Add two new supply boxes - Magnet and Stars supply box

 

Hello tankers. The Riddler "RIDDLER_8" is back with another awesome idea.

 

Magnet Supply

 

Some time ago, I have written a post dedicated to a magnet supply that was dedicated to gold boxes. This topic was declined because I pushed it a little too far. It was unfair for the supply to be only suitable for gold boxes. This time, I have modified my idea to make it more fair and suitable for all supply boxes.

 

Tanki Online recently received a brand new supply called "Nuclear Energy". This supply is amazing because it fills up your overdrive gauge to 100%. However, there is nothing really original here because the overdrive already existed for quite a long time now.

 

So my suggestion is to come up with a 100% new and original supply that has never ever being seen or used in Tanki Online before. My idea is a "Magnet" supply pickup box. Please read on below:

 

How magnet supply box works:

 

Once a player picks up a magnet supply box, it will activate itself for 30 seconds. The magnet supply box will magnetize all regular supply boxes including the "Nuclear Energy" supply and gold box. The range of magnetism should be between 5 to 10 meters in range circumference.

 

The magnet supply will be a white box with a red horseshoe magnet. When picked up in battles, only one magnet will be issued to the player. The magnum box will have to be an item that has a rarity between normal supplies and the gold box supply. What I mean is that the frequency drop rate must not be too common, nor too rare, but just right.

 

The drop zone for this supply will be a red horseshoe marker which will reflect the "magnet" supply box. The color of the box will need to be white so that it can be properly distinguished between the other supplies. I am not too sure about the material appearance of the Magnet supply box. My closest guess is that it might have a wooden texture like double armor and double damage or simply another material texture. That's for the developers to decide on the physical texture of the "Magnet" supply box. The color, of course, must be a white box with a red horseshoe magnet, like I specified above.

 

The activated time will be 30 seconds, just like the normal supplies, (double armor, double damage and speed boost) supplies. I am not too sure about the magnet's cooldown so I will leave this suggestion for developers to decide on how to properly balance the cooldown of this hot new supply against the 30 seconds of active time. When players pick up a magnet supply box, it is added in the player's garage and ready to use in battles, just like double armor and double damage.

 

Players can earn the magnet supply box in daily missions, weekly mission chains, earns them from containers or buy them from the shop.

 

Stars Supply

 

Recently, stars have been added to Tanki Online. The first time that stars were added to Tanki Online was on the "War Herald 1" and re-appeared on the "War 2" contest. In the near future, stars will be added to giveaways instead of the usual kill tiers, for a change.

 

Stars are an amazing cool fun feature that players fight for in batltes. Stars are like a new free-to-earn currency that players earn in battles for their placement and battle efficiency. When enough stars are picked up, the players earn a certain amount of containers depending on the reward size. By now we all know the rules. This paragraph is only a recap.

 

How the stars supply box works:

 

The "stars" supply box is an idea I have in mind which could become a permanent feature of Tanki Online. The stars supply box will have a rare frequency which, will be twice more common than the gold box supply, but at the same time, this supply box will be still quite rare.

 

The color of the stars supply box will be silver in color. The reason why I picked silver as a color is because I cannot use bronze or gold because bronze is the color of double armor supply and gold is the color of the gold box supply, so we need a new unused color, so silver is the right choice for the "Stars" supply pickup box. Once the stars supply box is picked up in battles, it will be added to your garage and ready to use like the functionality of normal supplies like the double armor and double damage. When picking up a stars supply box, 10 stars will be giving to the player. The stars supply box will not have any activated time like the magnet supply and its cooldown will be 5 seconds, just like the gold box supply. Players can also drop stars supply boxes in battles just like they do with gold boxes.

 

The stars supply box is not a replacement, nor crystals funding like gold boxes or containers. Instead, stars supply boxes only give 10 stars to the player.

 

Players will also be able to earn the stars supply box by completing daily missions, weekly mission chains, earning star boxes from containers or buy them from the shop as well.

