the appeal will be less.

Is there a difference in knockback on teammates versus opponents? Knockback on opponents is medium. On teammates, it seems trivial.
