Invalid A better way of reporting

Present system :
Player 1 : Hey you *CENSORED* !!!!
Player 2: Now you will get banned ;)

Then player 2 needs to take a full pic , upload it , make a new topic and wait for the mod's decision

According to my system :
Player 1 : Hey you *CENSORED*
Then player 2 left clicks on the message and there will be a separate option called " Report this message" , he clicks on that and the report is sent to a mod automatically and  then the mod takes a look if the player 1 should be banned or not and takes his decision . DONE!

 

And to avoid spam , It should be made like so If someone reports [A number chosen by devs] times in a day and those messages do not violate the chat rules then the player won't be able to report for a [hour/day/week/month] .

I think this system will make the chats cleaner as the present system requires some effort and people don't really like to waste their time on this . With my system , reporting will be much easier and faster

Nice Idea.... Even I feel bored to take a pic, get on forum, go to violators, post, wait then he gets banned.

Better to just right click on the message and "Report this message" 

 

This way every crime will be punished...

I've been wondering and searching topics for ideas about reporting/helping to ban/kicking offenders, there seem to be so many of them, and honest players like me hate seeing innocent tankers fall prey.

 

I really hope this idea gets seriously considered.

Just like CoC, it will be quite easy to report any violator... taking a screen posting it in the forum... I'll better continue the battle in which I am rather than doing these stuff...

Yes but which chat moderator will it go to? Will it go to all and then when any moderator bans that play the ban that player option will go, or just a random moderator?

 

Actually If I say so, ur idea can be very frustrating for the moderators. Some people might just joke and tons and tons of messages will distract them. What if they are helping somebody or replying to him? He can ban that player surely but it might distract him and make him forget the questions the players are asking. What if 5 or ten people send the reports to him?

 

Okay if I even agree with you it should be a single click job for the mods.

I also think the reporting players should get a reward. For instance, if they report, say 10 offenders in 1 week, then they get 100 crystals. Just a thought......maybe the reward and time could be balanced by the Devs, but this would encourage more players to report in-game offenders. :)

I love this idea, to be honest. The only few problems I can see in this:

 

1.) Out of context phrases. Misinterpretation is one of our oldest demons, and one message may not cover the entire story. 

 

2.) People clicking the report button on every sentence uttered in the chat room. I'm certain y'all know this, but not everyone is of honest intention. People will spam the report button just like they would a chat, if ONLY to spite developers. I hate to think that there are people out there like this, but I've seen a lot in my 1.5 years here.

 

3.) Even if there was a method of culling the flow of posts reported, the developers would be INCREDIBLY backlogged, given enough time. That is, unless considerable bans are placed. But that can only help so much.

 

To counter the second problem, I would suggest a two way window. If a certain number of posts are considered 'span reports', the player could have a warning message fired back at them, and likewise ban if it gets out of control, like a chat spammer would. This could also help staunch the flow of reports indicated by problem three.

 

On the subject of rewards, I think that's just a bad idea altogether, due to (once again) spiteful and advantageous people. The excessive number of false reports (or reports sent in from alternate accounts; a player can just sit in an empty match with his alts and start cursing at themselves repeatedly, all the while gaining crystals. It's just a new power-leveling waiting to happen) would contribute to problem three, whilst also pointing at problem one.

 

Those are just my thoughts on this, feel free to build from here as well.

I think that you should only be able to submit one report every, anyone could change this, 10 minutes to fight spamming and if there are two violators, either wait or take a screenshot.
