Ideas for Supplies and Drones!

I'm sure somebody already proposed this or something similar, but still I would like to bring it back up...

 

What about nerfing the supplies? :D

Who even considers the ideas shared in here? Has anything been done with any idea that showed up here?

Am I correct that this is practically just purely for discussion? <_<

Repair kit: Instead of healing 2000 hp per second by 2 seconds, make it heal 1000 hp per second by 4 seconds. 

 

Double damage: I either suggest decreasing fire speed by 10% or decreasing from 100% damage to 75% damage.

 

Double armor: I either suggest decreasing hull speed by 10% or decreasing from 100% hp to 75% hp.

 

Speed boost: instead of increasing the speed of your tank and turret by 40%, make it 30-35%.

 

Mine: instead of 1200-2400 damage, let's make it 1400-2200 and make them visible from a little bit longer, just, a little bit.

 

You tanki devs know that many players are complaining about supplies and that you are losing players by this. This is a fair way to nerf supplies without making them lose too much of their function.

Seriously Ideas for * are like ideas that are never going to be seen. Why not be honest and then just reject these ideas?  You devs think I'm a fool?

They're valid ideas and there's no reason to reject them. I can't just say "this is never going to happen" because it might and at the same time I don't want to have 100 ideas for different hulls, turrets and supplies in separate topics.

 

But when it comes to nerfing supplies, then it most likely won't happen. This discussion has been going on ever since supplies were introduced many years ago, so I doubt they will change now.

I would like there too be  "Ammo" supplies you push the 7 key and you have full ammo for however

long the supplies last,   please. As in say you have the firebird equiped you can hold down the "space" bar forever till the "AMMO" supply runs out. cost 50 cry.

HI. ADD BACK THE 10 CRY SUPPLY

Idea has been requested a lot but the only answer is no and something how people would join battles and only drive around to get 10 crystal boxes.

I've been involved with TO for a little while. I started off not too long after the big economy update, and got myself all the way up to where I am now, then stopped playing for a while. So I came back today, and hopped in a game, and was absolutely blown away by the sheer number of people in every game I joined seemed to have an unlimited source of supplies, (and the will to use them constantly). People spawning and putting on a double damage or a defense supply instantly, or repairing every time they were able and had taken damage, it was a little hard being someone who doesn't stock any supplies at all. Now its pretty difficult to spend THAT much on supplies and actually advance in the game without spending money, but that's not what I'm here to mention. I'm more here to suggest that supplies not be as ridiculously powerful as they are. Being able to just press a key and instantly upgrade your vehicle at all is already a pretty powerful ability, but to double it's HP or damage output is...it's a lot. Now for some reason, before now, there weren't so many people spamming thee supplies. I mean there usually was that one guy camping in the corner running the twins/viking combo who just always had double damage and a repair ready every time you got close, but it was never much more than a use here and there in a tight situation you needed to fight your way out of, or into. Now so many people just put them on when they spawn, because the only way to survive, outside of having a massive skill and/or equipment advantage, is to spam supplies right back, causing a power creep through that entire game. I really think games would be a lot more fun if we didn't have to deal (now anyways) with most of the players in a game constantly pressing there number keys, and instead, just learned to properly use their vehicle. I mean, I can still have decent games, but I'll never be in the top three on a server like I could have been before without spamming supplies. It's a problem, and I think it makes up this game's greatest downfall. I know that there would be outrage if supplies were removed or made too expensive, so maybe, one day someone could be convinced to convey the idea that supplies should be made less powerful, forcing people to rely more on skill than pressing a single button and instantly being able to win a skirmish. I believe that would greatly increase both the skill ceiling, and the playability of Tanki Online. I really love this game, and I think I always will, so seeing this kind of thing, the kind of thing that kills a lot of games, get worse makes me sad. For now though, I probably won't be on all that often, even though I could be. It just isn't worth trying without supplies most times.

I have been suggesting recently that over usage of supplies should carry some penalty when it comes to the battle rewards.

 

Surely it isn't right that some buyer can win games and take the biggest rewards simply because they have bought more supplies than anyone else and can hit the 1-5 keys repeatedly?

 

I have suggested that there should be a threshold limit for the amount of supplies used that is considered to be fair. After that battle rewards are reduced for that person according to the amount of supply "over use". e.g. a reduction in crystals and/ or experience.

 

And before all you druggers start whining again, consider who gets the most real game experience from a battle, someone who uses tactics and the capabilities of their equipment to skilfully beat an enemy or someone who simply camps out and takes out the opposition while remaining untouchable through the constant use of supplies?

Encouraging drugging may quickly boost the company's revenue for the short term, but will hurt the game in the long run as it so much ruins game experience. Supplies are known as drugs among players, but also they are also drugs to the company.

 

When skills no longer matter, more players will choose to leave ... so sad ...

The Zero Module is just only a decoy. Can the developers merge together with the Zero Module, the Zero Supply Mode as well. At the moment, the Zero Module is quite useless because it does not give any special ability. When players equip this Zero Module, it will only make the Zero Supply Mode available to player to use in battles, which they can turn on and off. When this module is equipped, it will also disable modules with protections off as well.

What do you mean with Zero Supply 'Mode'?

 

For me, Zero module allow you to remove all the protections from your tank, to make the battles a bit fairer sometimes.