 

This is it. Here is my idea on the two new supply boxes which I think would be a very nice idea to add them as a permanent feature in Tanki Online, but only available to earn or buy as supply boxes.

 

Please have a thorough read and thought about my topic here. Please do not decline this topic because it will really benefit on bringing something new and original to Tanki Online. If I am wrong somewhere in the topic, please correct me, instead of declining this topic. This topic must go in the under review section. Please do not merge this topic with any other topics on supply boxes because this topic is an original one.

I suppose "star box" could be a good alternative to the gold box during crazy weekends, but I don't think it will be implemented. The magnet box sounds rather pointless. I'm assuming the only reason you want it is so that you could use it to "magnetise" gold boxes when they drop.

Concerning the magnet box, I don't think that it will have any noticeable advantages to whoever picks it up.The mere good thing about it is that it could be somewhat helpful to those who have no supplies , but come on, who does not have supplies in the drugging era.

 

Regarding the star box, I really like the idea , it's unique, original and the much needed feature with Star Week. I'd definitely like to see it in the game in the near future.

That, or the devs should increase the impact force of current mines.

A mine should have enough damage to destroy any tank at any rank and any level of MU unless they are using a Spider module period.

My idea is that the overdrive, have different colors when activated, an example of this is to customize the overdrive, putting different colors, like a blue, red among others, this customization of overdrive can be bought in the store.

It is placed in a way that only the blue team has a chance of actually taking it.

Nothing will change. Buyers will buy crystals and then buy supplies.

If 'buyers' buy crystals, they won't have a lot of m4s and a lot of supplies at the same time, they will have to buy supplies with the crystals bought and micro upgrade if they can, so they'll have to buy crystals over and over again. Better economy for Tanki and the 'buyers' will be smarter when buying, you know what I mean? They will feel like a player that doesn't buy idk if Im explaining myself correctly

I don't see what the problem is. According to you, buyers buy supplies with real money AND crystals with real money. Why can't they just buy more crystals with the money they used to buy supplies?

I would guess that the 1500 supply kit is cheaper than buying crystals and then 15 supply 100 kits.

If supplies are removed from the shop, as the person I was replying to suggests, I'm sure supply kits would be re-added to the garage.

Last couple of days i find it funny to say when anybody asks for PLS drop gold ( or similar ) , to respond with : drop rubber .

Then it looked really funny if that actually would be rubber , bouncing all over the playing field . Coming in like a meteor speed , and then bouncing around , To get it you need to be somewhere in the line where it is , and touch it ( like with all other ) . Maybe something for 1 april ? .

Supplies need a nerf

 

This idea is pretty simple, supplies (especially double armor and double damage) need a nerf to the point where people without drugs won't get mowed down.  For example, double damage could be reduced from +100% to +50%, and the same for double armor.  Other supplies are somewhat balanced and don't need a nerf though.

Developers stated many times that this will not be implemented. 50% supplies are just not exciting enough, so instead the game has been heading in a direction where every player is capable of getting enough supplies if they manage their resources well.

well it could be special pro battle option

(1 supply)

speed boost 40%

armor/damage 100%

(2 supplies)

armor+damage 80% each

armor or damage 80% + speed boost reduced to 30%

(3 supplies)

armor + damage 75% and speed boost gives 25 boost instead of 40

Supplies are fine because they're readily available for everyone, so it's balanced. 

also there's already the option to disable supplies when creating pro battles. 

You must not know what it feels like to be spawn-killed by a twins m4 when you Join a deathmatch then.

1. never hit the wrong key


2. never accidentally perform an OS shortcut command


3. easily employ the game-changing health-pack and mine


4. don't need to look at the keyboard.

i posted a an idea for a drone that, when you give it a battery, it places a small turrent that targets enemy players that enter its FOV. (easy to so as it moves back and forth). for damage and health see that post on the drones page. but i thought a weaker version could become a supply that replaces tha mine? just throwing out the idea.
