Let's discuss new paints!

But, no protection added to the existing paints against Vulcan! Like added for Hammer, but why not?

What do you want? An immobile fortress heavier than Mammy? A speeding hull faster than wasp with no armor? Having new tanks is well and good, but if you're unwilling to put any thought into it, I don't see why developers should. For instance, there could be some kind of "Repulsor" tank that floats. Even so, hulls don't have alot of options, think about it. There are five primary parameters on each hull, most are related. Sacrificing speed usually means more armour et cetera. Turrets can have any number of special effects, (Missiles, Mortars, acid blasters, grenade launchers... Need I go on?

If you have any original ideas on the topic feel free to share them. But don't just say "we need more hulls, cuz, like, there are only seven and that's bes totes less den de number of turrets yo". Gimme, gimme, gimme.

We need some hulls fitted in between others that have special abilities. I've previously suggested a slow, heavy armored hull with only one turret option (high spin, medium-fast fire, low damage, but high knockback for turning incoming opponents), with deployable armor for even more protection, but stationary while armor is deployed. (It would not be able to deploy armor on a CP or CTF base--same restriction as dropping mines.)

 

I've also suggested a light hull, lighter than wasp, similar armor to hornet, armour and speed between hornet and hunter, but with the ability to hop. At M0, it could jump onto the half-ramps a few maps have. At M1, a full level. At speed it could jump onto levels; stationery, it could jump above a sheltering wall and fire (which could get interesting for the tanker and the target). The M2 could clear 1.5 level differences, and M3 could jump two full levels. (Full M3+ could perhaps jump a full 3 levels.)

 

There are other possibilities for special abilities.

The paints are excellent. The hammer paints were good. These are better.

 

I was hoping for a few existing paints to have vulcan protection added. Perhaps still. 

 

The paints look great!

 

Vortex is an eventual addition to my garage, and it is my favorite visually. After that, it is hard to choose. Blacksmith is a very likely addition. 

 

I need some time to contemplate the protection combinations. Good additions at least. 

 

Regarding the aesthetics, I can't say enough. Excellent. All of them.

For existing paints, please consider adding vulcan to a few. Dirty and python seem obvious choices, and a couple more higher up. I'll suggest hohloma and irbis.

Personally I prefer paints that give you protection from a certain range, for example rock gives great short-medium protection, clay gives great medium-long range protection and prodigi gives great long range protection.

 

Honestly I don't rate most of these paints, for example how often do you need both isida and railgun protection? The combination of protections that a paint gives you should be a factor, as well as the actual amount of protection they give you :)

 

Just my opinion :p also I hate the look of lumberjack...

For four long years, I have waited to see good paints been released into this game, whilst starving myself on fantastic masterpieces on Custom made Paints on the forum. Finally, some worthy paints have been added.

 

Blacksmith looks absolutely outstanding.

too much nice paints i am getting lost in it :), lamberjack the close combat vrecker :D, whoohoo, imaginig mamoth m3 sitting on flag with one or two isida healers when almost always close combatants attacking, they are screwed now :D, i would like if some paints get protection against 5 guns cause old tanki:

9 guns - max 4 guns protection

now 11 guns - still 4 guns max give as at least 2-3   5gun protective paints :D
