A better way of reporting

As always, the opinion of players is important to us. We're working hard to maintain the balance on the chat, which will provide players with the good atmosphere and keep violators at bay. I'm assuring you that we're already harsher on repeat offenders but any radical changes to our system of chat bans is not planned for now. However, we can and we will tweak them from time to time, if there's need. As for players, I already stressed that they have several options to protect themselves from offenders, and we sincerely hope they are using them to their potential.

I have made a mistake. SO stupid of me.  I was mostly referring to game violators and forgot you are a chat mod admin, so most of what I said doesn't apply to chat violators.

love the idea...but that is only an idea....we can only think of making this better....its up to the devs to actually implement them.....

which is close to impossible coz they dont even check this forum

This would be GREAT, there are all kinds of "trolls" who have long hard to type names. Like -_M.A.S.T.E.R_- by the time we report him, he's done other things.

It would also make things easier than trying to remember the whole command.

Especially for the younger players.

i think Report by screen shot is easy :)

Trust me, its not. You have to take the screenshot. Upload it which takes forever with my internet speed. Sometimes, the loading stop so i have to refresh and do it again. Then I have to sign in Forum and post. Before posting, i should read the name of the violator carefully and type it to make job easier for mods. Then, i should wait a couple of hours for that guy to be banned.

I was excited to report all offenders when i first heard of the reporting system, but then I found out that they don't deserve all that effort and time waste of mine. Ignoring them is a better solution for me :)

Yes but which chat moderator will it go to? Will it go to all and then when any moderator bans that play the ban that player option will go, or just a random moderater

It would go to a moderator that is currently online

Sometimes I just turn the chat off altogether because it can be distracting at times and cause you to perform poorly and get taunted/insulted by other players which makes you perform even worse, and ignoring players wouldn't help because there can be other players insulting and eventually there will be too many to block and it's just easier to turn off the chat.

If you have friends in the battles that you would like to talk to, then only their messages can get through to you and you can see them. If they are distracting as well, you can unfriend them which will throw their messages into the main chat where you cannot see, or you can ignore them which isn't as bad as ignoring everyone one by one.

idea is good

i think its better too get reward of some crystals like 200 or 500 per your report so people always report to make chat more cleaner  B)  B)

Yeah but people could just use their alts and use that to get crystals for their main.

Only 100 - 200 crystals per report - Need to be different IP's

Thank goodness finally they are going to attempt to do this, trying to take a screenshot while still batttling is annoying!

One thing I think that would make it more easier so no one sees the reports it is just autmoated like the "flood" ban.

Player1: ****

System Warning:Do not use words in violation to the rules

Player 2: wow

Player1: **** Noob

System Player_name has been banned for 1 hr.

And so forth.

It would make it less of a hastle on players having to report it. You just basically make a function (dunno what it is written in exactly so cant say I am into websites and am learning about them and general progamming  JS is my biggest know how) but I know if you use any php or js in the spam filters on chat you can do it really easy.

Conclusion

-Easy on developers

-Fast development

-Players are stress free

-Everyone is happy

I think the report player option is cool, and the vote option but the vote option never really works tbh, it is like a game i play for mobile it never get's checked (sorry if someone really does but it seems as though it doesn't)

I just thought it would be a nifty idea to have a button that reports people instead of typing "/vote nameofoffender" because it would make the process simpler, and if someone's name is something complex like xX_356BPH7H0LE997_Xx or something idk, it would be easier to just click on their name and press "report" (you can also add an undo report button) at where the ignore and profile with add to friends/confirm request/decline request place is.

This is long over due. It's time to create an easier option for players to report those who disrupt team play.  The "/vote_offender_name" command is ridiculous and too time consuming. The majority of players either don't know how to use this function or it's too complicated for them to get right during battle, especially with long offender names.

Instead, a simple, easy-to-click option needs to be created for team play matches only. Here's why:

There are too many players that sabotage team play and ruin competitive balance. In my opinion, if you want tanki to thrive and continue to be successful, you need to maintain the integrity of team play competition. Team play is what makes tanki so attractive and chances are is what brought most of the people here in the first place. The more players feel cheated the less they want to invest, whether it be with their time, money or participation.

a few ideas:

1.) have a "Vote Offender" option that players can select in the pop- up menu that appears when clicking a person's name. (this option should only be given to those within the same team as the offender)

2.) make a "Report" button next to the chat box. When selected a list appears with the players currently on that team. You can highlight that players name and cast a vote to remove them from the team.

3.) you can create a penalty function that either removes or freezes a player during game play after they receive a certain percentage of offender votes from teammates.

4.) Lessen the time it takes to remove inactive players from 5 minutes to 3 minutes. The majority of games are 15 minute long. 5 minutes of inactivity is 1/3rd of the entire game which is waaay too long.

5.) Display a permanent warning/rule on the battle page that makes it clear SABOTAGE will not be accepted. and that those whom disrupt team game play will have their accounts banned from the game or at least penalized and  made inactive for awhile.

Having your players record, edit, post videos of offenders in the forum is time consuming, frustrating and irrelevant after that particular battle has already ended. There needs to be an immediate solution to remove those that want to sabotage others.

ALSO, this option should only be made available in TDM, CP, CTF and should be limited to players within the same team as the offender. Obviously, so players can not vote off the top players on the opposing side.

Plz clean the game up tanki...it has become beyond frustrating, especially to those who are real competitors and play to win.

sorry for the long post.

(thumbs up if you agree and would like to see a change made)

I have a feeling its going to be a while before it's implemented, but not so long before it's forgotten.

Instead of typing /vote (offender), I'd like to see a vote option in the scoreboard so that you could select the user rather then having to copy and then paste the user's name of the offender added to the (Copy, invite friend, options currently available)
