Let's discuss changes in the parameters of Firebird, Ricochet and Twins

Neutral about dying a sooner death of a too close encounter with Firebird:

you die anyway with a light hull. (without the use of a healthpack)

So the quicker respawn is not too bad, I just hate driving around with an

already doomed afterglowing Tank. ;)

 

Hope Twins got a slight buf by this update.

Don 't use or even like the weapon, but it shouldn 't become obsolete either.

 

Hmm, the final one: Rico. Played the M2 Rico with my alt. account

and that was a long time ago. Not a favorite weapon by far.

Now I could shoot fast and sequentially out of a full clip: 11 plasmaballs. :wacko:

And you don 't need that many to kill an opponent...let alone if it gets used with DP.

 

It 's even very successful in the hands of noobs, probably why it 's so darn popular.

Imagine meeting those (few) skilled Rico-players on the battlefield... :unsure:

Why not rename it into RicOPchet? (it was IMO already close to OP, now it surely is)

Plenty of Rico 's around: so why this buf was needed is a mistery to me.

 

Well, just going to adapt, keep my distance and hope for the best! -_-

Partially agree with these news!

 

Firebird was already too much powerful. Doubling its power is exaggerated (even if I read the same numbers in the tables). Also fire is too much powerful with respect to freeze. Both have a specific side effect so they should be equal.

 

Rico is underpowered. 1 load cannot destroy a viking and it is at limit with hornet. Compared with hammer is a toy.

 

Twins has exaggerated impact force (almost near Rico). Not balanced!

 

Hammer is exaggerately overpowered compared with most weapons. at M2 for example it can destroy all tanks till viking in a load. It is too much!

People always are complaining about all the new updates coming into the game. But seriously, what fun is it to play the same exact game for an extended period in time? Good job Devs!

i can give you reason

 

if you use mathematics you're right, but in a game it means killing will be faster than before

more deaths , more score , faster game and a firebird which became more powerful

 

it gave firebird more chance to kill with afterburn ( in line three , the second time i said damage i meant afterburn not really damage )

and if that doesn't mean that firebird become stronger what does it mean ?

It does become stronger, and you kill faster even though damage is the same that's right, but when you said earlier that Mickey was wrong, he wasn't :p if you read what Mickey was responding to, it was a post that said firebirds damage had doubled, which is clearly hasn't Edited by Pathfinder

when you can kill people in half the time.it indirectly means that damage is doubled by the way we are in same clan ...

sorry my friend, freese has the ablility th "freese" the enemy and that easly makes up for the damage! i wud rather use freese than firebird

I know that. Freeze is my favorite turret. But though the freeze effect is very useful for CTF's, it's a lot slower in gaining exp than firebird. Firebird is also way too common and way too OP. You should have seen freeze before the change in stats last year and it's current stats. It was nerfed way too much. :( Freeze deserves a buff in its freezing time at the very least.

i started play tanki 2 years ago so i know when 33% of the turrets in the game were freeses, but yes i do see a lot more firebirds than freeses recently, but on the point that you gain more xp with fire.... umm..... i actually gained more score with freese than fire, do to the fact that i cud drive around the enemy tank without him being able to touch me! :) P.S. love the new look for hammer

Firebird damage has not been directly affected, only by afterburn. What has not happened is 'damage has been doubled', and you do not 'kill people in half the time'

 

I think this is a misunderstanding, I am looking from an overall perspective, you are thinking only of the afterburn, in which case I can see your point

Yeah. I know that it was very common and deserved a nerf. But, I believe that some other parameter should have been boosted since the DPS was reduced by so much. As for the exp part, I said that because firebird causes a lot more damage than freeze in a shorter duration. You get a higher D/L with freeze, though. But then and again, that doesn't matter as ratings were removed.
