I decided to set up a new account just to get the vulcan. So far, so good.

It has its drawbacks. Not going to be for everyone, but it is good and effective. Nice change. Makes me think and fight differently than the other turrets I fight with. I'm running on hunter so far. I will probably switch to viking, but I'm not convinced I want bigger. It needs to be able to move, despite the fact that one needs to try to sit still while firing. (Otherwise you fight yourself trying to turn the turret.)

It should prove to be a good team addition as well.

Overall, I give it high ratings. It is a good addition to the game.

this turret sucks something big its not like the way it was in the test sever :mellow: i want my money back plz.

Sadly, there are no refunds. In some areas of the gun i agree with you, it doesn't feel like i am in control as much as i am with other guns, but i think it need some getting used to try little tactics or epic kills and start to get used to the gun, so you can play with this turret and not dislike it as much.

i hope we soon get some coustomised paints :D

like for example : total protection =100

                            isida=50%

                            railgun=30%

                            firebird=20%

total cost=300k/250k

Lol the vulcan's meant only for long range

but if u r trying to attack in close quaters its nothing less than suicide.

Anyway in my opinion it best suits on dictator or viking....

Well mabye on titan too...

Besides you can reduce its self damage via anti firebird paints

Well, even in long range, it's not that good. In Polygon, when someone is on big ramp and shot me while I'm on the island, damages are ridiculous and it's easy to avoid bullets.

Live long and prosper.

Draw backs: less accurate than rail or shaft at long range. To slow and awkward at short range takes too little life to beat thunder at mid range. Vulnerable to pop out shooters, and too slow to react. Self distructs whenever fighting large tanks. All in all, in every situation, there is a turret that will beat it no matter what. Underpowered.

THIS GUN IS FREAKING AWESOME!

Cons:

Takes a moment to wind up

Makes you overheat

Rate of fire is good, but not much damage per second

Pros:

Biggest rate of fire in the whole game (I think)

Can gun down people moderately quick

Looks good

Has a gyro :)

Can self-aim slightly a.k.a aim down, aim up, but not at you control.

Note:

Firebird protective paints can counteract the overheating problem.

I got the M0 on a lower account, and I think this is an absolutely fascinating turret (I'm normally a Twins/Rico user).

I like the sluggish behaviour, strange gyro, slow start up, overheating, slow turning rate and sound effects - that's what makes it an interesting and challenging weapon to master. The only thing is, when you do master it, you want some reward (i.e. nice kills) - but the lack of damage dealt stops this pay-off.

The only two things that needs a bit of tweaking IMO is the damage dealt and the auto-aiming. The damage is just a tad too low, even after some micro-upgrading and it seems to struggle to lock on to a target at distance on a different level. It would be a shame if it were 'over-tweaked' though - it would lose it's unique character amoungst the other turrets.

I also found it near impossible to kill a Hammer on a wasp coming straight towards me, despite me being fully on target and with full health.  This happened many times. The auto-aim fixes on the turret and not the hull - maybe I'm doing something wrong. Other types of turret were destroyed within normal parameters. Others have also remarked on similar situations with a Hammer, so something odd might be going on here.

Ok, I got some news for those, who are interested :)

First of all there appears to be a bug with Hammer turret. This bug wasn't there during testing, so I assume it was brought by engine optimisations. Will be fixed during next week as soon as possible.

Also some of you might experienced trouble turning Vulcan turret to the left when firing. Keep it cool guys, mouse controls will fix it for those who can not use anti ghosting keyboards. This also might be the next major update.

I wished there was a paint for rail - thunder - hammer - vulcan

Paints become less useful as time goes on.  None of them has ever protected against more than four turrets, but the number of turret types increases.  When I started this game one could wear protection against half of the possible enemy turrets.  Now it is 4/11.

Vulcans biggest advantage is that you can shoot non stop, if you have isida to heal you and maybe some first aid will help on mammoth.

 Im playing with mammoth and fire protect paint. For me its easy to move the turret while shooting and with double gun it destroys everything in front of you. But its not good for every game mode, and its not for attacking. Its for helping your team to destroy enemy tanks as many as possible. So vulcan gun is like a cleaner of the maps and opens a free way to your team tanks.

Thanks for the update.  I'm just glad that they are looking into some of the issues.  Not unexpected that it would need some tweaks.

I have at this point probably have 20hrs in on using the Vulcan and have gotton pretty decent with it.  But it still needs help to be viable.
