Stay in battle while you visit the lobby

Wow I just accidentally exited the battle.

I thought Devs wanted dynamic battles. Not dumb hazards that can cause you to lose the entire fund.

Great, another update for players to earn less crystals, and rank up faster.

The other topic was locked, which means they intentionally want this, knowing full well it is an impediment to play. I still don't understand the reason for it. Why let us go to the garage during a battle and then ask us if we really want to go? Worse, some people seem to think THIS POPUP is what lets us go to the garage, not realizing that this update comes MONTHS after the utility was in place, and just complicated the process.

Who does this benefit?

this work great

Edit: See bottom of this post for solution

When you want to visit the garage to change equipment you now are prompted with this when you click on Garage;

kCGrpQp.png

Edited for clarity:

So the whole point of this extra dialogue box is to give any player currently in battle the option to either visit the garage and stay in the battle or to visit the garage and not stay in the battle.

Let's ignore the third option which is there just in case you accidentally let go of the keyboard, grabbed hold of the mouse and moved it up to the small area marked 'garage' and clicked on it. It could happen right?

One small question...
WHY?

The focus and priority should be with the player who wants to stay in the battle. If a player wants to quit and visit the garage then let them be the ones who have to click multiple buttons as their time doesn't cost them or anyone else anything. As it stands, players wishing to stay in battle are getting penalised along with their teammates.

If you're like me and previously changed equipment when you were destroyed, you could quickly enter the garage and change equipment without being visibile to your enemy. You would then respawn without having a 10 second self-destruct counting down.

Now, when you try and do the same you find that you respawn before you can address the new dialogue popup box, you are visible to your enemies so you're getting shot at while you're changing equipment. Then, to add insult to injury you have to self destruct too.

Equates all in all to about an additional 20 seconds lost from before and I ask again, WHY? Well the answer seems to be to make it easier for players wishing to leave the battle and enter the garage, which is like nobody in the history of forever.

Solution

Using AutoHotKey (free open source software for windows), you can assign yourself a hotkey that will automatically click on the garage button, wait for the dialogue box to pop up and then press the Enter key for you. I set this up for when I press the Enter key on the number pad.

Here is the script I used

NumPadEnter::
MouseMove, 1620,100
MouseClick, left
sleep, 50
Send, {Enter}
return

I then turned it into an .exe using the compiler.

Note the 1620,100 refers to the x,y co-ordinates of where the garage button can be found on my screen which will vary for most users.

I will be using this method until TO fix this monumental mistake. B)

edit 2:

I have been using this for a little while and it's even better than before

This work great !! Thanks so much now no more waiting in and out in  flash :lol:  love it. thanks for the great post!!  ;)

What a useless update. What the heck are these Devs thinking. Takes too long to load, while you are there you get killed twice, then you you still need to self destruct. So three kills taken away. So stupid. They couldn't even get the words right. LOL They need to fire the person approving these updates he/she is ruining the game, and driving players away to other games.

Stop trying to fix things that are not broken, before you lose even more players

you can say that again ..... :angry:  :angry:  :angry:

nice that you have found a way around this new functionality :)

In teh meanwhile I have learner to always push the most left button of this dialog.. I dont read it any more.

I assume most beginners have a simmilar learning curve.. and soon push the same button, no matter what they wanna archive.

I don't think this will solve the initial issue.. a garage timer would be more usefull.

You don't have to press the left button. You can just hit the enter or return key.

What I find so bad about this update is that sometimes you can destruct a couple of times more than necessary. This is a huge waste of time and so annoying.

The solution I posted is basically makes a hotkey on your keyboard.

Where before you just clicked the left mouse button, now I just press Enter on my numberpad which is a few milliseconds quicker than before this update.

i hate this update of tanki , several times i got out of the battle by mistake by clicking no and that too when with a pretty high score . really i dont understand why tanki devs introduced this update i think there wasnt any problem with the old system of visiting garage and battles list while being in the batle

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday - accidentally clicked on the NO button and left the battle. Completely agree with AZ I don't quite understand why it is there, it's just an extra possibility for players to accidentally leave a game they've been playing in!
