Let's discuss changes in the parameters of Firebird, Ricochet and Twins

The DPS decreased, the range decreased, the time of icing decreased.  Yup, freeze became UP this year.

The updated game engine though did not do much because the release of vulcan lowered my fps and ping even more.

That's great for everyone that has these turrets. I don't see anything for thunder......I can't remember if there was any adjustments for it and I've been playing for a long time. How about speeding up the reload time? You all just pushed the thunder turret out of anything competitive. I still rank up there during battles but that is play style rather than equipment. Meh. Guess yall need a crutch, that's ok.

Tankers!

The introduction of a new turret always leads to changes in the balance of other weapons. To keep all the turrets in the game competitive with the introduction of Vulcan, we have made several changes to the parameters of Firebird, Ricochet and Twins.

  • Firebird’s burning damage has been doubled, while the enemy tanks’ cooling time has been decreased by half. This means that burning tanks will receive the same damage as before but in half the time.
  • Twins’ projectiles travel a bit faster. As before, their speed can be further increased by micro-upgrading the Range parameter.
  • Ricochet spends less energy per shot. For example, a fully micro-upgraded M3 is now capable of shooting 12 balls instead of the previous 10.

Make sure you share your thoughts on these changes in comments below!

I just hope you will issue a refund to all players once you're done constantly tweaking all the parameters. I didn't buy the weapon because of the looks but because of how it stacks up against the competition. If I knew what I know now I would have picked other weapons. Thanks for making me waste crystals. Now I have weapons in the garage that will be collecting dust because of YOUR changes and NOT MY bad decision making.

Firebird Damage has doubled !?!??!!?  What? What? WHAAAT???

You guys sure you translated that correctly into English? I look in the garage, Firebird damage has NOT doubled at all.

Can you please explain that better?

Thanks,

The cooling of burn time has halved and burn damage has doubled.... Read carefully next time,,,,

Why is the firebird, twins and richochet parameters increased but the smoky and railgun's knock back is decreased,: this places smoky and railgun at a disadvantage against the other turrets.

Wait can someone explain this to me -

Rico can now shoot 12 plasma balls, but does each bullets damage stay the same?

Yes, it's little bar of energy got 20% larger. Damage hasn't changed, firing time has.

Sadly it will be impossible for an isida to survive burn, or for that matter the firebird itself. Despite me being an isida user, I accept and like this. Isida shouldnt have been able to pwn firebird.

This is exactly the point. At TO they continue to modify parameters and the alike, often vanishing one's investments. The feeling is they have not anymore the control of the game, clutching as straws.with clumsy innovations. May be that sometimes they come out with something nice, like e.g. the Vulcan, but generally speaking they are not keeping up with a good management of the game, which, it has to be said, it's quite complex.

Personally I feel a lot of Tankers are overreacting on a nerf or buf.

When they read that some parameter of their own favorite weapon has got a slight nerf, their immediate and

first response is that the equipment in question has become "useless".

And the word "refund" is never far away too...

Instead why not first try it out yourself in a real battle situation?

Like the nerf that Smoky recently had on it 's impact.

Tried it out on the battlefield and indeed I noticed it a bit, but the Smoky

was still very capable of shooting off-aim, shooting off-track etc.

Using the Hornet I was a lot more pleased with that fix on the auto-aim update 's flipping than this slight

nerf on the Smoky and Rail 's impact force.

It 's the balance that counts and it 's a dynamic balance nowadays with only minor tweaks.

The day of those earth-shocking parameter changes of the Rebalances and New Physics etc. are gone.

At least I hope so! ;)
