Open testing of the mouse controls!

Extremely hard to use, as I play Tanki on my laptop. If/when this update comes out, please allow us to be able to enable/disable "Mouse Control", as I don't want to accidentally click the mouse button and have the mouse control go berserk while in battle.

Another thing: it looks like you can't access "FlashPlayer" settings anymore, when clicking the right mouse button.

Not a fan of mouse control in full screen mode. But it is okay with the two semi-circles. I find it very difficult to aim rail at close quarters and lead targets. At long range it seems too easy for new players to be "pro" at aiming. I will be sticking to <>?. I hope this helps new players to turn their turrets though. It should make lower ranked battles more interesting.

I dislike the mouse controls the way they are now because they do not follow the same concept as the keyboard controls do. When you use oyur mouse to aim, the camera should follow the turret and your screen should be divided into thirds. When you put your mouse onto the left third, the gun (with the screen/camera) turns left. When you put your most onto the middle third, the gun (with the screen/camera) stays where it is. When you put your mouse onto the right third, the gun (with the screen/camera) turns right. A simple concept.

The reason why people do not understand nor like the new mouse controls is because the camera should act as the camera in the normal Tanki Online does now- it follows the turret as it turns. Sure, I guess you could arguably say this can be done with the fullscreen mode of the mouse controls but the camera can turn faster than the turret at times causing even more confusion! The camera should just look at whatever the "turret is looking at" just like the keyboard controls do.

Play in full screen, that way the turret turns with the mouse. As for the changing of what each button does, I don't know if it'll work

sorry dont like this at all

the problem i have is i am left handed and use the mouse with my right hand

so when im sat at my laptop im having to use my right hand on the mouse

then have to use my left hand to steer the hull which i find very difficult

as i always use my right hand to steer and my left to operate the zx and fire controls

sounds complicated but im sure anyone else left handed will understand what im trying to say

just a opinion. since it is a Tanks game. i dont think mouse will be that good. but if you still want to introduce mouse in Tanki. then you should look at other FPS games like Ghost recon phantoms, Begone etc

i meant to say that in those games it is easy to control our body and use mouse at the same time. but in Tanks it get pretty hard because if you move your mouse even a little bit then it changes camera view. so  sometimes it become hard to asses the battle situation. knowing about enemies position and all.

Reports from guns

Smoky

Window mode

While window mode, mouse allow you quick shots while moving, but doesn't allow shot-and-hide. Sometimes we can do middlefield battles, so this can work with smoky. However, if you want to shot your back or sides, you have to press "Q" and use your tank with "bird looking".

You can do long shot with that quickly, because you can use any turning speed except higher than your turning.

Very well for bird seeing and long shots, good for quick shots while moving.

Bad for shot-and-hide, bad for looking around, bad for short range(except bird seeing)

Full screen

Too good for shot-and-hide, because camera follows turret and "like gyroscope effect" fix your aim automatically.

However, while moving, "like gyroscope effect" becomes problem.

Turret turns so slow.

Smoky report

For middle field quick shots, window mode

For too long range shots, window mode

For shot-and-hide, full screen

If you want to look around often and fight with using hull very well, don't use mouse.

Twins

Window mode

Normally, keyboard is preferred for short range, however, window mode is a gift for twins :)

Definetely i will use that with twins.

Keyboard doesn't allow to use 4 button at the same time, but mouse can be used instead of 3 button(left turret, right turret and shot) so you can do follow shots.

If you add mroe turning with hull, you can do any quick aim with twins, that can help you against lots of fast target, but like smoky, you have to press Q, or just fight opponents that in front of you.

Ful screen

There is nothing for twins while full-screen!

Twins report

For following, bird-seeing fights and front middle fights, very well.

But, still if you need look around often(expecially long range) don't use that.

Don't use full-screen with twins.

Vulcan

Window mode

Because of gyroscope effect, turret doesn't follow hull, so still don't use vulcan for following.

Same as smoky, you can do long-range shots very well with vulcan.

Anyway, hull doesn't turn turret, so if you don't want to look around, mouse is better for vulcan.

However, for short range, still keyboard can be better.

Full screen

If you change your control 2 times and return to full screen, controls doesn't work with vulcan

And you may need to change your mouse settings.

Nothing special for vulcan in full-screen

Vulcan report

Window mode is very good for every topic, except looking around. Mouse may be problem for turning.

There is nothing for vulcan while  full-screen.

Railgun

Window mode

Railgun is not like smoy or twins or vulcan. Just good for long-range shots while not moving.

Full Screen

There is something special for railgun. "Like gryoscope" effect can help you for shot-and-hide aim, so can use your hull more free.

Railgun report

For long-shots while staying, window

For shot-and-hide, full screen

Shaft

Window mode

Scope mode

Bad! Just bad!

Arcede

Jusr for long range shots.

Full screen mode

Just don' use.

Short range guns

There is no reason to use mouse.

Ricochet

Same as twins

Thunder

Same as smoky
